The Second Day!

I was woken up by the noise of the soldiers outside. Many of them were already awake and all set to fight and some of them were still putting their armor on. I had placed my armor on the side of my bed. There was no time for a bath. Probably, the enemies might die by the bad smell my body would emit. Anyway, I got my armor on and came out. The DELTAs were ready for battle. I found Master Polwern and Wade going around, checking if any issues arose.

By six in the morning, as the Saphrop rose, we marched towards the battle-field. The Xorains seemed to be punctual people because they too were present on the other end which was barely in sight. This time there was no talk with the King. The horns were blown by the Xorain army and I heard war cries from their end. "Victory to Darknor!!!!!!!!" I cried and everyone yelled with me, running into the battleground. Even though I had been through this just the previous day, whenever we ran towards an army, I got the same feeling. I felt my heart pounding, my hands aching, my body shivering and yet charged with strength to defeat the enemy once and for all.

As the armies collided, once again I tore through the smaller soldiers and rushed forward. A lot of monsters in the path were killed. This time, I had with me Amanda and Druk. Mark, as he had promised, was with Oliver, trying to keep up with his quick pace. Xavier drove the warship above without me. Apparently, he had not slept last night and was practicing his driving and fighting skills.

Amanda and I dashed through the Vehemonts, met with the skeletal warriors, killed the giants and yet were far from our goal – King Jalaar. We decided to continue our journey that we left the previous day. After an hour, I found Raptor in the horizon. Today he was in his Normal Form, not doing much. "To Raptor!" I commanded and everyone understood. Oliver and Mark were still behind but they knew where they were supposed to head to. Xavier was mostly above Oliver, clearing the path for him.

Going to Raptor wasn't easy. There were a lot of giants in the way. After the Mount Hysuptris incident, where we killed many giants, very few of them were left. They were in hundreds before but now had reduced to around thirty. But that still wasn't a small number. A lot of foes tried to disrupt us. I slashed through most of them but then met with a group of skeletal warriors. "Watch out for those!" I told Amanda as we dodged them and progressed. I had learnt from my previous interaction with the skeletons that they just didn't care. You couldn't kill them because... well, they were already dead. But the only way to defeat them was to make sure at least one of the bones were broken.

Breaking bones wasn't my thing. So, we continued forward, ignoring many of the skeletons. Wade had been riding on Sounge's back and firing any monster he spotted. After a while, he thought of sending the hermit to me as I needed him more. Sounge's speed was exactly what we needed to get to Raptor. So, after a few minutes, I heard Sounge's usual noise from behind. He stopped right beside me, almost asking me to climb on him. I obliged and the hermit began galloping so fast, that Amanda couldn't manage. Druk was still on one side, galloping with Sounge.

I found a whale-like creature trying to stop me. I hadn't fought them yet and decided to not take any risks. I threw Magnum which slashed through its stomach and the monster fell. Many like those came but they too had the same fate. One of them had almost eaten my head with its fangs but Druk used his claws and tore the monster's body.

I heard Adonis behind, yelling, "Hey! I am old but not weak! Go away you fools!" He was actually fighting quite well. I guess that's what you expect from someone who was once one of the best warriors. He fought with not much thought about his moves but his recklessness seemed to help him in the crowd of foes around him.

As Druk and I proceeded, I noticed something strange. It was noontime, and a large cloud had shown up right above us, shadowing the whole area. When I looked up, I realized it wasn't a cloud – it was Trikallous. His one eye – red in color – glared at us. Even Druk whimpered softly when he saw the deadly monster. Trikallous had been massacring large numbers of our allies throughout the war. I realized that taking him out would be almost impossible but wise decision. He was a great threat and exterminating him would be of a great relief for our army.

"How do we win this one?" Druk asked, his voice one octave higher, showing his slight fear. I didn't have to answer. The reply came from the loud war cry in the east. Everyone, allies and enemies, turned towards that side. I suddenly heard a voice. The Red One, Phantom declared, "You completed your deal! I'll fulfill mine!"
