Do You Have Any Equipment?

Rock Flames had left us stunned. This was more than shocking. You can't just tell us that we are going on a quest to find the strongest warriors from tomorrow. Now I understood why he sent my father home.

"Mr. Flames was serious about whatever he said. I saw panic in his eyes. We ought to join him." Oliver suggested. Still in shock, I couldn't speak so I just nodded. "So we will meet tomorrow. Bye!" Saying so, he also went away. I slowly came back to my hotel room.

I lied down on the bed for some time, letting things get adjusted in my mind. Then I went with packing my bag. I needed to check out of the hotel as I wasn't coming back. I took all my things and sorted them neatly which was not kind of like boys.

Anyways, it had become around 1:00 in the afternoon so I went down the hotel to have my lunch. The moment I came in, everyone stopped at their places, as if the time had stopped. The restaurant manager rushed towards me. "Mr. Blaze! We are honored to have you for lunch. Please come this way." He said and led me to a grand seat. It was only for one person with flowers decorated around. For a moment I forgot why I was given this much importance.

"Sir, you can order anything you wish. Your lunch is complimentary." The manager said which I felt was too much. But who would say no to a delicious complimentary lunch. I ate all the mouth-watering stuff I could until my stomach begged no more please!

I was given the same treatment during dinner as well. I couldn't sleep well at night, thinking of the quest we were undertaking. The next day, I got up at 8:50 am. I quickly had a bath and dressed up. I wore a newly bought T-shirt which looked cool on me and a pair of denim jeans. (Darknor also has denim jeans. You can in fact say Darknor is a replica of Earth but better.)

I checked out of the hotel which wasted some precious time as the hotel manager was refusing to take money from the champion.

I reached Rock Flames's office by a taxi. Oliver had already reached with Rock Flames sitting on the sofa. Looking at the nicely furnished sofa, I wanted to join him but he got up.

"So, today as you may know, we are going to travel to Mount Drake. I hope you have brought your climbing gears." Rock Flames said. His face showed that he was positive about us bringing the necessary equipment. Oliver and I had gone pale. We had not thought about it and neither did we know how to get them now. Rock Flames understood the matter by our expression.

"You haven't brought any equipment?" He asked. We both shook our heads proudly as if we were going to be praised soon. "We may have trouble climbing the mountain. I hope you know that the mountain is steep and dangerous." He added more to our distress. We both looked at each other and then gave a let's do it sign.
