Blaze Deception: A Villain in a Hero's Disguise

All I wanted was a simple life: love, shelter, food, my hobby of motorcycling. But fate granted me wealth and power, shackling my freedom. Forced into a life of social expectations and heir training, I obeyed for my family's honor and my love for them as Honor and Pride were unshaken pillars of my family. Despite not being strict, they didn't mess around with traditions. To me, they were my heroes, pillars of kindness. Yet the very target of their kindness, the people they saved and protected, became the ones who burned them to their death. Betrayal tore them from me, shattering the good heart they cultivated in me and plunging me into darkness. Only one question left: What do I do!? Revenge!! That's what my heart shouted at me as my heart turned cold. Can I reclaim the heroism they instilled in me, or am I destined to become the villain that grew within me? __________ This novel might have slower or faster pacing in some places. The first volume focuses more on the MC's backstory. The villain's acts and deceptions will be in the second volume. Regarding romance, I haven't added a tag yet. Let's see how the story goes and whether there's a need for romance. I'm still new to writing, so please bear with me. Tell me your suggestions via comments. Plan

Looking at the information I collected I can't help but be excited.

Finally, I have evidence of General Lizandro's illegal dealings. The Black Market online surely lives up to its reputation. It has a great firewall and complex security. I had a hard time tracking information.

Who would have thought that Chief Armorer was the one who was monopolizing the firearms factory in a facade of a legitimate metalworking factory?

While the Narcotics Chief was actually the one who was providing illegal drugs on the black market.

And there are more, even law officers are included they manipulate investigations and shield criminal activities within the black market, using their influence to protect criminal interests.

What a messy government it is.

But I need them by my side to gain power and control.

Now what's my next move?

I need people to keep an eye on them.

While contemplating...

Knock knock knock

I looked at the door where I heard Vince's voice asking "Bro can I disturb you?"

"Okay," I answered.

He opened the door and walked towards me.

Raising an eyebrow I asked him in a mischievous tone "What a miracle you knocked and didn't barge in unannounced. What do you want now?"

He looked around and saw the information on the monitors.

With a slightly tilted head, he inquired "What are these Bro?"

"Those are evidence. I plan to take control of the Black Market in Sparks Country. Tell me first what do you want from me?"

"Can I earn money from this?" His eyes are wide open and he smiles brightly while asking that.

Oh, man! Seems like he really turned into a money grubber.

"Yes, you can. I'll let you handle the online transactions."

"Really? Okay, tell me what to do now?" His excitement is palpable.

"Tell me first why are you looking for me?"

"I-I just wanna ask you if we can move forward with the product launch for tomorrow. But I think I will earn more money from here." His eyes were glinting as he moved his gaze back and forth from me and the monitors.

"What do you need the money for?"

"There will be an auction of an island at Veilhaven Country. I want to have it."

"An island? In Veilhaven?"

That would be great. After all, I need to plan my way of coming back to Veilhaven.

While contemplating...

I was startled when I looked up and saw Vince's face up close staring at me with his inquisitive eyes.

I step back and push his face away "You! Move your face away from me."

"You suddenly stopped talking and staring into blank space. Tell me what I need to do now." He demanded with excitement in his voice.

Feeling irritated, "Fine! And don't you dare stare at me up close again or I'm gonna punch your face the next time."

Sigh. He always frightens me. Seriously!

"Just send a copy of that evidence to those people. Tell them to come to the military base at their main hideout by the end of the month at 9 pm sharp or else the public will know of their illegal dealings."

"Okay, I got it!" He sat down in front of the monitors and started hacking into those accounts.

"Make sure to leave no trace or else we are done for,"

I told him in a serious tone.

What we are dealing with now isn't child play. One wrong move may cause our death.

"Handle it well. I have something to tell Greg I will be out first."

Without looking at me he replied "Okay, bye"

---

I found Greg sitting inside the private room of the Underground Arena with his shirt stained with blood.

He stood up after knowing it was me "Brother Blaze what's up? Why are you here? Did you finally agree to go hiking this weekend?"

He offered me a sit and we both sat down. Facing each other while there is a table in between us.

"I thought you were in school? What have you done this time?" I give him an inquisitive gaze.

He smirks while saying "Bro you didn't tell me you were coming. So I fought a while ago. Can we go hiking? Will you please?"

"No! I have something important that needs your cooperation."

"Oh, my mighty Bro is finally asking my help. Wait, wait...repeat what you said I'm gonna record it."

He excitedly gets his phone and opens the recording app.

"Come on Brother Blaze, say it again." His brown eyes were sparkling with anticipation.

What the! Should I repeat what I said or not? Sigh. I badly needed his help this time.

After taking a breath I looked at him directly in the eyes while saying "Make me repeat myself and I would never allow you to enter the house again."

The heck with that! I wouldn't please anyone!

He suddenly got up from his seat and offered me a glass of water "Bro, relax, don't be mad. I'm so sorry okay. Tell me what you want I will do it wholeheartedly."

Rubbing my temples, "Sit down and listen carefully. I'm not in the mood for your antics."

"Okay, Bro what is it? I'm all ears."

"I plan to take control of the Black Market. I need your people to do things for me."

In shock, he blurted out "What? Are you serious Bro? As in the Black Market? You know that's a serious thing. How many times we were almost killed by those assassins in the Black Market."

"Hey! Tone down your voice. People outside will gonna hear you."

With a lower tone "But Bro are you deadly serious about it?"

His almost whispering now. Sigh.

"Yes, I have my plans, and I need your people to cooperate. They should become rulers instead of just following the contract."

"You mean we'll be leading the black market without caring about the contract or partnership?"

"Are you missing the point? If there's a new leader, the contract becomes invalid. Just tear it up. I can't comprehend why your people entered a partnership with the black market when you could have been the rulers.

The Protector Agency has more men and more influence why did they enter a partnership contract? Is it for shared resources or information exchange?"

"Don't ask me I don't know anything about that. I only know we have that partnership with them." Greg shrugs.
