Dangarous Forest.

The first thing that Connor and Bedeila were given were their training uniforms. They were different from the one that Connot used as his hero suit as that was the uniform made for combat. The training ones were made out of a special material that fought against your movements.

It was also made to weigh you down to your absolute limit which made Bedeila and Connor begin to struggle already. Connor's suit weighed 3 tons as it was made of condensed material. To make things worse they were forced to wear 4 condensed wrist and ankle bracelets that in total weighed another ton.

Bedeila and her father were given a few minutes to get used to the weight as this was part of the training. Surpassing the limits of the body as the stronger your quirk got the worse the strain on the body became.

Connor was already sweating, but he was walking slowly and steadily. Bedeila was the same as this was not the first time she was forced to do this kind of training. Only she had never been forced to walk with 3 full tons on her body.

Connor complained at the suit as it reminded him of when he was a kid.

"Just like I remember. Only worse."

Bedeila had to agree.

"I know. Is this what you went through for years dad?"

Jack laughed at them as he wore the same thing suit and bracelets.

"You bet he did. Of course, we don't want to break our soldiers so everyone gets what they can stand. Even a quirkless who trains themselves through our methods will become a demon. Of course, we don't want quirkless here as we need quirks."

Jenna who was standing next to him also had the same training suit. It just did not weigh as much as the one her husband, son, and granddaughter were wearing.

"That is just the thing. A quirkless can get plenty strong and fast with the right training, but give that same training to anyone with one and it just won't match. Quirk factor gives a boost to the whole body if pushed to the limit. Quirks are a muscle, train them till they grow."

Mathew's company researched quirk factors since he set up his company so no one knew more about quirk training than he did. He had a tablet in hand as he was making sure the nanomachines that were injected into Bedeila and Connor were running smoothly.

"Alright. I can see that they are working in order and even if you do nothing you will begin to notice subtle changes over time. In the case of Bedeila over time you will be stronger, regenerate faster and your flames will even be strengthened.

As for you Connor, your durability, speed, and regeneration will gain a boost. Our Werewolf quirk is all-encompassing and since my father was born it has just gotten stronger. Bedeila you are the strongest member of our family only you look human."

Bedeila was the odd one out as she was the first female with the Werewolf quirk in the 4 generations of the Canis family. Before Alexander Canis things were different, but the Werewolf quirk seemed to be male dominant.

It did not help that members of the Canis family on average only had one child. They did not know if her human appearance had to do with her being female or something.

"Do you think if I awaken my quirk I will become like you guys?"

Mathew shook his head.

"Actually, no. I think it will follow the same trait as the way you transform your hands. You might be able to shift back and forth between your human and werewolf state. Of course, that will not happen any time soon."

Jack coughed as it was time.

"Go into the middle of the base. I will be gathering the troops. They have not been slacking, but time to give them a shock."

Jenna laughed as she went out to call for more extreme training for everyone. They had 15,000 troops here along with the noncombat personnel. Jack motioned for them to go.

"Alright, here you stop being my family. You are just another body under my command.

"IS THAT CLEAR!"

"SIR, YES SIR!"

Both Connor and Bedeila did not hesitate to salute and get into character. Jack grinned as he sent them out. Jack and Jenna walked out onto a balcony as they overshadowed the 15,000 soldiers under his command.

Connor and Bedeila were at the front waiting for him to begin. A lot of the soldiers who had been here since Connor was a child looked at him with smiles as they were glad he was back. Some of them kept looking at Bedeila out of the corner of their eyes as Connor got a kid.

They looked varied as there were many mutation quirk users among them. Many more had only some changes as their quirks were emitters. If you thought of it the quirk was among the Dragon Division.

Before anyone could say anything Jack took a deep breath and his booming voice was heard by all of them.

"ATTENTION!"

The sound of boots slamming on the ground echoed in the snowstorm and the base. It went silent as not one of the soldiers made a sound. Jack saw that Connor and Bedeila were in sync and had no lapse of judgment.

They stood tall looked forward and had gotten into the mentality of soldiers.

"ALRIGHT! I WILL GET THIS OUT NOW! MY SON AND GRANDDAUGHTER HAVE JOINED OUR LITTLE DIVISION SO TO NOT MAKE A FOOL OF OUR SELF TRAINING IS TRIPLED!"

Not one of the soldiers made a sound, but they were dreading it already. Jack did not let up though.

"WE ARE THE DRAGON DIVISON! AS SUCH WE WILL TRAIN WITH THE HEARTS OF DRAGONS! TRAINING STARTS NOW!"

Mathew clicked a button on his tablet which caused the gravity of every soldier to double. Many buckled under the weight as the nanomachines had fixed the issue they had before. They sped up recovery and they had some of the best healers around.

With that, they could push their training to new levels. What better time to use it than when Bedeila and Connor were here? When Jack saw them buckle he snarled.

"I SAW YOU BUCKLE! ARE YOU SOLDIERS OR ARE YOU TRASH! 1,000 PUSHUPS! NOW!"

In an organized manner, they all dropped to the ground and began to do their required pushups. Of course, they yelled out in sync as they did them so the booming sound of their counting filled the base.

None of them realized how the nanomachines in their bodies were hard at work. Nanomachines were stimulated by their training. This was just the body training as the nanomachines worked just as well when one used their quirks.

When they all finished their 1,000 pushups many were tired, but they could go longer. Jack smiled at the sight as things were working as intended.

"GREAT! THE WARMUP IS OUT OF THE WAY! FOR THE NEXT 9 MONTHS YOU WILL BE PUSHED TO YOUR BREAKING POINT! ANY INJURED WILL BE TREATED INSTANTLY AND RETURNED TO TRAINING!

YOUR QUIRKS, BODIES, AND MINDS WILL BE TESTED IN ALL MANNER OF TRIALS!"

He stopped yelling as he smiled.

"I believe in you, so believe in yourselves. I will not stay out of the training mind you. How can I let you all get stronger than me."

Bedeila smiled, but no one saw it as it was hidden by her mask.

'The carrot and the stick. Grampa is as tricky as always.'

Just as Jack promised the 1,000 push-ups were just the warm-up. They were all gathered outside of the base where the snow fell and piled up. They were still in the formation as Jack stood in front of them.

"YOUR FIRST REAL TEST WILL TO RUN TO THE LIMIT OF THE SNOWSTORM! LAST I CHECKED IT IS 100 MILES AND THE WILDERNESS IS FULL OF QUIRK-INFESTED ANIMALS AND PLANTS! DON'T DIE!"

Mathew flew in from the sky wearing what Bedeila could only call an Astartes power armor mixed in with Ironman. Warhammer40k was something from over 200 years ago and yet to Mathew, it was one of his favorite works of fiction to take inspiration from.

That suit looked like a Wolf Priest of the Space wolves and it even had an arc reactor in the chest. After 120 years of life, he had time to push his company innovations to new might. Jack sighed at his father showing off. He flew in the sky as he looked at all of them. Mike appeared in front of his mouth so the whole army could hear him.

"Alright, for the last 180 years this snowstorm has been maintained by several types of quirks. What you all should know is that the power of quirks has saturated this entire area. The fauna and flora have adapted and are extra dangerous.

This means you might encounter animals or plants with quirks."

Jack sighed.

"Dad, we know this already. We have been stationed here for a long time."

Mathew looked down at him as he smirked.

"You have, but did you know that the animals are also growing stronger. You should know that the wild is dangerous so only the strong survive. That forest has become a danger zone and I believe you will find things that can give a run to any of you."

Jack looked at one of his men.

"When was the last time we did any surveillance of the forest?"

When the man thought of it he realized something.

"The last time was 10 years ago. The forest never seemed to get too dangerous so it became just part of the environment."

Jack looked up to his dad.

"Are you telling me that we have a full forest of quirk mutated creatures?"

Mathew nodded.

"Of course. Nature always finds a way to survive. Think of this as another trial for your troops."

Jack did not have fear for the forest. He only saw it as a possible way to push his troops further. He grinned which made many of his troops worry.

"YOU WILL MARCH THROUGH THE FOREST AND CAPTURE SOME OF THE FAUNA! GET GOING!"

Connor and Bedeila glanced at each other as they nodded. They were going to catch a super quirk wolf or even a grizzly bear. If this forest was full of powerful mutated fauna they for sure wanted to find them.

15,000 soldiers rushed into the forest as they began both their march and their job. Mathew landed on the ground as he looked at the forest.

"How I love quirks? It is almost as cool as technology to study."

Jack patted his armor as he wondered what it was made of it.

"What is that suit made of?"

Mathew bragged a bit as he walked toward the forest.

"Ceramite. Well my best imitation of ceramite, but I am sure I got 75% of the effectiveness from it. If you are wondering if I will mass produce these suits the answer is for sure. Just not now. This is the only one I made for myself."

While they did that Connor and Bedeila rushed through the quirk storm that seemed to have gotten colder, windier than it got through their fur. They were running through the treetops on all fours as they used their noses and ears to look for some animals.

All over the forest soldiers that had mutation quirks were doing well as they were made for this. Some who had speed quirks were rushing through the forest as they wanted to get this over with. Others who had ice quirks were doing fine, while fire quirk users had some trouble.

No one had it as hard as the ones who had reptile traits, but they pushed past the limits of their blood. Connor and Bedeila smelled the air with intrest. Connor smelled something.

"GOT IT!"

They both were on a quest to finish the test and bag themselves another pet. One could never have enough wolves, especially one with a quirk.
