1 Battle for Dominance

A deafening clangor rang out as an impaasive tremor ran strongly through the expanse of bushes and it's desolate area.

The intense clashing of two metals sent sonic boom resonating through the atmosphere, carrying with it eerie tension and pressure.

The air filled with palpable bloodlust and strong killing intent.

The silhouette of two men appeared.

One of them looking hefty and had a muscular built, while the other... looking out of shape.

The Out of shape young man had long unsheathed his sword and was imminently unleashing barrage of attacks at the other, while at the same time grimacing as pain wracked his being. He had been stabbed on the earliest and sliced at the same time on his right shoulder.

The out of shape young man was known as Blake Listerio.

Blake has been waiting for the perfect opportunity to land his devastating blow. His hands flashing, his legs working as though told by endless labour and practice.

Another terrifying clangor reverberated sending the built man a step back.

Blake gritted his teeth, his body groaning as though the bones in his body were about to shatter due to the powerful battle which seemed never-ending.

This hefty man of the Han-Li clan was way too strong for him coupled with the fact that, this same hefty man had already faced grievous injuries, Blake still had a hard time fending him off.

Being a Han-Li was a form of potraying that he was born a beast. Each attack delivered by the hefty man was being defected.

The hefty guy suddenly came at him with a stupendous kick on the chest which had Blanr flying almost loosing balance if not for his sword the Night Tide.

Rain of more sword qi attacks came but Blake deflected it using his weapon which groaned with creaking sound as though on the verge of break down.

The hefty man's Azure blade was much more terrifying that his, and on either hand, his blade had much more tolerance than Blake's.

Blake side-stepped a heavy punch that was coming his way whilst using the Night Tide to stop himself from loosing balance because this man here was too fast.

He was too fast that one mistake from Blake was enough to end him completely. The man lifted the Azure blade ready to slash downwards but the Night tide deflected the movement of the blade only to groan defiantly to the stress of being countered but surprisingly, it held. But the hefty man did not end there, he immediately raised the Azure blade to stab and Blake rolled away from that spot, with the blade piercing the sand close to his stomach.

Blake shuddered still rolling away but the man followed him, his feet padding the soft sand and having it sink in like he was some giant.

The muscles of his feet was something no one could withstand. Rumors had it that once this hefty man steps on you, then be ready to see either heaven or hell,

as it is said: "death comes knocking for those who seek," but right now Blake didn't seek it.

"I am the Battling HeirLock, who are you to stay alive for so long?"

Blake heard him hiss, his feet stomping on the sand the suppressing aura descending and almost causing Blake to yield.

Blake immediately retreated while dismissing his blade. Who knows if the Night Tide would have lasted. The assault from the hefty guy should be enough to destroy the blade.

Blake augmented his feet and boosted off land into the air.

Immediately, thin long metal thread weaved itself into reality and landed on Blake's palm.

He had one more scheme up his sleeves.

This time, it is not about being powerful. Blake was about putting his mental quotient to a good use.

With all of the strength this Battling Heirlock has, Blake was indeed ready to end him. Be the first to make history of the first human ever able to take out a gargatuan Heirlock.

When the hefty man neared Blake, ready to smash him with his feet, Blake let himself descend from his height, and dodging that calamity, he boosted upwards again, with another intention.

He was off the sandy floor.

And then, knidding the iron thin thread, he whipped it around the man's neck which at one slash dislodged his head from his body making Blake to fall flat on the floor in victory.

Blake was covered in black blood, the liquid coppery scent waft his nostril strongly but he couldn't care any less.

He watched as the hefty man staggered, falling on his knees and then flat on the floor while convulsing to the last moments of life, making Blake sigh...

The thin copper thread was dismissed and this time it was the Night Tide that was summoned to his view.

Staring at the already dead Heirlock, with a grim expression contorted on his face Blake wished he could repay this man triple the dose of pain he had inflicted on him, but too bad, Blake already killed him.

Blake sliced the man's chest open and more black blood seeped out and after that, a thick black mist escped the man's body.

The next thing Blake realised was that the black blood seeping out continuosly was accompanied with a scench so unbearable that defied humans comprehension, it's materiality staining even the air.

Picking himself up, he started walking out of the battlefield where by many body lay scattered on the land.

The massacre from earlier has been so severe that many had fallen at the mighty onslaught and they had taken the war to heart by rendering so many humans lifeless.

Blake had to pity one of his kind for being in this fatal state.

The Heirlocks had invented the battle arc where by they go around killing and massacring mundane humans while enslaving the rest, bringing their land to an unmistakable doom.

The Heirlocks were dwelling in the northern confines of Ruithe Ville and the people living in the land is always scard of being killed or taken as slave.

What would the Heirlocks do now to discover that one of their kind had been killed by an ordinary human who only has been undergoing training from his master Jotham Creed there in Blackshire Town.

Blake made sure to take all of the adornment off the Heirlock before leaving, like the Azure blade and his coat. He had some ring and diamonds on which Blake had taken before leaving that place too.

These heirlocks were the strangest being to be wary off. They had the look of humans but are monsters from within. They are known as the infamous Corpse eater.

And with their mood always in tolerance to battle, killing and destruction.. their precarious theme, the heirlocks had become one of the dangerous creatures on the planet.

Just what kind of human would bring out black blood, when the color of human blood is red.

Blake Listerio is from a poor background.

Back when he was in Liberia with his parents, he had merely been a child with a vision, who wished to be like any other children... he was ambitious, a dreamer. But, after his parents died who later died, those dreams and ambitions died like a lifeless vessel.

Jotham came to his life.

He had trained Blake for over 4 years now which Blake still isn't yet to master the Legendary of a Battle Master. He had been learning quite well, and Jotham had thought him all he needed to know about attacks and how to counter them, land a devastating blow, and all of these fighting techniques where by a skilled fighter would have to take note but actually, Blake still had a lot to learn because last time...

he heard Jotham say that he isn't really ready to become the battle master.

And since then after the war broke out between the heirlocks and the humans, the town of Blackshire had never been the same.

They had also taken Jotham as their prisoner and Blake need to find him.

Blake moved wryly on some weathered pathway filled with rocks and all of the debris littered around, then the pathway ascended slowly as if he was climbing up a tall mountain.

He needed to get to Blackshire Town first so that he would seek help from some witches who dwell in Blackshire forest just inside the town.

The heirlock had attacked the town and it's forest too, but Blake was sure that most of the important people went into hiding, like Evie the witch lady and Tera all witches. If the heirlocks had taken them then, they sure would have been stripped off their powers and that was not what they wanted to face right now so Blake knew just where to go to, at least the heirlocks had bitten more they can chew.

And very soon the dreaded would begin to happen to their very eyes.
