The Fight

Fifteen minutes left and it was eight o'clock and Blair just finished drinking a blood sachet. She tossed it in a rubbish bin and headed to her bedroom.

Opening a huge wardrobe, she pulled out a navy hoodie and slid out her beige jumper off her body. Sliding the hoodie on her body, she tugged out a black mask and put it on. She tied her hair into a ponytail and tugged the hoodie veil up, covering her hair.

Blair took a glimpse at her wristwatch's pointer that was indicating at ten.

She unlocked her bedroom window as she stuck out her head, making sure there was no mundane strolling. She flung herself out and perched onto a rooftop with a soft thud, then moved into another roof. Each of her movement was expeditious, making a slumbering black cat woke up instantly.

Blair halted her movement when the old house that was located beside her school emblazoned in front of her.

The house was delightfully dingy and dark, with overgrown green grass ornamented the front yard. Moss perched on the rim of the stairs that led into the front door and the crown dentil mouldings. The windows were broken, shards of broken glass fell on the grass. This old house was perfect for those who wanted to do guts's test.

Blair landed herself on the ground and strutted in front of the door. Kicking it, the door collapsed on the wooden floor, a huge hollow was delineated at the second mullion of the door. She stepped in, her eyes swept the entire space. No one was here.

A thudding sound crept Blair's hearing sense as she turned into the direction. Blair jerked her head at the left side as a fist was flown briskly and directly into her face. A white mist covered the person and it slowly faded, exposing a girl around Blair's age with shoulder-length dark brown hair. Her ruby eyes gleamed in amazement as she licked her upper lip, exposing her fangs.

"Well, hello there." She spoke, her soft voice rang in something that was hard to describe.

'Half-blood', Blair thought to herself and wore a stoic expression. "What a great greeting, huh?" she said sarcastically. "Who are you?"

The girl smirked at Blair, tilting her head. "Serena," she mentioned.

In a second, Blair was surrounded by white mist but she remained silent and relax as if this often happened to her. The mist faded, exposing dozens of vampires with their glowing red eyes.

"Who sent you all?" Blair demanded again, but no one responded her.

The vampires that surrounded Blair approached themselves on her as one of them touched her arm. Blair grabbed his wrist as she flipped him, hitting the encircling half-blood vampires. They fell on the floor and clicked their tongues in annoyance as they rose up, flinging themselves to Blair with deafening screech escaped their mouths.

Blair tugged off her hoodie veil and mask, keeping it in her hoodie's pocket. Her auburn hair transformed into frosty white hair, her amber eyes turned glowing red, her neatly cut nails grew long and sharp like shark's teeth.

A female vampire locked Blair's arms and encircled her legs on Blair's, detaining her so she couldn't move. The others raised their claws and ready to drive them on Blair viciously.

Blair clenched her jaw as she flung the female vampire off forcefully. She yelled in agony when her limbs and calves were broken. Blood spurted over her and over the wooden floor she lay on. Blair pummeled directly into the female vampire's face as blood fountained over her, blotting her porcelain skin, snowy hair, and hoodie. The female half-blood's face was wrecked, the wooden floor beneath her cracked.

Her snowy hair was pulled suddenly, making Blair jerked her head backward. Three male vampires entered her eyesight, their expressions held indignant. Blair flicked her finger on one of them's chin as he was tossed backward, his back crashed on the wall making the house rattle.

She stood on her feet as she grabbed their necks. She squeezed her grasps as their heads broke. Blood sprinkled over them, tainting the pillars around them and the ceiling. Their heads and bodies tumbled on the bloody floor.

Blair's eyebrows furrowed as she eyed the other vampires that were standing a few feet away from her. "I ask you, who sent you all?" her stern voice echoed. "I bet you hear me, so answer my bloody question."

They remained silent and started their attacks again. Seemed like they didn't scare of death, Blair thought to herself as she swung her fist on the right vampire's chin and moved herself into the opposite side before she could receive a strike. The vampire glided up, his blood sprinkled and he broke through the old house's roof.

The house rattled again as Blair stunned at her act. She had done something fatal; punching a vampire until he flew up in the sky and breaking the roof. The vampire hunters would definitely dash to this house and slaughter them all, including Blair.

She had to finish these vampires as soon as possible before she was busted.

Serena leaned against a pillar a few feet away from Blair, grimacing at her. "Great performance, Blair," she complimented, clapping her hands and strolling towards Blair. "Purebloods always give me the best show."

Serena motioned the others to stop on their spots as she halted in front of Blair. She tilted her head and said, "What's with that expression? I don't like it," she slapped Blair's cheek, making her head move.

Blair dug her palms ferociously as veins protruded on her hands. She brought her gaze back at Serena, her expression stoic like usual.

"You're asking who sent us here? Well, no spoiler," she chuckled, grasping Blair's frosty hair. "You have beautiful hair," she whispered with a raspy voice. "You grew up well, huh." Her grasp tightened, bringing her face near Blair's.

Without a word, Blair smacked Serena's face hard that she was hurled, crashing on the wall as another rattle resonated. A massive mist coated half of the space as silhouettes of the vampires appeared through it.

'More vampires', she thought to herself as they began their strike through the mist.

Blair flipped herself backward. Jumping a bit, she kicked their faces as they were tossed, followed with painful yelps escaped their mouths. Blair sense someone was behind her as she swung her right arm backward, hitting a male vampire. She was desperate to use her another power but knowing she was in an old house, she abandoned that desire reluctantly.

The house rattled. Dust and pieces of woods fell down.

"Shit," Blair swore, knowing this house was going to collapse soon. Maybe.

Wiping the blood on her face, she strode towards the front door. To her surprise, a tall figure stood at the doorway as if the figure was preventing her to flee.

The moonlight cast its luminosity on the figure. His frosty hair aviated in the air as the breeze blew. His ruby eyes glistened in an indescribable way. He was wearing an expensive-looking suit, some buttons on his suits were unbuttoned, revealing his robust chest a little bit. His hands shoved inside his suit's pocket.

Blair's eyes widened as she froze on her spot. The figure was familiar, where had she seen him? Around her house? At the street? At school?

"You don't recognise me, Mrs. Thompson? Is that because I turn hotter in my vampire form?" the man let out a dreamy chuckle.

Blair felt a lurch in her stomach as her glare intensified.

Azrael McCabe. 'He is also a pureblood', Blair thought to herself.
