I learned two things while being here in the wild...
1. The creatures here are utterly bizarre... I swore, I saw a monkey that had four arms... Yeah, I wasn't going to consume that. Though, I kept taking my time to walk around the forest, still maintaining my distance of the village...
And, 2. Not having a clue as to how chakra actually works. I remembered in the show, that chakra was the combination of spiritual and physical energy in the body, or something to that effect, I wasn't sure...
'I need to practice a bit...'
A whole day had passed already of me not doing anything, and that was a little taxing on my mind. Plus, I haven't even encountered any creatures as of late to absorb, even with the bear's memories of where prey was.
'At least this explains why the bear was so starved. Still, there has to be something out here. For such a huge forest. it was unbelieva-
'-Ble...'
I quickly ducked down in caution, spotting what looked like a corpse in the distance, given the smell I was getting off it, that was likely the case...
Not only that, there are craters, everywhere... With my vision being much more than of a human's own, I could easily make out what the person was wearing.
'White mask, grey jacket, black underclothing...' Their clothes reminds me of something familiar. I just couldn't place my finger on it, but I'll let that thought slide for now. I took another quick look around the area a bit more...
'Still, did a small war start here?' It looks chaotic to say the least. Seeing this in person and in the show, I realized the show didn't do it much justice...

'I've been waiting here a while now... Seems like no one, or anything, will come get him...' I murmured to myself a bit before I moved ahead. I kept to the trees, since it was were, I was at my quietest...
Jumping from tree top to tree top, I took my time to scout the area a bit more. But, nothing was in sight... I dropped to the ground-
*Thud-*
Being this close, I realized that this person had likely been dead for a little while now... 'A day or two at most...' His skin looked relatively fresh for a corpse. Examining him a little bit further, I saw some metallic luster shine from his clothes and behind him...
'Some kunai's and a sword? Not that bad...' Still, whoever this is, he had it bad, I can see multiple stab wounds. Likely done by another sword user. And burn marks on his skin too...
A ninja, that was what came to my mind...
Knowing what I likely had to do. I hadn't absorbed a human before. And the memories might be overwhelming...
'I need to stop wasting time, and do my due diligence...' Knowing that I wouldn't get a chance like this again, I quickly separated the sword and kunai's and anything that looked useful on his body, then started the consumption process...
Soon after, I felt that ever so familiar warm feeling throughout my muscles, nerves and bones again...
"Shit!" That burning sensation, it came back again... It felt like my insides were pulsating crazily... My brain, it felt as if needles were piercing it...
My mind felt more free, yet the memories...
"EARRRGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

'Wh-What?' I opened my eyes, realizing I was still in the forest... But knowing the pain, I just shook my head in both pain, and annoyance.
"Urghh..." The memories flashed in my mind, again...
I truly hate the effects of this ability... I'm still not used to it yet, but it's effects are too good to deny...
'...At least I know why this person seemed so, familiar. He was a former anbu black-ops member, Hideki Konari, 22 years of age. A proficient sword, and seal user, he was also a decent taijutsu, and ninjutsu user, but excelled in the first two more...'
I remembered everything in his life, the people who he loved and eventually felt nothing for... The people he-no I killed, because of that man... I could see it all like it had happened yesterday.
I could feel my mind, bubbling with anger... 'Danzo Shimura...' His name alone had irritated me to a degree I didn't think possible... 'I vaguely knew of his acts in the series, but but experiencing it first hand as Hideki...' He's far worse.
I walked and sat next to the closest tree, allowing myself a moment to cool off. This flood of memories was overwhelming, each recollection felt like a vivid brushstroke painting a picture of a man consumed by his own ambitions.
As Hideki, essentially I bore witness to the darker shades of Danzo's character...

'This... This should be enough time...' I rubbed my temples slightly, brushing off and putting the memories I have now in a hole...
'I need to focus on the positives...'
As of now, I was essentially a mid-level chuunin given my new understanding of the ranking system... He-Hideki was practically ordinary, other than his seals knowledge, he was average in his level...
I clenched my firsts for a moment, feeling my strength had increased a little bit more compared to yesterday...
I stood up of the ground again, I felt my movements a bit off like my first time, but after walking around for a few moments. I adjusted back quickly, getting a bit used to the changes...
Next, is the burning sensation within me... My chakra... It felt massive compared to what it was before. Not only that, I knew how to acquire chakra and theories that revolve around it as well...

My stats actually looked much better than before... My knowledge had accordingly increased, as well as my overall skills from absorbing that corpse.
in fact, it was essentially a god sent gift at this point.
I even saw the massive increase in my chakra reserves too, which was satisfying... I looked at my new status for a bit, realizing that I had gain a new stat as well...
'Chakra affinity? And I had all five basic natures too...' I know as Hideki, my affinities were water and fire... Now, I have the rest?
'Aren't I, an omni-affinity ninja?...' I had my theories as to why this is the case, which is mostly likely due to my consumption of different things over my time here, and my old universe.
And, it makes sense that would be the case in a situation like this, since my body is the evolution theory walking, but essentially better...
I took a little look at my new abilities, which were, interesting...
'I have Justus now, not that it surprises me much... I'll just test them out some other time though. They can wait a little...
I looked to my left side, seeing all the necessities that I took off his body prior to the consumption. I scoffed a bit.
'The sword and kunai's are in surprisingly decent condition. And. I have a ton of chakra paper left over as well, not bad to be honest.'
Whoever this... I, was... Was killed in action, with other my/other teammates. Which means their bodies might still be around here. Luckily, we had no attachment to one another, which was typical of anbu members, so I wouldn't have to feel bad about doing what I need to.
I picked up the sword, placing it around the side of my body, with the sealing tags in the storage scrolls I had found on his body. That still feels off, coming from my own head, but it was, what it was...
'At least I had a rough evaluation of myself.'
1. According to my memories. I had knowledge of where I stood in power. at least stats wise; In just raw strength, I was, crazily enough, just about johnin level, in both types of speeds, I was mid-chuunin level, and in terms of my chakra, it was the same rank as my speed, if not a little less...
2. Now, I had basic knowledge of which timeline I was in. Which was the original Naruto timeline, according to my memories at least... Naruto should be around 13 years old at this point.
This wasn't bad. In fact, it was good news to a certain extent. I had enough knowledge to lay in the hidden leaf village as I was now, and I knew how to enter without much suspicion. But, I wouldn't be doing that. Not yet.
I also learned that I was the weakest in my team, which was disappointing, but such is life. Still, I won't be complaining much.
I'll be heading for the rest of those bodies first, since it's a better increase in my stats and CP levels. If I remember correctly, my teammates had scattered around here somewhere, I just have to pray they haven't been eaten yet, since they have skills or other talents that could be of use to me...
'Now... Who should I go after first...?'
I quickly formed the hand signs necessary... Body flickering to my next objective...
