5 Ava goes on a blind date

Ava wanted to immediately say no but then, she had a rethink. She didn't want to go into another relationship after she got heartbroken. On another thought, she wanted to agree to go on a date with this Jason guy. She thought that with that, she can drive off the thoughts of Maxwell out of her head and start to think less of him.

Her mind was made up now. She looked at her sister and saw how anxious she looks. She sighed and parted her lips a bit, allowing air to escape.

"Okay." Ava gave her reply because she had a reason for it.

"Wow really? I'll chat him up then. I'm sure he will be very happy to hear this. And to think of it, he is stinkingly rich so that won't be a problem because he can take good care of you. Babe, I'm so happy for you…" Julie gurgled excitedly.

"Calm down your horses sis…you said he likes me and not love so stop over hyping." Ava replied without any interest.

"Who will look at you once and not fall in love with you? All we need to do is to make you look super beautiful and tada!" Julie chuckled.

"Okay. But he shouldn't break my heart otherwise…" Ava started and left the statement unfinished as she already knew her sister understands what she wanted to say.

"He won't even do such a thing. Just chill and all you need to do is give him a chance. I promise things will go well between you two." Julie persuaded Ava as she got up and left for her room. Julie took out her phone to chat up Jason as she beamed with smiles all over.

"Ava! Ava!" Julie screamed her name excitedly.

"What is it again? I just left here a couple of seconds…what's wrong?" Ava asked her sister with a tired look.

"Look, he just replied. He said you both should go on a date this weekend. He will text me the address and time! Babe what did I say? Hahahahaha….this is so great! This guy is really amazing and I strongly want you both to be together and even get married too." Julie cheered happily as Ava let out a dry smile.

"Yeah right? Why didn't you date him instead of Mark?" Ava asked her sister as she folded her hands under her chest.

"I met him late that's why. I was already dating Mark before I met with Jason otherwise I'd have dated him." Julie boasted.

"Let me put breakfast together. I'll be going to visit mum soon." Ava informed Julie as she headed for the kitchen which was a door away from the living room.

"How did it go with that debtor? Were you able to pay him back?" Julie asked Ava as she began to pick her nails.

"Yes I did." Ava replied. Thoughts of Sebastian irritated her.

"He didn't complain right? I hope he won't be disturbing us again!" Julie asked back.

"Yes sure." Ava replied.

"Do you want eggs added to your breakfast?" She added to change the topic. She didn't want to think of Maxwell as well but as Julie brought up the topic, she began to see flashes of him.

"Not again!" She muttered to herself as she shook her head as though thoughts of him would go away by doing so.

"Yes. I'll pull off my clothes and meet you right there." Julie replied as she got up and carried her bag to the room. She shared a room with her sister.

They couldn't afford a bigger house and only got a two bedroom apartment. Their mum was hospitalized and Julie began to sleep in her room ever since then. She enjoyed her privacy as she made video calls with her boyfriend, Mark.

Ava complained of what she did in front of her. Often times, she exposed her body on video call to Mark and they spoke on disgusting sexual stuffs which Ava didn't want to hear on any so she was glad to see her sister packing to their mum's room for the mean time.

It's weekend. Ava is getting dressed to go on a blind date with a man that she had never seen before. Julie had shown her his pictures and he didn't look bad. She dressed up and was ready to leave when Julie saw her.

"No…no no…don't tell me that you are going out…dressed like that!" Julie said to her as she scrutinized her dressing.

"And what if I say yes? What's wrong with my dressing?" Ava asked her sister.

Julie looked at her from head to toe. Ava packed her hair in a casual way without any form of style. She wore a maroon fitted long gown with a wedge heel. Without another word, Julie turned her away as they fought their way back to the bedroom.

"This is not how to dress for a blind date! You want to ruin everything? How will he fall in love with you dressed like this?" Julie asked her unbelievable sister that question as she sat her down before the make up mirror.

"What's wrong with my dressing? Didn't you tell me that I am beautiful and anyone can fall in love with me?" Ava asked her sister.

"Of course I said that but this is a date and not some function! Babe level up will you?" Julie told her sister as she began to apply some make up on her face and styled her hair into a beautiful ribbon with curly edges.

Julie was one who loved fashion and was often teased to be a model. Modelling was what she had in heart to do but because of their financial situation, she couldn't pursue her dreams and instead, studied something different.

Ava on the other hand was a naive girl unlike her sister. Ava didn't fantasize fashion that much and her sister never cease to remind her that was another reason why Jasper, her ex boyfriend broke up with her.

She had promised Ava that when she finds love again, she would make sure she helps her maintain it and yes, she is indeed keeping to her promise by making sure she wins Jason's heart as she thought.
