51 Chapter 48...Minor gains

As if to answer to my feelings, the Prodigy finally came into effect, which provided me with a soothing feeling,

I picked up the gains from the giant monster I just defeated, at least I am improving every day, although I am still slow.

I wonder how strong I am compared to the magic knights, can they take on foes of these kinds, I believe they can, these guys are not that strong, I thought as I sat down to heal from the various wounds on my body.

I sat down as the place won't be spawning any monsters for a while anyway, I took out another potion and I gobbled it down.

'I will be meeting insufferable monsters on the next floors I guess, I won't let my guard down like the last time, I hope no one tries to trap me again.'

After an hour of rest, and massaging my poor muscles which were hurting like hell from overuse, I made my way down the hall and walked for a while before the scenery started to change.

The whole place was filled with water with patches of land here and there, the number of adventurers was little.

As soon as I went close to the surface of the water, a giant fish with sharp teeth attacked me, A raider fish, I delivered a slash and to my surprise, the fish didn't die in one hit and ran away.

This place was teeming with monsters of various sizes.

I took out a book while I made sure to keep my senses on alert for any enemies, the shields were also up in case someone tried to be smart, and I could sense a few humans in the midst.

'So this and the floor next to it has a wide variety of monsters, Mermaids, Mermans, Sirens, Blue Crabs, Turtles that are so large they look like patches of land, What's a light quarts? An extremely fast Flying swallow that can kill you before you blink. And judging from the way that fish was able to survive, it means I have finally reached my destination, I will spend the last of my days here before I go back to the surface on the last five days.

I decided at that time as I jumped on the water...surprisingly I was able to walk on it, Not!

I can't say I have learned flight, but I will be damned if I can't even walk on water

'I can't disappoint all my ninja fans' I thought as I saw the raider fish coming back with tens of its friends.

It had the numerical advantage, its speed was faster than mine when I run on land, which was surprising for me.

I readied my sword and waited for the right moment to cut apart the incoming giant monstrous fishes.

'Now!'

I unleashed the blade and a torrent of energy was released, though this will tire me out faster as the monster are more resilient if not stronger then the previous ones.

It took me about a five minutes to deak with the fish and just as I was about to pick up the loot,a bunch of monsters that had the upper body of humans and the lower body of a fish ambushed me, not really since I knew they were coming, it only took them under 10 sec to cover the area of my evolved senses, which is really fast.

I immediately cast the Last stand as no doubt they will be stronger than a simple fish, I send out my attack covered with aura and it easily gets deflected by the merman.

'They have much stronger natural weapons.' I turned around just in time to deflect an attack, giving a roundhouse kick to the German in question who was sent flying backwards.

I was able to determine their strength from this small exchange, they are twice as fast as those of raider fishes, and their body is strong enough to withstand my aura attacks.

'I will just have to increase the output, or I can use haze and kill them stealthily.'

I decided to take a different approach and started playing around like a ninja with twin daggers by my side.

Haze was a pretty overpowered and convenient skill once I mastered using it while moving around.

It masks every physical and magical aspect of my presence so that my enemies are unable to see me move or know where I am going to attack from.

I can only use this technique for a limited time as I am still not proficient enough in it to use it endlessly.

The only way to avoid a Haze user is to have enough battle experience and instincts to help you defend yourself.
