When I saw how the bandit leader was moving in between the various enemies, I couldn't help but admire him, he was faster then I could ever be.

Despite being in the same rank as his enemies, he was able to kill two of them while battling three others.

I could barely see a sweat breaking out of that guy, which gave me an indication of how strong he truly was, his threat level was over 9000!

'Haha' I couldn't help but chuckle to myself as I thought about it, perhaps it was my coping mechanism kicking in.

I watched as the bandit leader was dealing with the three mages who were somehow able to keep him in check.

I also got to understand a bit about what kind of magic the leader had.

In better words, I saw him using two to three of his magic spells.

He has Wind magic, and he is very very powerful, a magic spell that allows him to create gales of wind that displace the enemies and his magic, Plus it gives him incredible speed.

Another spell that forms a barrage of wind blades that he can control with a wave if his hand and using as an AOE

Plus a spell that forms a shield of Wind around him.

'If only I had fire magic, I would have been able to beat him up'

u couldn't help but think.

The three mages fighting him had plant magic, Earth magic and Water magic.

After a few rounds, The guy with the plant magic got a deep cut on his back and fell in pain.Meanwhile I understood that I wont be escaping today, though that didn't give me the thoughts to go down and help them.

I scouted the area where Yoru was fighting with the Rank 7 mage, only to see the mage was nowhere, Yoru was bleeding on the ground, the others on our squad were already dead.

Although I showed that I wouldn't feel anything, but that didn't mean I was an emotional maniac, seeing Yoru bleeding on the ground I couldn't help but feel as if something was stuck in my throat.

'I am so going to regret this' I thought as I ran towards his location, My danger sense was telling me that there was no one in the area, the mage had likely retreated and was slaughtering the others.

I arrived at the scene and saw the bodies of Seni who I didn't have much contact with except for when we needed to do some raids.

I made my way towards the Yoru who was slowly bleeding out, a part of me wanted to deliver the final blow and kill him, for he was a bandit and had probably ruined many people's life

I gritted my teeth as I thought about my own tricky situation, and after a while, I decided that saving him was the best choice for me.

Because he was my only umbrella of protection in the bandit hideout. Although he was just a weak Rank 8, many Rank7 listened to his order, this bandit layer did not listen to power as much as it listened to ranks.

I quickly picked him up and flipped him over, his stomach has been cut,I looked at the burning carriage and took a piece of burning wood to cauterize his wounds.

It was an emergency measure but one that worked the best.

"Hang on! The bandit leader will be done in a while-" I was about to console him,but the bastard suddenly grabbed my hands with surprising amount of power.

"Gahh! give me the bag!" he said.

I was surprised for a moment but just sighed in the end. I took out his bag and gave it to him, he started searching for something as I looked at him, confused by his actions.

While he looked at the bag, searching for something with desperation, I was busy looking for any guards that might come and finish us off.

I had helped him enough, if a Rank 7 comes, I will flee at the first sight of danger, the bastard hadn't even thanked me.

'Shit..'

I stood up as several figures appeared in front of me, Three mages of Rank 8, I looked at them as they saw me as well, and at Yoru behind me.

"Ho! you are alive, I guess that's expected of a magic knight huh!" The guards said as he summoned his book

"Huh!"

I couldn't help but exclaim, what the heck was happening

"Ha! I guess you don't know, it's expected of idiot bandits like you" the guards laughed among themselves as I looked at them.

What did that mean, is Yoru a magic knight?.isn't he too weak to be one. i couldn't help but look back at him.

Yoru, the guy in question looked at me with an awkward expression as he held a weird contribution in his hands

"Although I know it's too much to ask, I need your help, it seems I have been double-crossed by the bandits as well as the nobles, I need some time to call for backup, you think you can hold these guys off for a while" the guy requested of me.

As things were, I am sure that the bandit leader will win and be the one standing at the end, but anything could change. i was a little hesitant but the next words from his mouth changed my mood

" I only need five minutes, and the captain will be on his way, he can easily deal with Cyrus, I just need you to hold on for a while" he pleaded.

I couldn't help but sigh

"Brat, how about this, get out of the way and we can spare you" I looked at them for a moment and then back at Yoru before I made my decision

"Sorry but I have already made my choice" I replied decisively as I took out my scythe

"Hmph! you will regret this, little bastard!" several pieces of Stoen arose and took the shape of spikes as they were hurled at me.

This wasn't going to be an easy battle and I knew it
