Glacier Divider

"So this is Kiten," Rowan said, as the Black Bulls arrived in the small town. As the group arrived, they were met by a giant tree towering over the town.

The tree towered above them, its many branches stretching up to the sky. Its bark was a deep, dark brown, and its leaves were a bright, deep green.

"I've never seen a tree like this before," Asta said, gazing up at the monstrous tree. "Do things like this grow around here?"

"Do you think there are fruits up there?" Charmy asked, her eyes wide with wonder.

"It must be the spell of Shiney brigade captain," Yami said, karate chopping both of them to silence them.

"I'll go check out what's going on the captain's must be up there," Yami said. "You're for helping the town's people, just don't help so much that you die."

"Captain, I don't know if you noticed, but there's something wrong with the captain of Golden Dawn." Rowan said.

"Oh, you noticed that too? " Yami said "Well anyway, I'll see it for myself." With that, Yami jumped into the air and disappeared into the tree.

"ATTENTION EVERYONE! EVACUATE THIS WAY PLEASE!" Asta shouted.

"-! Some one fighting over their head!" Finral exclaimed, pointing up towards the sky!

In the sky Yuno was fighting with a diamond Kingdom's Mage while Riding on a wind magic bird.

The diamond mage was trying to attack Yuno but he released a strong wind engulfing him in it. He then created a giant wind sword and stabbed him in the chest, sending him flying backwards and crashing into the ground.

Yuno landed gracefully on the ground a few meters away from Asta and Rowan. "I thought I saw a little shrimp over here. What exactly are you doing here?"

Rowan stepped forward and said, "I'm here to lend a helping claw!"

"You two look pretty worn out, I can barely look at you," Yuno smiled, "but it also means you've gotten stronger. I'm not going to let you two beat me!"

"Yuno is smiling?" Sylph exclaimed in surprise.

"Meal-Saving Prince~ ♡" Charmy shouted excitedly as she jumped up and down.

"You're the one who got so powerful, jerk!" Asta said, with a grin. "I'm not going to lose to you either!"

Rowen smiled and said, "It looks like we have a real fight on our hands! Of course I'm winning."

Yuno smiled again and Sylph growled, "Why are you so friendly with them, Yuno?"

"We used to live together," Yuno said.

"You... live... together...?" Sylph stammered, her eyes widening in surprise.

"We ate together, studied together," Yuno said.

"We also sleep on the same bed and have taken a bath together," Asta further added.

"Oh, how lewd!" Finral exclaimed, his eyes widening in shock.

Rowan quickly stepped back and said, "I'm not with them!"

Charmy shyly approached Yuno and offered him some snacks, "E-excuse m-me, we haven't seen each other for a while. I'd like to thank you for saving my food last time. Here have some mint after the fight!"

"Oh...! It's you... from the Black Bulls. I'm sorry for pushing you down so abruptly back then."

Sylph quickly interjected, "Hey kid! I bet you used some sneaky spell to seduce Yuno"

Charmy curiously said, "What's this creature? Are you yummy?"

Asta quickly stepped in and said, "Chamry! That's a spirit! Don't eat her!"

Charmy indignantly replied, "And who are you calling a kid? I'm nineteen! Yuno is younger than me and I'm quite sophisticated as well! My sexiness doesn't need magical enhancement!

"What the hell is sexy about a child who haven't matured in the proper places yet!" Sylph exclaimed indignantly.

"Who're you calling a child with that size and poor attitude!? I'll fry you, and make a nice delicious meal out of you!" Charmy yelled.

"Charmy, keep it down!" Asta shouted.

"Bell cut it out!" Yuno said firmly. "Sylph, Charmy, stop arguing.

"What is here? Oh! If it isn't my big brother" Langris came as he said to Finral.

Finral was caught offguard by his voice and as he turned around he was in front of his brother, Langris.

"Langris..."

"The shame of our family who can barely fight, what business do you have in battlefield?" Langris asked, looking at Finral.

"Who's that dude?" Asta asked, looking at Langris.

"He look like a bully, I can straighten him out for you" Rowan said, cracking his knuckles and stepping forward.

Finral stopped him and said,"It's all right he's my little brother, the Vice Captain of Golden Dawn."

"Are you still the Black Bull's pack mule, Finral? It looks like I'm going to have to be the next head of the Vaude Family, you know. All because you're such a loser." Langris said with a smug smirk.

"DON'T GIVE ME THAT CRAP! FINRAL IS AWESOME! AND HEY, IS THAT ANY WAY TO TALK TO YOUR BIG BROTHER , YOU JERK!?" Asta yelled, stepping forward and squaring up to Langris.

Finral sighed and said, "It's ok Asta! It's all true anyway."

Rowan stepped in and said, "You're going to take his crap? Are you that cowardly Finral?"

Finral looked at him with complicated emotions swirling in his eyes - a mix of anger, sadness, and resignation.

Langris said with a condescending tone, "We've cleaned up most of the enemy... Or rather, the Captain dealt with all of them. The Black Bulls aren't needed here. And besides... When did the Black Bulls... Become a day center for children?"

"My patience is waning," Rowan said, his fists clenched as he faced off against Langris. "Finral, you don't have to put up with this."

"Looking after two kids must be pretty rough. Aren't you embarrassed to have to babysit those rug rats?" Langris said with a smirk, looking at Asta and Rowan.

"Who's a rug rat!?" Asta yelled, pointing to his eyebrows. "Look at these manly faces!"

"I'll teach you the charm of adult women!" Charmy said.

"Langris, you can insult me all you want, but do not insult the members of Black Bulls!" Finral said sternly.

"Oho... so even someone like you can get mad about something," Langris said with a smirk, still looking down on Finral.

Suddenly, a mucus went straight to Langris, but he quickly destroyed it with his Spatial Magic before it could reach him.

"Boy by the honor of eight Shining Generals, I swear I'll take your head back with me!" The attacker or Diamond Kingdom's Mage yelled, his eyes filled with rage.

"Wow, you're still alive?" Langris said his expression didn't change.

The Diamond Kingdom's mage surrounded himself with some of the townspeople with mucus and said, "You can't do anything to me, can you? I have innocent people as my shield."

"There's no helping it. They'll be noble sacrifices for the sake of their country," Langris said with a sigh, his expression still unchanged.

"Shut the fuck up!" Rowan yelled, his face contorting in rage. "How dare you treat these people like disposable pawns in your game? Do you think you can just come here and do whatever you want?!"

"Those are our people!" Asta shouted, pointing an accusing finger at Langris. "Why are you abandoning them!? We're Magic Knights! We're supposed to protect the people! That's why we're here!"

"Finral! Charmy!"

"Ready!"

"Me too!"

The Black Bulls all stepped forward, ready to fight the Shining General. Finral, Charmy, and Rowan had their grimoires open and ready.

"Let me try something but it can't be done by the Moonblade!" Rowan said, his grimoire glowing brightly as he summoned his own magic.

He created an ice katana, similar to Yami's, and closed his eyes.

"[Cotton Creation Magic: Fluffy Sheep Cushion]"

Asta leapt forward, launching himself onto the sheep and using its cushioning to propel himself towards the enemy.

Finral quickly opened a portal for Asta, giving him the perfect angle to launch his sword and dissipate the opponent's spell. Asta wielded his sword with his mouth, due to his injuries, and with a powerful swing, he was able to leave the enemy open to an attack.

Rowan focused his mana into the katana. He felt a surge of energy course through his body as the blade of the katana glowed with a deep blue radiance.

As the pages of Rowan's grimoire opened, a new spell emerged.

He opened his eyes and thrust the katana forward. As he did, a powerful wave of ice shot out of the sword and split the air in two.

"[Ice Magic: Glacier divider]" Rowan shouted as the wave of ice quickly dissipated, leaving behind a deep rift in the air, like a crack in a frozen lake.

The wave of ice hit the diamond Kingdom's mage with tremendous force, freezing the ground and creating a deep rift in the air.

The Shining General had been frozen solid, encased in a thick layer of ice, unable to move or even breathe. Everyone watched in awe as the enemy had been turned into a statue of ice.

Rowan's Ice katana can't handle the power and eventually shatters. "I can't use the spell's in full power like Captain Yami with this kind of weapon," Rowan said, shaking his head.

"You two haven't changed a bit," Yuno said with a hint of admiration in his voice. "And it looks like I will have to work even harder from now on."

Finral stepped forward to face Langris, "Langris you're right, I can't beat you. But we the Black Bulls will definitely beat... You the Golden Dawn!"

With Yami:-

"Think you could take your mask off for me?" Facing Captain Vengeance Yami said.

"It... isn't the sort of face people want to see," Captain Vengeance replied.

Yami laughed and said, "Come on, it can't be that bad. Unless you're super ugly or something. It's fine, it's fine, I swear I won't laugh, Wah ha ha!"

"I know what this is, Yami... You suspect I may be the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, don't you?" Captain Vangeance asked.

"Well, frankly, yeah. It's been what, what, ten years since I met you? We met on the battlefield." Yami said. "After that, every so often, we fought on other battlefields together. Nozel's braid shook like crazy when that happened. Then we became Captains at the same time... We're not all that close, but... We've known each other for quite a while, right? So... Your face. Lemme see it, all right?"

"Fine..."

He reluctantly took off his mask, revealing his identity to Yami, who was shocked. "That's one hell of a scar, did you get it in battle?" Yami asked.

"No. I was born with it. They called me a cursed child," Captain Vangeance replied. "Even magic couldn't fix this scar, you see. The people around me thought it was creepy, and they were afraid of me. I was the illegitimate child of a certain Noble. Until I turned eight, I lived in the Forsaken Realm."

Captain Vangeance paused for a moment before continuing, "However... After the Noble lost his heir, I was accepted as an aristocrat. Fortunately, I had a great deal of power, and my World Tree Magic became a curiosity, but even there, they hated my face. Furthermore, the Noble's lawful widow, who was my foster mother, mistreated me badly. I had a hellish childhood."

"You've... really had it rough too, huh?"

"But in the midst of all that, I met Julius. He didn't care about my appearance. All he saw was my power. I was happy. I wanted to pledge my grimoire to his service."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad."

He smiled sadly and said, "No... I'm glad I was able to tell and show you as things really are. Thank you, Yami." Captain Vengeance then put his mask back. Yami light up a cigarette and took a puff, exhaling slowly as he processed all that he had heard. "I see..."

With Rowan:-

"Well, the fighting has settled down. Should we meet up with Captain Yami now?" Finral asked.

Rowan nodded and said his goodbye to Yuno, "Yeah, let's do that. See ya later, Yuno."

"Later Yuno." Asta said as he waved goodbye.

"See you, Asta and Rowan," Yuno said with a smile. "And make sure you don't eat anything off the ground, Asta!"

Asta crossed his arms that were already crossed with bandages and said with a scoff, "Like I'd do that!"

Rowan chuckled and said, "You actually do that a lot Asta."

"Uh... Um... C-Could you maybe tell me your address?" Charmy nervously asked, her cheeks turning slightly pink.

Sylph flew in between Charmy and Asta, glaring at them. "Arrrgh! Stay away from Yuno you thieving raccoon!" she shouted.

A spark of pixie dust got into her eyes, making them water.

Charmy rubbed her eyes frantically, trying to get rid of the stinging sensation. "Laaa! Scales! Your scales got into my eyes!" she exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger at Sylph.

Finral created a portal and grabbed Charmy by back of her robe, quickly pulling her into the portal as she shouted, "I'll fry you next time."

In the blink of an eye, the Black Bulls vanished from the area, leaving a dust cloud in their wake.
