Author's POV

"I feel nothing," he said, looking at the night sky.

Even though it was strange for Nagumo Hajime to feel nothing after taking a life, he could only shrug his shoulders and take the road to the orphanage.

"Anyway, it would be stupid to feel compassion for a being like him. The weak only exist to be under the strong and to please them after all," he concluded without finding his line of thinking strange or dangerous.

Before leaving the place, he summoned the "two divine dogs" to devour the drunkard's body and thus avoid any future inconvenience.

"Sukuna, you're back," Father Orsi said relieved.

"You're not hurt?" he said, examining him quickly.

"Don't worry about me, but why this interest in my health?" he asked, scanning the room with his Ki to see if Asta and Yuno were close.

"Asta and Yuno came back during your absence and they were injured so I was scared," Father Orsi replied calmly.

"It seems that those two idiots didn't say anything about the incident and that's better that way," Sukuna thought as he left to sleep.

Currently, he is trying to keep his Ki active while sleeping but unfortunately he has had no real progress in that aspect of his training.

A few months later...

There was a shadow moving at an incredibly fast speed in the forest, jumping from tree to tree.

"Surprisingly, there are almost no bandits on the outskirts of the Clover Kingdom," he thought, holding a bag full of loot "confiscated" from the brigands.

This is a new routine that Sukuna started doing since he committed his first murder. He scours the forest located on the outskirts of the Clover Kingdom and eliminates bandits.

"I understood better how magic works in this world and I must say that individuals with enormous mana are rare," he concluded disappointedly.

The goal of fighting the bandits was not only to gain experience against the sorcerers of this world or funds for his future trip but it was also to obtain potential qualified subordinates.

"I understand better why the magic knights rarely take qualified individuals from the commoners. I should maybe look for qualified people directly?", Sukuna thought as he reached a cave that seemed to be occupied, possibly by humans given the wheel marks on the ground.

"My Ki sense tells me there are humans inside," he mentally said as he approached.

He was unafraid of facing a current enemy in the Clover Kingdom since currently, the only real danger to him within the Clover Kingdom are the captains and the Wizard King and the chances of running into them are slim.

"Treat the merchandise properly!", yelled a man looking like a pig given the huge belly he was proudly sporting.

Around them, there were many people moving carts and given their outfits, they certainly weren't "orthodox" merchants.

"There are humans in these carts, I can "feel" them. These people are surely slave traders," the moment Sukuna realized this, he felt outraged not by altruism or kindness but for another reason.

"Who gave you permission to reduce my future slave resources?", he said, walking towards them without hiding his presence.

When the slave traders heard Sukuna, they all turned their gaze towards his location to be surprised seeing a boy who seems to be blind at the entrance of their cave.

"There's a kid who managed to get out of his cage, Kevin go catch him!", ordered the overweight man who seems to be the leader.

"Yes boss, I...", the man couldn't finish his words as he got beheaded directly by Sukuna.

"What was I saying again? Ah yes! With what authorization are you doing slavery here?", he said to the remaining group.

"Kid, you don't know who you're messing with. I am...", before the fat man could continue his speech, Sukuna raised his hand, releasing his bloodlust towards him.

"You know what? Forget it, you're all going to die here," he said, waving his hand to shred them with "Cleave".

"Frankly, the sorcerers of this world are too used to rely on their grimoires to fight, it's really stupid," he said, shaking his head.

It's one of the strategies Sukuna currently uses to deal with sorcerers: he beheads them just before their grimoire opens.

"Unfortunately, this kind of trick won't work on people too fast like Patolli," he thought, walking towards cages covered in drapes.

And as expected by Sukuna, there were slaves, women and even children.

"None of them give me the same feeling as Yuno," he mentally said, using his Ki sense towards them but he still sensed someone slightly interesting.

"Get out, you're free but you stay," he declared in an authoritarian tone which seems extremely strange to the prisoners because of his young age.

"Thank you," they all said but slightly lost because of their freedom obtained in such a sudden way.

"You're waiting for me? I order you to get out of here unless you want to be freed from your bodies too," he said in a threatening voice.

After listening to Sukuna, they all left the cave except for a little blond boy.

"From now on you'll live only for me. It changes nothing for your destiny anyway," Sukuna informed him, shrugging his shoulders as if nonchalantly telling a kid he'll be a slave is normal.

"I want to die," the kid answered with an empty stare.

"I see, I'm dealing with a depressive here," he thought, bringing his face close to him before removing his blindfold from his eyes.

"Look at me, I have no mana, no magical attributes, I have 4 eyes and no parents," Sukuna started his attempt at brainwashing.

"But I gave up nothing despite discrimination and obstacles. So tell me," he said more loudly, holding his blond hair.

"Should I die too? Of course not, since I have a purpose and I'm giving you one for free now so you'll serve me?", Sukuna asked in a neutral tone of voice.

He had already decided to kill the kid if his "shonen speech" didn't work but seeing the eyes of the child come back to life, he wouldn't need to go that far.

"If I give my life in your service, will you help me get revenge on Clover?", the child asked with some expectation in his voice.

"There are no negotiations here kid, but I guarantee you purpose in life," Sukuna replied.

After a few seconds of thinking, the child ended up nodding his head towards Sukuna.

"My life is yours. My name is George," he said, standing up since Sukuna released his hair.

"I'm Sukuna, precisely Ryomen Sukuna, and currently the man you'll serve and follow," Sukuna declared while leaving the cave with the child named George.

.

.

.

"So if I understand correctly, you found George unconscious in the forest and unfortunately he has amnesia and that's why you brought him here," Father Orsi asked suspiciously.

"That's exactly right," Sukuna replied with George behind him, vigorously nodding his head to support his words.

"Okay, he can stay," he said, sighing heavily.

"I feel we'll have trouble with meals," Father Orsi thought, mentally deciding to reduce Asta's consumption.
