Overwhelming Might

Once Mordred's face was protected by her helmet she leaned forward ready for anything. The White Haired mage had a lot of mana, but did he know how to use it? She would have to find out. Once the mage spoke his threat, he raised his hand to the sky which formed a massive sword formed from diamonds in the sky. Mordred craned her head to look up at the magic with a slight tilt of her head.

She broke the tension as that answered her question.

"Want to know something interesting?"

The mage titled his head as well. Curious about what she had to say.

"What?"

Mordred simply smiled which he could not see.

"You have a lot of magic, but it does not measure up to a Magic Knight Captain. Not even close. You have the amount, but not the experience they have"

That seemed to have set off a nerve as the mage was enraged.

"I will kill you."

"No, you won't. You don't measure up to any of them. Especially not to Yami so-"

The idea that he could not measure up to a single Magic Knight Captain was unacceptable. He raised his hand and began to move his massive sword. He would kill her to get rid of the anger in his heart. As for Mordred she just scoffed. Her right foot stepped forward, cracking the ground while she aimed her new sword at him.

Red lightning began to crackle and surge in both Clarent and the Demon Dweller Sword churned and surged with her overwhelming mana.

"I am saying that-"

Before she finished her line she used a quick Mana Burst to appear right in front of the mage. She slashed in a cross shape, his chest open with a cross slash. Blood burst from the massive wound like a torrent.

She swung her swords down to get the blood off as she looked at the mage leaking blood like crazy from the giant wound in his chest.

"You are weak."

She kicked him down making him fall on his back. Blood continued to leak from his wound and his mouth as the life drained from him. Behind her, Klause, Mimosa and Charmy were shocked. Charmy managed to see her move, but even then she was fast.

Klaus barely saw her move which left him speechless.

'I didn't even see it coming. She said she was as strong as a Magic Knight Captain, but how is that possible? She is so young.'

Mimosa covered her mouth in shock at how quickly she dispatched a Shinning General. Mordred walked back not interested in what happened to him.

"We are done here. Let us leave."

Mimosa ran past her and kneeled at the mage's side offering him aid.

"I can't just let him die."

Mordred's helmet retreated as she looked down at Mimosa. Her face was neutral so she gave her some advice.

"He is an enemy mage and I made sure to kill him. His heart is in fourths. There is no coming back from that."

Mimosa's grimoire flipped open as she activated her healing spell.

"Plant Magic: Price Healing Flower Robe. I still have to try. I won't let a life I can save be snuffed out."

Mordred shrugged.

"Do as you want, but I am telling you he is as good as dead. Plus, it's just not worth it. You are undoing my work. Whatever happens, is on you."

Mordred walked back and got Atlas from Charmy's hands. The little Behemoth was snoozing from the giant amount of mana he had consumed that day. Mordred smiled a bit as she began to walk away.

"Charmy, you coming."

Charmy snapped out of it and ran next to Mordred.

"Right. Let's go."

Klaus pushed up his glasses as he walked next to Mimosa who was busy trying to save the life of the Diamond Mage. In his mind, he agreed with Mordred. They should let him die.

"Mimosa, you can stop. He is as good as dead."

Mimosa paused as she looked up at her senior.

"But, I can save him."

"Should you is the right question. She is right, he is an enemy mage. Not just that, but a Shinning General. Getting such a piece away from the Diamond Kingdom is worth it. She did the Clover Kingdom a service."

Mimosa closed her eyes as she stopped healing.

"Yes sir."

She stood up as Klaus made his steel chariot.

"Let's follow them. She still has the treasure after all."

Mimosa hopped on as Klaus flew off to follow Charmy and Mordred. While they were coming up, Yuno, Asta and Noelle defeated and captured the rest of the Diamond Mages. Yuno was the perfect counter to Lotus while the rest of his team was made up of canon fodder mages.

He and the rest of the mages were bound by Yuno's wind magic. Lotus sighed as he looked up at Yuno.

"This was not a fun day. Not fun at all."

Asta laughed a bit at the smoke mage.

"Remember who defeated you. Asta from Hage Village."

Lotus laughed a little.

"Oh, then what is your name? If the tall guy is named Asta then you must have a cool name too. It must be nice to have your own cheerleader Asta. Where can I get one too?"

Tick marks appeared on Asta's face.

"I'M ASTA AND I'M NOT A CHEERLEADER!"

Lotus tilted his head.

"But the tall one defeated me. You did nothing."

Noelle covered her face as she barely stifled a laugh.

"He is not wrong."

Yuno just smirked at Asta.

"Guess I will be getting another star when I get back."

Asta began another argument with Yuno while Lotus planned to escape.

'I got to stall for Mars to get back. Once he gets here things will be right again.'

Just then, Mordred, Charmy, Klause, and Mimosa returned from the treasure chamber. Seeing them confused Lotus.

'Where is Mars? They could not have defeated him right?

Asta waved at his two returning squad members.

"Charmy, Mordred, did you get the treasure? Tell me you did. Captain Yami will kill me if you don't."

Mordred jumped off Clarent which floated to her back with Arondight, and Galatine. Her Demon Dweller Sword and Excalibur went to her hips.

"We got it. We also ran into a Shinning General guy, but I killed him."

Lotus looked shocked as he looked at Mordred.

'This little girl killed Mars? No. Impossible. He can't die this easy.'

He clenched his hands in anger as he glared at Mordred. When she sensed his glare, she glared right back. Lotus was alive this long as he knew who to avoid on the battlefield and Mordred felt like she had emerged from an ocean of blood.

'How many has she killed?'

Asta and Yuno knew Mordred's story and they saw her kill before. It did not mean they were used to it though. Asta sighed.

"Was he strong?"

Mordred shook her head.

"Far from it. Weak as can be. He had a lot of mana but little in the way of using it. However, I say we leave already. Hey, four eyes, you Golden Dawn can take credit for capturing them. We Black Bulls will take the treasure collection as ours."

Klause grit his teeth.

"It's Klaus. Fine, have it your way."

He loaded up the Diamond Mages onto his chariot as Lotus looked down.

'Sorry Mars.'

They all began to leave the Dungeon as they got the treasure, captured some Mages, and killed a Shinning General. At least they almost killed a Shinning General as Mars' Grimoire flipped open and covered his wound in healing flame magic.

The only reason he had survived Mordred's lethal attack was because of Mimosa, his will, and mana. He opened his eyes in agony, but the Mage Stone in his chest had been destroyed. That broke the link between the three in his forehead which fell out.

'It hurts.'

He could not move and probably would not for quite some time. He closed his eyes and let his magic heal him. He was lucky that Atlas had been too full to eat or he would have been eaten alive.

Outside the Dungeon, Asta turned to Mordred.

"So, you got a new sword?"

She grabbed the sword off her hip and tossed it to him.

"It was an Anti Magic Sword that I kind of kept. Sorry."

Asta held the sword in his hands and saw how it changed compared to his. His Demon Slayer Sword was large and had no edge. However, the new Demon Dweller Sword that Mordred added to her grimoire, had a razor-sharp edge to it.

Plus the sword seemed to thrum with magic which clashed with Asta's Anti Magic.

"So, what would happen if I placed it in my Grimoire?"

Mordred shrugged as she willed the sword onto her back.

"It would probably become an Anti Magic Sword. Now. this gives me an idea."

She rubbed Atlas on the belly as she held the little Behemoth in her right arm. Asta was curious about what she was thinking about.

"What?"

"None of your business."

Tick marks appeared on Asta's face as he got on his knees.

"Please, tell me, your Majesty."

Mordred blushed at being called your majesty. She still was not used to that.

"Shut up you shrimp. I am not telling you a thing."

She ignored Asta who really wanted to know what she was thinking. However, Mordred was not speaking so he started to talk with the others of his squad and with Yuno. As they did that, Mordred thought about that Black Smith.

What he made was trash compared to her standard, but for this world maybe she could make use of it to give the Shrimp a gift. She wanted to thank him for taking her to the Church when she first arrived in this world.

She wanted to show her thanks so it would be a decent gift if she could figure out the process. While she figured that out, Charmy looked to Klause.

"You can leave us here. We got someone to pick us up."

He coughed as he looked at the daydreaming Mordred.

"She has the treasure."

Mordred glanced over and waved him off.

"You will get your share when the Wizard King gets the report. You won't be cheated, I give my word."

Klause nodded.

"Fine. Yuno, do as they say."

"Alright."

His wind chariot dropped down to the ground so the Black Bull could get off. Mordred lept off with the sleeping Atlas in her hands. Charmy, Noelle, and Asta followed as well, but before Yuno left. He had some words for Mordred and Asta.

"Remember, I will defeat both of you. So, Mordred, you better not slack off."

He held up his fist to Mordred who smiled and returned the gesture.

"You have a long way to go to measure up to me. As for the shrimp, he won't make your competition easy."

Asta began to cry tears of joy as he looked at Mordred.

"You really think that?"

Mordred laughed and shook her head.

"Nah, you got no chance."

"HEY! Give me back my hope."

Noelle covered her face as she looked at Asta.

"Stop screaming."

In all seriousness, Mordred really did believe in the loud guy.

"See you Yuno, Klause, and Mimosa."

The three Golden Dawn Members waved as Yuno lifted up his wind carriage. They secured their prisoners and took off toward the Capital. As for Mordred, Asta, Charmy, and Noelle, they just had to wait until Final opened up a portal for them.

Until then, Mordred and Charmy gave Asta and Noelle some tips on being Magic Knights. Mordred also advised Asta on fighting with swords as she had been doing it since she was born. As for Noelle, Charmy and Mordred gave her advice on how to control her magic better.

This only took an hour, before Final opened a portal to let them back into the Black Bulls Base. It was time to see what they had found in the dungeon.
