102 Well, I don't hate you

Sekke and Fana got ready to get back into the fight when suddenly they noticed some commotion near them.

"F-Fana? FANA!!! IT'S ME! DON'T YOU RECOGNIZE ME?!"

Turning toward the source of the commotion Sekke and Fana noticed Mars and Fanzell. Mars was staring at Fana with his eyes wide open in shock.

Sekke looked towards Fana and asked, "...Know him, Fana?"

Fana stared at Mars for a while and then all of a sudden held her head feeling a mild headache.

Seeing that Fana might remember something Sekke decided to wait for a bit before they got back to the fight.

But soon Fana glared at Mars and said, "I don't remember you. Now stop interfering." and focused back on Sekke.

Sekke shrugged his shoulders and then got ready to fight as well.

"Fanzell, hold back Mars. If either of you dares to interfere in our fight then be prepared for consequences," warned Sekke.

Fanzell nodded to Sekke's words. There was no way that he was interested to face the attacks like the two fired at Ladros just a few moments ago.

But Mars didn't hear what Sekke told him and continued to call out to Fana.

Hearing her name being called out constantly, Fana's headache surfaced back as her original memories tried to come back.

As if wanting to prevent that from happening dark colored mana started to come out of the third eye making her headache even more severe.

"Fana!!" called out Mars as he noticed that Fana was suffering from pain.

"Shut up for a while Mars! And get away from here," yelled Sekke as he noticed that the mana around Fana and Salamander was rampaging.

"What the hell is happening?" muttered Sekke as used wiped the sweat from his forehead as the temperature near him was getting way too hot.

"Judging by her rampant mana, I can presume that she is going to use some sort of sacrificial technique," said Vritra.

Hearing the dragon's answer, Sekke's eyes widened in shock as he immediately turned towards Fanzell.

"Fanzell shut Mars's mouth at once and hold him back!"

"H-Huh?!"

"Just do it!"

But Fanzel was late to respond as Fana got angered because of the headache and started firing randomly.

The Salamander fired a few fireballs in various directions with one of them heading toward Sekke and one heading towards Mars.

Seeing that Sekke wasted no time and formed a barrier around him.

[Frost Debuff + Bronze Creation Magic: Chilling dome]

A dome made of bronze magic giving off a chilling aura appeared around him as the fireball crashed into it making it explode and give off some steam around him.

Sekke then looked toward Mars and Fanzell and noticed that they were not able to react on time and were about to use his magic to protect them.

But before he did that two portals appeared near them as Asta and the other black bulls that came with them jumped out of it.

Noelle immediately erected a water barrier around them as the fireballs crashed into it.

Sekke sighed seeing that as he looked towards Noelle with a proud expression on his face.

"My little girl that I raised is finally able to control her magic instantly. It's making me cry," said Sekke as he wiped off a tear that came out of his eye.

"I am not your little girl!!" yelled Noelle with a blush on her cheeks feeling embarrassed.

"Sekke-kun she is about to use self-destruct magic. That Vetto guy tried to use the same magic at the sea temple." Informed Finral.

Hearing his words Sekke confirmed Vritra's theory and got serious.

"Sekke-kun, neither my threads nor Finral's teleportation is going to work near her, the heat and mana rampage is too much for us," said Vanessa.

"Sekke, let us help we can open a path together and then Asta can-" said Ainz but was immediately shut up by the immense amount of mana that came out of Sekke.

"Listen to this you all, as I said earlier. Don't dare interfere. This is my fight." said Sekke as an excited expression appeared on his face.

All of them turned silent as they felt his mana and even Asta who could not feel it felt the sudden change in Sekke's ki and knew that Sekke was getting serious.

"B-But how are you going to stop her from self-destruction? Only Asta's anti-magic will work on that!" said Noelle.

"Heh, never underestimate the dark lord Noelle, I don't need Asta to finish my fights. I can do that on my own," said Sekke as the some around him dematerialized.

"Vritra" muttered Sekke as his sacred gear appeared.

"Let's get this show on the road Vritra. Fana! Ready or not here I come!"

"Our first fight against a dragon. Now that's exciting. Let's show them the difference between us my other half!"

"All right!" declared Sekke as he rushed towards the elf and Salamander.

"Don't come near me!" yelled Fana as she fired at Sekke who didn't even slow down a bit.

"<Absorption Line: Spiral devour>"

Sekke pumped his sister forward as the absorption line came out of its gauntlets and formed a funnel-like spiral in front of him.

The fireballs that came in contact with the spiral immediately started to get absorbed by them and soon vanished from existence.

Sekke smirked seeing the results of his new move as he just continued to absorb the incoming fireballs.

Seeing her attacks not even making Sekke flinch, Fana got angrier and so did Salamander. The mana around them got even wilder as Sekke just smirked.

"Time to end this," said Sekke as he fired the absorption lime at Fana and tied her up.

Holding the elf tightly, Sekke pulled Fana away from Salamander making the fire spirit roar in anger.

"Just stay put for a bit."

But Salamander just ignored Sekke and tried to get Fana back from him.

"I don't like using this ability much because it feels like cheating. <Delete Field>" said Sekke as caught Fana who was wrapped in absorption line.

A faint glow came out of her as she immediately felt weak and Salamander disappeared in an instant. The rampaging mana around her calmed down as well but the self-destruction magic of the third eye didn't vanish.

"Hm? So the third eye is not directly connected to her huh?" muttered Sekke.

"It's more like a parasite. Feeding off its host's mana," replied Vritra as he analyzed the third eye.

"What did you do?" asked Fana, she didn't understand what happened, the moment Sekke caught her, she felt weak and was unable to use her mana at all. Even Salamander disappeared without her command.

"Just won our battle," replied Sekke in a calm tone as he looked at the girl who was being held by him while being wrapped up in his sacred gear.

"There is no way that is going to happen," replied Fana as her anger surged and the dark-colored mana around her third eye radiated even more.

"Oh, looks like I don't have much time left. Well, Fana it was a good fight," said Sekke as he started absorbing the remaining mana in her body.

Fana felt her mana being drained away at a very fast pace widened her eyes in shock and looked at Sekke.

"Why? Why are you getting in my way?"

"Hm...what can I say? Well if I don't then you might win, and the dark lord never loses."

"...That's your reason?!?!" yelled Fana. She was not sure whether Sekke was joking or not. But if he was not joking then she was really pissed with his answer.

"Then you tell me why should I not get in your way?" asked Sekke as he continued to drain mana from her.

"...I-I-....hate you," said Fana as she felt weak after most of her mana got drained away.

Sekke release Fana out of the absorption line bind and caught her after she started falling.

"Well, I don't hate you," said Sekke as he smiled helplessly at the weakened elf.

"You lie," replied Fana.

"Why would I lie? I don't have a reason to hate you."

"Then stop getting in our way."

"That's too unreasonable," said Sekke as he raised his free hand and willed his absorption lime to split into fine threads. The threads then wrapped up around his hand as he placed it over Fana's third eye.

"Well then, goodbye Fana."

Fana who heard Sekke's words didn't understand why he was saying goodbye to her. But instinctively felt that she was going to disappear and just closed her eyes.

"...You were different from other humans Sekke Bronzaza. You were a good man," said Fana.

Sekke just smiled at the praise and then used <Delete Field> and <Absortion> on the third eye making the self-destruction magic stop and the third eye disappear from her forehead.

"*Phew* It's finally over." said Sekke as he put Fana down.
