8 Chapter 7: Will I Still Be Your Number One?

"Let's stop the training for now. We still have to rest to get ready for the Grimoire Tower," Kaito said to Asta and Yuno. The two stopped their training and looked at Kaito. Asta, who heard it, ran fast to Kaito.

"Are we really getting our grimoires tomorrow?" Asta asked, excitement shining in his eyes. He had been waiting for this day, the day he would finally get his grimoire and prove to everyone that he had magic and could become the Wizard King.

"Yes, Asta. So, we're not overdoing our training today because we have to go to the Grimoire Tower, which is far away from our village," Kaito replied. Even he was excited, although he still had doubts as he didn't know what element he possessed, since all the magic he had been doing was from spells he copied.

"Let's go back to the church," Kaito said, and started walking.

...

...

...

"Dear, you're back," Lily said, now acting as a wife and no longer wearing her nun outfit. She had stopped being a nun as she now had a man. Their relationship was now good, without any awkwardness, and she now called Kaito "Dear" as if it were normal for them.

"Is dinner ready, Lily? We're really hungry now," Kaito said, his hunger evident from their nonstop training. Though Yuno didn't train his body, only his magic, he still used almost all his magic reserve, and if he lost it all, he would collapse and lose consciousness.

"Yes, Father and the kids are already at the dinner table. We're just waiting for the three of you," Lily replied. After saying that, she opened the main door of the church, knowing they were exhausted from training.

"Thanks," Kaito said, and walked over to Lily, wrapping his arm around her.

Asta and Yuno, who had been watching, decided to enter the church, still not used to seeing all of this.

...

...

...

Inside the church, nine people sat at the dinner table.

"Kaito, Asta, Yuno, once you get your grimoires, you'll have to go to Clover City and take the Magic Knight entrance exam," Father Orsi said with a sad tone. He treated them as his own sons and was saddened by the fact that they would be leaving. He would still see them, but only occasionally.

"Asta, I hope you'll be a good boy there. There are many dangerous wizards in this world. Yuno, you're strong and level-headed most of the time. If Asta gets into trouble, help him," Father Orsi continued, then looked at Kaito.

"And Kaito, you're the strongest and most mature of the three of you. You've been their big brother since they were little, so protect them."

Father Orsi knew Kaito would protect the two of them, but he didn't know what to talk about during their last dinner together, as they would leave after receiving their grimoires the next day.

"Why am I the youngest here?" Asta said, unintentionally breaking the sad atmosphere.

"Hahaha, it's because you're short," Nash replied, laughing nonstop.

"Nash, you..." Asta started to say.

...

After dinner, in one of the rooms of the church.

"Hmph, if you bring another woman, I'll... I'll..." Lily, with tears in her eyes, almost cried upon hearing from Kaito that he would bring another woman and possibly many more.

"Please forgive me, my love. This is the only way I can get stronger," Kaito said, wrapping his arms around Lily and making her sit on his lap.

"If you find another woman more beautiful than me, will I still be your number one?" Lily asked, tears falling from her eyes as she cried on Kaito's shoulders, hugging him.

"Of course, you'll always be my number one. Did you really think I'm a bastard who would leave his woman after getting bored?" Kaito asked with a fake sad tone. Though he meant it when he said she was his number one, he wouldn't neglect his soon-to-be other women.

"Of course not, I'm sorry," Lily said with a super cute face that would make any man, even a pervert, refrain from touching or hurting her. She looked like an angel in the human realm.

'So cute, I'm gonna die.'
