Chapter 1

"So, you are saying that I'm dead right?"

I calmly asked as I started at the white beard man sitting before me in this strange-looking office that has nothing in it except for two chairs which is being occupied by both of us and a table separating us.

Before I opened my eyes and found myself in this strange office, I remember the last thing I did before going to sleep was watch a couple of newly released animes but that is not important now as it seems that I will not be able to watch them unless if I were to get the standard procedure that people in my kind of situation get.

Nonetheless, I have to introduce myself regardless of whatever will happen to me... Let's start with my name.

My is Lucifer, Lucifer Morningstar and no, I'm not kidding about it. I am... well, was your average teenager who was forced to live the life of a shut-in due to my sensible parents thinking the name of the is something unique so they gave to me the moment that I was born and because of this name I had to suffer from isolation and never got myself a girlfriend despite having all the good qualities that I was born with.

Aside from having the name of the devil, I so was born with quite the unusual traits like having crimson-red eyes and an abnormally strong body. I also had an abnormally high mental capacity making me acquire and process information much faster than my fellow classmates.

Anyway, enough talking about the past and more focus on the present as thinking about it wouldn't change anything, well most of my memories will come in handy if what is about is to happen is what I think will happen.

"You seem to be taking it very well despite knowing that you are dead... Well, that is good as I don't need to go through the process of telling you about how you died so let's proceed to the main reason why you are here..."

SNAP!... BANG!!

The old man sitting before spoke out in a very light with a smile on his face after seeing my nonchalant expression about my situation and then snapped his fingers. This simple action of his then caused a portal to open above us and from with a massive roulette came crashing down.

Seeing the roulette piqued my interest and curiosity and so like how every sensible person would do in this situation, I started inspecting it to see what it was and from just a second of looking at it, a smile crept onto my face immediately afterwards as I saw what was on the roulette and it confirmed my thoughts as I'm going to get the chance to reincarnate into another world like in those fictional

"Looking at your expression of interest right now, I can tell that you have already figured out what is going to happen but I will still explain. The reason I "brought" you here was because I want to reincarnate you and my reason for that is entertainment. I'm the elder god of all the deities that exist in the infiniverse and I have been in existence even before the chaos started to give birth, you know what that means right."

"I'm bored! It was fun at first watching the endless creation and destruction that was happening throughout chaos but even that became boring in the long but lucky for you, your race gave me a perfect idea to entertain myself again and that is reincarnation... I don't have any mission or task for you to accomplish except for you giving me entertainment. Do whatever you want in your next life but make sure to entertain me."

"This roulette here as on it has the "names" of many worlds that you may or may not be familiar with and your luck will determine which one you will start your new journey in."

SNAP!... SPIN!!

The man snapped his finger once again immediately after he finished with his short explanation of the reason why he had decided to give me this chance at life again and the roulette started spinning at a tremendous speed making it seem like a blur to the naked human eyes however I was able to somehow keep track of it as it moved.

The roulette has on many fictional ranging from American comics, Mangas, manhwa and even hentias and I knew about quite a few of them but my knowledge wasn't that deep when it comes to almost 90% of the worlds that I am familiar with and the reason for that is either they were too boring or too long for me.

Worlds like the One Piece world and MHA were part of this list as I could see them on the roulette and so in order to not get any of such worlds, I crossed my fingers and hoped for a better world.

Anyway, the roulette went on spinning for a whole five minutes before it started slowing down and my face brightened up when I saw which world I was going to reincarnate into because that world is the Black Clover verse.

Long ago, humanity was on the verge of being wiped out by a demon but was saved by one extremely powerful mage who became known as the first Wizard King.

In the present day, the story begins with your typical Shounen series protagonist, Asta, a kind-hearted youth with the hot-bloodedness to match, but not the height much to his chagrin. His childhood friend and rival, Yuno, is the exact opposite of him, being tall and stoic along with being carelessly blunt and rude.

However, on the day the two gained their Grimoires, the spellbooks that would allow them to use magic and sign up for the Magic Knight Exam, it was discovered that Yuno received the legendary Four-Leaf Clover Grimoire, cementing his position and recognition as a genius.

Asta, on the other hand, got... absolutely nothing. Frustrated, Asta went back to his usual physical training, where it was revealed that despite their differences, Asta and Yuno were childhood friends.

Upon returning to town, he comes upon Yuno being bound by a magic-wielding bandit who sought to steal Yuno's Four-Leaf Grimoire and sell it for a high price. Despite Asta's best attempts to stop him, he is soon trounced by the bandit due to his lack of magic, where the bandit reveals that Asta has the strange condition of lacking any mana within him, thus invalidating his dream of becoming the Wizard King.

Regardless, Asta refused to give up, and Yuno revealed that he still saw Asta as his best friend and rival. Suddenly, a pitch-black grimoire appeared before Asta, summoning a massive black sword for him to wield.

Not taking this for granted, Asta took up the sword and pummeled the would-be bandit. After thanking Asta for saving them, they renewed the promise they made as children, vowing to see which one of them would become the Wizard King!

Power of the Verse

Like most Shounen series, Black Clover starts at a modest level of power before becoming much stronger as the series progresses. The lowest characters scale around Multi-City Block level while the higher-tier characters range from City level to Large Mountain level. Later on, most lower-tier characters range from Large Mountain level to Country level, and the high-tiers jump to Country level+ to Large Country level destruction. Finally, the top-tiers are reached in the Spade War Arc, with many characters of varying levels of Multi-Continent level existing, and the Final Saga brings god-tiers that are higher into Multi-Continent level and some even being Moon level to Small Planet level.

Black Clover is regarded as a very fast verse due to its incredibly early statements of light speed, although this topic tends to be controversial when brought up. Currently, the slowest characters scale to Relativistic speeds, with faster characters being Relativistic+. Light Magic is generally rated at Speed of Light and its superior version, Demon Light Magic is generally rated at FTL. Faster FTL characters are reached in the Spade Kingdom Saga, and the Final Saga contains the fastest characters, who are Massively FTL.

In terms of Lifting Strength, the verse is rather varied. Most characters tend to be comparatively unimpressive as most characters tend to not display physical feats. Thus, a good part of the cast scales to Class 10, but there are also many that reach Class K, Class M, Class G, Class T and even Class P, Class E, and Class Z.

Like other magic verses, Black Clover has a variety of abilities, including ones that most mages can use such as the durability-boosting Mana Skin - which also provides Resistance to Heat Manipulation, Sleep Manipulation, and Power Nullification - and the Statistics Amplification provided by Reinforcement Magic. It also has some notable hax at its disposal. Abilities such as Asta's Anti-Magic, Julius' Existence Erasure & Time Manipulation, or Yami's Durability Negation via Spatial Manipulation allow many characters to fight opponents stronger than themselves, making this verse very formidable.

In addition, Black Clover is home to numerous devils. These devils have their own unique physiology, as shown here. This grants a slew of abilities, the most notable one being the Invulnerability of the hearts of mid-rank devils or higher; this requires the use of Arcane or Saint Stage attacks to defeat them, adding another level of formidability to the verse.
