5 Chapter 5: 6 Months Training For The Exam Part 2
Before this chapter starts, I forgot to add that for defeating Revchi, this system message should've popped up:
[User has defeated a 1st Class Junior Magic Knight for the first time, double points will be awarded]
So that means MC has another 500 points, [Points: 740 -> 1240]

Half of the second month had already passed when Suzaku finally saw a notification that put a smile on his face.
[User has increased 'Godspeed' mastery to (Basic), congratulations! 500 Points has been awarded!]
[User has upgraded a spell to (Basic) for the first time. Double Points has been awarded!]
[Points: 1240 -> 2240]
Godspeed, at its Basic mastery, allowed for Suzaku to keep the form for 10 minutes max. Every minute his mana would deplete, but he could release the form at any moment, hence stopping anymore mana being taken. His speed with Godspeed allowed for low transonic speed currently, and would only increase with every mastery and stat increase.
Another upgrade alongside these was the new addition of Godspeed: Purple lightning claws for close combat.
A few more days passed, with another notification popping up
[User has increased 'Heaven's Judgement' mastery to (Basic), congratulations! 500 Points has been awarded!]
[Points: 2240 -> 2740]
This spell at its basic mastery allowed for more lightning to spawn and strike down the designated spot/person with a small column of lightning that was about 30cm thick. Whilst the (New) mastery barely scorched the grass previously, the current mastery at the minimal level allowed for a tree to be destroyed relatively easily. Finally, the range increased for 5m to around 15m. This is with the current magic stat, and would only increase as the number increases.
(A/N: I think these are good little and slow buffs that make sense for each mastery, hopefully. If not, feel free to give suggestions for me to probably use - after all, I'm not a scaling master and whatnot. Also, as stated, as the stats increase, the spells would also be stronger anyway. But that doesn't mean mastery isn't important still obviously)
'So every spell that gets basic mastery gives me 500 points, that's good to know.
Now that I've got these spells to basic mastery, I'd say the good thing to do now would probably be... this' He opened his stats to distribute his current points.

'Ahh~ That feels good every time' Suzaku thought in ecstasy as a warm energy filled his body. This happened every time he put points into his stats, but this was the best one so far due to the amount of points used.
'I can already feel my stamina and mana has increased quite a bit thanks to those upgrades, and my body feels a little stronger and light... I wonder what level I'm at currently?
Man~, I should've let Revchi hit me with his chains, then I'd probably know what level I'm at currently' He sighed, '...Oh well.
Maybe I should start doing that now' He though with a smile as he looked over to the demon skull, where Asta was most likely training like usual.
For clarification, after the grimoire ceremony, Suzaku asked the church for a massive favour to stay until the exam came. Fortunately, they happily agreed, thanks to Asta's and Yuno's favour as well, and he was able to stay for 6 months.
Obviously, he wouldn't do this without doing his work to stay. This meant he'd do usual daily chores (more than the others at his own will), cook occasionally, and promised that he'd give the church his first paycheck, or two, or three - even though Sister Lily tried to refuse, Suzaku would refuse her refusal and insisted he'd pay them back for his stay, much to the happiness of Father Orsi.

"Yo, Asta!" Suzaku waved as he walked in on a sweaty Asta being shirtless whilst swinging his demon-slayer sword on a thick and strong tree with his buff body that didn't match his size or face.
Coming to a halt due to Suzaku's voice, Asta stabbed his sword into the ground to lean on for support as he wiped his sweat from the heavy training.
"Hey! Haa... What're you doing here, Suzaku? Haa..." He asked as he breathed heavily for air.
Looking at Asta's state, Suzaku started by asking "Just finished my own training and wanted to check up on you. How's your training going?"
"It's been going good... I think. It's kinda hard to tell when I'm training by myself and not fighting anybody" Asta replied, raising his eyebrow when he saw Suzaku's face show a big smirk, "...Suzaku?"
"Perfect! Because coincidentally I also need a sparring partner after training my new spells! And a few points..." He muttered the last bit.
"Awesome! Alright, I'll gladly be your sparring partner!" With a sudden burst of energy, as if all his exhaustion just now disappeared, Asta shouted excitedly in response.
Fortunately, he didn't hear Suzaku's last comment.
"Good good... You can rest for a few minutes, then we can start the fight"

Asta and Suzaku now stood face-to-face, both having their grimoires out.
"I'll throw this stick up high. As soon as it touches the ground, that's when the match starts" Suzaku stated as he juggled a stick in his hands.
"Alright!" Asta shouted.
Throwing the stick up, Asta and Suzaku felt the suspense as the stick fell down but were both ready for when the stick hit the ground.
Eventually, after a few seconds, it hit the ground.
In a flash, Asta's grimoire opened as he pulled out the hilt of the sword with a serious face.
Suddenly, he heard a static noise above him, causing him to look up to see some purple lightning colliding with one another.
*ZAP!* A second later, the purple lightning column struck down at Asta.
Another thing about Suzaku's Heaven's judgement being (Basic) was that it currently took 2 seconds to start up before striking down the lightning.
Asta reacted to the lightning that struck by swinging his anti-magic sword, cutting the lightning and nullifying the spell.
"Wow! That's an awesome spell and magic!" Asta stood still as he complimented Suzaku.
"Thanks, though it could be a lot better" He replied, before they both returned to focusing on the spar.
Asta did his usual fast first-step as he appeared in front of Suzaku almost instantly.
Unfortunately for Asta, unlike all his previous opponents, Suzaku could actually see and react to Asta in front of him quite easily.
Pulling his sword back, Asta went for a downward slash. "HAAH!"
*TING!*
The sword collided with the grass, hitting nothing but air.
'Wow, he actually dodged that?' Asta thought in surprise.
"Don't hold back, Asta... otherwise this match will end fast!" Suzaku, who had side-stepped Asta's sword with ease, sent a kick to Asta's chest.
Tanking the hit, Asta was pushed back a few metres from Suzaku's kick.
"You're pretty strong, Suzaku!"
"You too... but I'm serious, don't hold back" Suzaku suggested as Asta replied with a knowing nod.
"Got it, but DON'T-" Asta did another quick step and downward slash combo, "-COMPLAIN WHEN YOU GET HURT!" He shouted as his sword was much quicker this time, even catching Suzaku by surprise.
*TING!*
A massive cloud of dust and dirt appeared where Asta slashed his sword. Not wasting any time, Asta then did a quick side slash at Suzaku.
"Hup!" Suzaku jumped over the sword, leaving him open in the air.
"HAAH!" Asta cried as he hit the free Suzaku with the flat side of the sword, sending him flying.
"Gah!" Suzaku gagged as he hit the floor strongly, "Not bad... heh" He smirked as he brushed off some dirt that got on his clothes and body.
'Asta's still too fast compared to my stats, it was hard already to dodge the first two attacks, but that third one was a free hit for him... I need to get more experience' Suzaku pointed out his weakness, realising he could've easily avoided that third hit by not jumping over the slash, but rather jumping back or something similar.
'But I guess this is what that's for after all!' He thought with a smile as he activated his Godspeed spell.
Instantly, Suzaku appeared in front of Asta and went for a slash with his thunder claws towards Asta's chest.
Asta responded by blocking the claws with the flat side of his sword. He then widened his eyes when he saw Suzaku smirk as he jumped up and did a quick and strong axe kick to his right shoulder.
"AHK!" Not being able to react fast enough, Asta was hit by the kick which caused him to drop to his knees as he dropped his sword and grabbed his pained shoulder. He then looked up to see Suzaku's claw placed near his neck.
"I win... Good battle" Suzaku undid his Godspeed and put his left arm out for Asta to grab.
"Yeah... Owowowow!" Asta winced as he stood up.
"Sorry, I went a little too hard" Suzaku apologised, "Let's go to Sister Lily, she should be able to heal your shoulder" He suggested, to which Asta nodded.

'Woah! 10,000?? Just by defeating Asta in a spar?! [Points: 2740 -> 12,740]
Fortunately, Asta appears to be nowhere near his speed in the magic knight exam... unless I'm faster than I though, I dunno
Then again though, Asta said a while ago that he decided to focus more on his sword rather than his actual body these past 2 months, so that probably explains it'
Having taken Asta to Sister Lily for recovery, Suzaku went back to his own training area as he pondered on what to do.
'I'll use these points, and then save any other points I get from now on... probably'

[Agility: 500 -> 2000 Points] [Agility Rank: D -> C-]

"Ahh~-" Letting out a little moan accidentally, Suzaku covered his mouth at the speed of light with his hand.
'...' He looked around before putting his hand down, 'No one's here, that's good' He triumphed.
Looking at another tree, Suzaku used his 'Heaven's Judgement' Spell at it.
*Zi-Zi-ZAP BANG!*
The purple lightning disintegrated the poor tree instantly, and also made a deep hole into the ground beneath it. Furthermore, very little was used up meaning he could use it a lot more times.
"Woah..." He opened his mouth in awe before it transformed into a smirk, 'I wonder how strong this spell will be with higher mastery'
