Chapter 12
Xia Yaoyao sigh in relief when they didn't press her for an answer. In the afternoon, Wu Jing Yan begged Xia Yaoyao to have some dinner with them before she leaves their home but she politely rejects them as she has something to do so she called Uncle Li ( Li Mu Feng ) to fetch her. She didn't want to trouble them to drive her home.
After thanking Uncle Li for driving her home, she pushed the front door of her so-called ' house ' then entered with a big smile. What she did expect is the whole ' family ' are gathering in the living room with an angry expression except for Xia Yi Lin that has a pitiful and wronged expression.
Lian Xian Yin glares at Xia Yaoyao with eyes that full of hatred. Lian Xian Yin suddenly stormed towards Xia Yaoyao then give her a big slap on her face making Xia Yaoyao lost for balance then falls down, she intended to break the fall using her right hand to support her dislocated shoulder but the slap was quite strong so she worsened the injury instead. The pain on her shoulder also becomes more unbearable that leads Xia Yaoyao having cold sweat.
" YOU! DAUGHTER OF A WHORE! HOW DARE YOU PUSH MY DAUGHTER WHEN SHE TRIES TO HELP YOU! TODAY I AM GOING TO BEAT YOUR UP BECAUSE YOUR SLUT OF A MOTHER CANNOT TEACH YOU" Lian Xian Yin roared as she began to pull on Xia Yaoyao's hair like a mad man as the whole family just sit there enjoying the drama.
Xia Chen Li turns a blind eye on how his wife is beating Xia Yaoyao as he comforts her daughter and at the same time a little smirk plastered on Xia Yi Lin's face as she covers it with her hands looking at her mother beating Xia Yaoyao. Meanwhile, Xia Yaoyao tries hard to stay conscious despite her hair being tugged harshly and the burning pain on her shoulder. She really wants to fight back but, she afraid that it will ruin her hard work all these years, so she just accept the beating from Lian Xian Yin while protecting her head so that she will not have a concussion. Lian Xian Yin only stop her beatings after she feels tired from punching and kicking Xia Yaoyao whose nearly fainted from the pain but unfortunately her pain tolerance is kind of high, so she only can suffer from the pain.
After Lian Xian Yin stop, she smiled towards her family then gesture them to go back to their room as the show already finished. The only person left on the living room is Xia Yaoyao who can't even feel her limbs anymore. She tries hard to support her body to go back into her room by dragging her body slowly like a turtle. It tooks nearly half an hour for her to arrived in front of her room that is on the second floor and after that suddenly, a black dot surrounds her,making her finally lose her consciousness.
The next morning, Xia Yaoyao woke up with a splitting headache. She tries hard to move her body to drink some water as her throat feels like there is lava inside. But, her body won't listen to her. So, she forced herself to drag her body again towards the kitchen. The days repeat with Xia Yaoyao dragging her body back and forth, bandaging her injured body putting medicine and cooking. All this works are done by Xia Yaoyao's herself as no one kind enough in her household to help her. Not even the arrogant servants.
