1 A Chance Encounter

When I woke up it was the middle of the night. I was in a clearing, and there was a dense forest of magical trees for as far as the eye could see. There was fog hanging in the air all around me.

"W...Where am I? Hmm...Maybe I should try to fly around and look for something I recognize? I don't know..." I shook my head after saying that. "It would probably be for the best... Probably." I revealed my wings, which were pure black on top and faded to pure white at the bottom, and started to flap them. "OW! What in Irene?!" I winced as I realized that my wings had been injured. I honestly couldn't remember why at the time, but I knew the injury had happened somehow. "Grrr... Why me?"

I hid my wings once again and started to wander around to try to find something, anything I recognized. However, before I knew it I had lost the clearing I had started in. "Oh no no no no! A-am I... Am I even more lost than I was...?!" I yelled, which could have been the worst thing in the world to do, as I was in an unknown magical forest with who knows what living in it. I found the closest tree, sat down, and curled in my knees into my chest. I was in a full state of panic, but somehow I must have fallen asleep there.

The next thing I knew there was someone shaking me and yelling.

"Hey you! Wake up already!" When I opened my eyes to the person yelling there was a boy that looked around 17 with black hair that went down to ears and had golden colored eyes with one that had a scar over it. His eyes had a hint of frustration in them.

"U-umm... H-hi?" I was both confused and somewhat nervous.

"Who the hell are you and why are you just sleeping in the forest?!"

"Shouldn't you introduce yourself first?"

"Why should I? You could easily be a spy or an assassin or something."

"Because it is polite!"

"Yeah, how about no."

"Grrr, fine. My name is Karasu, and I was just lost and I was just resting." He seemed to get even more suspicious of me after I said that, because he started to glare more intensity.

"Likely story. I do not trust a single thing you tell me until proven otherwise."

"Then why bother asking!!" I yelled as he drew his sword and pointed it at my neck.

"Turn around, I am bringing you to the village and turning you in." I could not believe what I was hearing. This guy wasn't even listening to a single word I was saying. However, I did what he said, and he did follow through with what he said he would. I really wish he hadn't though
