Chapter 17

"Odetta", he squeals as he runs and hugs me, almost knocking me off my feet.

He buries his face in my thigh and pulls away before I kneel down to his height. He cries and I wipe his tears away but he keeps on releasing the waterworks.

"I really missed you and I cried every night and—", I shush him and pull him in for a hug because he was crying so hard and every word was making it difficult for him to breath.

"It's okay I'm here", I assure him but he cries even harder. My eyes widen in surprise and I pat his back and hug him closer. He pulls away and wipes his tears before running to alpha Casper. He picks him up and Javier hugs him.

"Did you bring her daddy?"

He nods and Javier starts crying all over again. I laugh and stand up from my kneeling position before watching them.

"I love you daddy, thank you so much daddy" he cries harder.

I look at the Isabella who is smiling at me and I smile back at her.

"Izzy can you see this?"

She nods as alpha Casper places Javier back down on the ground on his feet. He runs to Isabella and drags her over to me, "Isabella this is Odetta my best friend"

"We've met before already javi " she says and hugs me, "Are you that excited?"

"He must be", I smile down at him.

She chuckles, "it always seems like he forgets about me when he is with you"

"And what is going on here?", A dark haired who I'm sure is beta victor says as he enters the sitting room and pauses when he sees the tear stained face of Javier,Sebastian and I.

"You're actually here?", He asks and looks at alpha Casper, "you sly devil, you actually did it"

Alpha Casper reluctantly nods and the dark haired guy smiles.

"Ah, both Javier and Casper haven't stopped talking about you since we got here", he straightens his left hand towards me and I take it "thank you for actually coming. I'm sure alpha Casper wasn't a very pleasant company"

"he really wasn't", I say and ignore the glare from alpha Casper.

"If I could have a dollar for every time one of these boys said your name, I would be a fucking trillionaire."

I nod "I'm flattered and this is my guard Sebastian"

Sebastian has a hard look on his face, compared to his smiling face around me and simply nods in acknowledgement. Javier walks to him and pokes his leg, "I know you"

"Of course, you know everyone"

Javier ignores my comment and looks at Sebastian in deep thought before his face lights up, "you're that man that showed Odetta and I the library", Sebastian just nods again and Javier walks up to me with pride.

"Well I have to go for a meeting right now but I'll be back before midnight", alpha Casper says and kisses Javier's cheek before narrowing his eyes at me and turning around to leave.

"Childish fucker", I mutter and he stops for just a split second before leaving.

"This is fucking great", victor exclaims and I look at him and Isabella. They both have smiles of amusement.

"I can't wait to see how riled up you can get him", Isabella laughs and gives me a thumbs up. "I have to go also", victor says and kisses Isabella's cheek before smiling at me and leaving.

"I don't want you to curse like daddy", Javier tells me.

I nod, "I promise—cross my heart and hope to die", I cross my heart and that seems to satisfy him.

"Let me show you your room", she announces but Javier grabs my hand and pulls me out of the room.

"I'll show you first"

I laugh as he drags me up the stairs of the mansion. After a few seconds, we finally stop in front of the brown door to my room. Isabella and I laugh as he struggles to open the doors to my room. I try assist but he denies my help and finally he succeeds in opening the door.

"It's so beautiful"

"I decorated it just in case you came back with Casper"

I look around the room and see my suitcases sitting beside my bed.

"Victor and I's room is five doors away and your guards room is opposite yours", Isabella tells me before taking his leave, "let me show your guard to his room."

"My room is upstairs", Javier pouts and sits on my bed.

I ruffle his hair and open the closet to see how I'll arrange my clothes in it. "You can come sleep with me or I'll come sleep with you and besides it's almost 11p.m aren't you meant to be asleep"

"Daddy said he had a surprise for me before he left early this morning"

I let Javier drown me with his rambles about how bored he was without me and how much he missed me. I laughed a bit at some parts and scolded him when he said that he couldn't eat well for a day because eating without me was boring.

"All done", I say and step back from the closet to admire my clean and orderly arrangement. I pick out sweat shorts and a big T-shirt before changing into them in the toilet.

When I come out, Javier is sitting on my bed not even a bit sleepy. "Let's go to my room", he leads the way and I follow him.

We go up another flight of stairs before we reach his room. "That's daddy's room", he whispers and points to the big oak doors. We enter his room and I drink it all in.

His room is blue with clouds and airplanes and beautiful drawings on the wall which I'm sure he didn't do. His bedsheets are blue with white clouds on them and his bed frame is a big race car. This room really scream Javier and there's a book shelf beside his bed.

He run to his bed and climbs it after struggling a bit before wiggling under the duvet. "Come on Odetta", he smiles, patting the space beside him in bed.

I climb in beside him and I'm surprised when I fit. He snuggles against me and I throw my arms around him and bring him closer.

We don't say anything, we just stay in each others arms and soon enough his breathing becomes even. I decide to untangle myself from him but he pulls me closer and murmurs something i don't make out. I finally untangle myself and kiss his head before switching off the lights and leaving his room.

I return to my room and after a few minutes after,my stomach growls and I realize that I haven't eaten anything in over seven hours. I leave my room and contemplate on asking Isabella for help but I don't want to disturb her so, I journey there on my own.

"This is weird", I mutter to myself as I enter the kitchen. I don't feel comfortable at the thought of eating from someone else's kitchen without permission but I push those feelings away and head towards the fridge.

I open the fridge and pull out the bread and butter. I look around for cutleries and take out a knife when I see them in a drawer. I lay out two slices of bread and start to spread butter on a slice.

"What the fuck are you doing in my kitchen?"

I look at alpha Casper's annoyed face "why are you always bitch towards me? Did I do something to you?"

"Answer my question"

"What else would I be doing in the kitchen except looking for something to stab you with"

He moved so fast that I didn't even see when moved to my side. He grabbed my arm and pulled me closer causing the knife to fall from my hand. He lowered his mouth to my ear level.

"I'm tired of you running your mouth at me. Need I remind you that you're in my pack lands and I can do whatever I want with you so I advice you to watch your words and actions", he says lowly before letting me go and leaving.
