NEW CHAPTER, NEW LIFE

I was woken up from my deep sleep being roughly shaken. It was my mum talking loudly and angrily. I sat up wondering what I did wrong this time.

" It's 9 am and you are still in bed? Who do you think will be waking you to go to work?

You should learn how to wake up early not sleeping all day in bed " she scoffed at me.

"Work? " Lisa asked in confusion. Her eyes moved from me to mom. "What are you talking about? Jenny, you passed your final exams with distinction. I was not in a position to answer her. My heart was broken beyond repair.

Lisa looked at me while holding my hand "Jenny what's going? "She asked tears building up in her eyes. "Lisa, you won't understand", I said standing to leave the room. She stopped me, " then make me understand, " she, said. She looked hurt more hurt and it just hurt me more. We both had big dreams together and she couldn't imagine me declining my scholarship to work. I sat on the bed as our mom shut the door. "Well, you know mum hates it when I go to school! "I tried telling her before I was interrupted by noises and screams from mum's room.

I run off to her on the floor and we helped her get to her bed.

"Mummy, what happened? "I asked. "Nothing, I.. I.. just felt dizzy and weak and I ended up on the floor."

"How are you feeling now? " I asked worriedly. "Am okay, she said coldly. "Okay" I managed to say before leaving her room.

I walked out of mum's room and headed straight to the kitchen to wash some dishes. I was so confused and had a lot in my mind. "Who is that person I am going to meet? What has she got cooking this time?" I asked myself as I finished the dishes.

The last time mum introduced me to someone, it didn't go well. It was her friend who owned a bar and told me she is a very close friend and more of a sister to her. She ended up torturing me, overworking me, and starving me in her house despite her being rich.

When I was done with my chores, I took a quick shower before mother woke up. After freshening up I went straight to her room. "Am done, we can go now " I said looking at her with a straight face. Mum woke up, changed her pajamas and wore some light make-up." You should know how to wear make up by now, you'll need them" she said as she was doing her final touch while looking in the mirror. I just stood at the door, silent and confused as I waited sucked

After locking her room she walked out cat walking like a super model.

Mum had a beautiful body and such an adorable hour glass figure, long black hair, chocolate complexion and medium height. A lot of people said she looked young to be a mother others said she was my elder sister. She was way too beautiful. I just admired her beauty but not her character She had good taste when it came to clads and shoes. Every time she wasn't home, I would sneak in her room to try on some shoes and clothes and cat walking as she does. I think that's where my love for fashion design began. From her closet!.

A luxurious Porsche was parked beside our gate. I had never seen such a car. I only saw them on my friend's phones and TV. "You are late," the man on the wheel said blankly. "Sorry I wasn't feeling too well in the morning" mum said in a soft voice. I have never seen her this respectful. I was surprised.

"You know I don't like it when people keep me waiting! I am the boss here not your chauffeur!! " the man scoffed and we were just silent. Mother looked down innocently. We boarded the car in the backseat. The ride wasn't long but was filled with a tense mood.

After a few minutes, we arrived at a big mansion. "Wooow" I exclaimed. I have never seen such a huge house in my entire life. "This must be fancy," I said to myself. As soon as we alighted from the car, some 2 ladies with stripped short skirts and black blazers welcomed us. They looked so cute with their long hair on a ponytail, perfectly done makeup and 6 inched stilettoes.

"Good afternoon sir, "they both said. The man looked so angry, he passed them without a word. "That was rude, "I said. Mum shushed me even before I could utter another word. "Mind your business young lady!! " she said angrily. "Whatever you see or hear that doesn't concern you, you have to mind your own business, "she said holding my hair too tight that it was hurting me. I wonder why she hates me this much.

We were on our way to the main door when a woman approached us. "Is this the girl?" she asked looking at me from head to toe before looking at my butt. "Not bad," she said, "we just need to do some few changes and she will be perfect for the job." She added. She looked around middle-aged follow me" she, said. I did as told and followed her. She opened a certain, door of a room that was at the back of the mansion. It looked good too. perfectly designed and decorated with valuable and elegant interior features that left me amazed. I couldn't take my eyes off the expensive ornaments used to decorate the room. "Young woman!! "The lady called. "Sorry," I said as I followed her quickly. She opened one more door and I watched as she started to walk down the stairs. "Where are you taking me? " I asked. "No questions lady, just follow me," she said trying not to shout. I followed her to this beautiful room down the hallway with a large bed and a big decorated dressing table with a lot of makeup and jewelry, "this is your room "she, said showing me around. "This is your bathroom and your dressing room over here and this is your dressing table," she said looking straight at me. I had a lot of questions in my mind, "why am I being treated like a princess?" I have never experienced such in my entire life.

"You should take a rest, food will be brought to you in a few" s, he said leading to the door. "Make sure you have some good rest, you have a long night ahead of you," she said as she left and locked the door.

I felt everything was happening so fast. Just yesterday I was lost in thoughts with no hope of my future and today here I am in this whole new life in another 'world of luxury and fancy life.
