The Ball

I descended the stairs with my brother by my side. I can see my mother chit chatting with the other mothers. She motioned me to come talk to her.

"What took you so long dear? Everyone has been waiting, the fruit punch is already almost gone" Mother rambled

"Well mother it seems you haven't noticed"

"Notice what?"

We just looked at eachother. Then she began to paint a grin on her face. I swam through the crowd of people to look for Jessie but someone else caught my eye.

"Cassandra?" I yelled

She turned around with her face beat red like she's been laughing a lot.

"How dare you show your face here tonight?" I scolded

Her face got pale.

"I just wanted to come back and apologize for my actions" she answered

"You slept with my brother! Then lied to me about it! To top it off you went through all that to break my brother's heart!"

The last part got everyone quiet to hear what's going on.

"I know you may never trust me again but I at least want a second chance to have my friend back"

"I'm going outside to get some fresh air and when I come back you better be gone"

I headed to the court yard in the front of the house. I can't believe Cassandra had the nerve to show up to my own birthday. How can I forgive her after all she did to my brother?

I was so angry that I didn't hear the footsteps creeping behind me. Someone put they're hand over my mouth then bit me in the neck. I can feel my body getting drained of my blood.

I can feel my life changing in just minutes. I woke up normal then became a witch for real and now I'm a vampire. Why me?
