58 Ominous Premonition

At this moment, Clyde was in a state of total concentration.

The endless hordes of demon beasts didn't bother him.

The only thing in his sight was the giant ogre.

Pulling the string of his bow, he took a deep breath as massive waves of aura erupted from him.

It was clear that he was going all out in this attack.

The entire aura reserves of a Gold Core Stage and the technique of a First Class Warrior was contained in this single shot.

He observed calmly as he saw Director Ver and Agnes going up against the ogre.

Director Ver was keeping the left hand of the ogre occupied as he punched its wrist.

Just as the ogre was about to swat him with its right hand, Agnes leaped up and attacked the ogre.

Unfortunately, she failed as the ogre slapped her away with its right hand.

It was at this moment that Clyde's eyes widened, his concentration reaching its peak.

"Now!"

Agnes's shout was like a trigger that went off inside Clyde's mind.

'Now!'

He said in his heart as he saw the opening created by the two people he respected the most.

The left hand if the ogre was occupied while its right hand wasn't protecting its body.

It was an opportunity he grabbed in an instant.

The erupting aura suddenly calmed as it smoothly flowed into the bow and arrow in Clyde's hand.

Aiming at the ogre's eye, he released the string with a chant.

[Piercing Shot]

Whoosh—

The ear-piercing sound of the arrow piercing through the air echoed in the area.

After slapping away the human that dared attack it, the ogre wasn't able to even have a moment to breathe when an arrow instantly pierced its right eye.

ROARRRR—

It roared in pain as it delivered a full powered hammer swing onto the ground.

Boom— Crack*

Its blow made a cone-shaped rupture on the ground in front of it.

Human, goblins, demon beasts, or other ogres, none was spared in its frenzy.

Director Ver was also thrown away in the distance, barely being able to land on his feet.

"Fuck…" Clyde said powerlessly as he knelt on the ground.

The arrow was stuck on the ogre's eyeball and wasn't able to penetrate its brain.

He felt powerless as even his full powered shot wasn't able to pierce through a Demon General's eyeball.

Both Director Ver and Agnes also noticed this and had heavy expressions on their faces.

The ogre continued to stomp and swing its hammer in a frenzy.

Then after a short while, it began to reach for the arrow on its eye.

Director Ver and Agnes looked at each other and nodded, before simultaneously rushing towards the ogre.

Clyde knew that it wasn't the time to wallow in misery, so he notched a few arrows on his bow and started shooting.

Although it wasn't covered in aura, such attacks were lethal enough for the countless low level demon beasts.

Agnes brandished the war axe on her hand and stopped the ogre from reaching for the arrow on its eye.

Shortly afterwards, Director Ver jumped up.

Having a tacit understanding of each other, Agnes immediately swung the flat side of her war axe towards Director Ver.

Director Ver smiled as he stepped at the war axe, using it as a foothold in order to accelerate his jump.

He soon reached the head of the ogre as he erupted with aura.

The eruption of his aura was even more intense than Clyde earlier.

After all, even between First Class Warriors, there were differences and gaps between their powers.

Director Ver tensed his muscles, his shirtless body bulging even more as the aura surrounding him could be almost seen with the naked eye.

He gritted his teeth and chanted as he readied his fists.

[Fist Barrage]

Boom* Boom* Boom* Boom* Boom—

Endless booming sounds resounded throughout the entire battlefield.

Director Ver continuously hammered the stuck arrow, making it penetrate the ogre's eyeball deeper with every punch.

Boom* Boom* Boom* Boom* Boom—

Clyde, Agnes, and the other warriors kept silent as they hopefully looked at the bulky old man who was showering the ogre with his punches.

The flailing ogre slowly lost its strength as the arrow slowly pierced through its brain.

GROWLLL— Thud!!!

Not long after, the ogre completely collapsed.

Everyone cheered, smiles blooming on their faces as they couldn't hide the happiness in their hearts.

"Hah… Hah…" Director Ver also smiled in delight as he panted in exhaustion.

Clyde and Agnes also smiled, killing a Demon General as First Class Warriors was a big achievement for them.

"You brats! Don't you see that there are still enemies?! Quickly kill them all!!" Director Ver shouted.

The warriors cheered as they continued fighting, their morale massively increasing due to the Demon General's death.

Director Ver went towards the other two before slumping on the ground, severe exhaustion could be seen on his expression.

"Ugh… You two did good."

A smile bloomed on Clyde and Agnes's faces when they heard his praise.

"You did the most work, Director. I'm glad I was able to help…" Clyde scratched his head shyly.

Agnes also smiled, "All I did was get slapped by the ogre, it's you who di—"

Before she could finish, Director Ver laughed, "You're right, I didn't expect that there would be a day where I'll watch you get repeatedly swatted by an ogre like you were a mosquito! Hahahaha!!"

"Old man!" Agnes bared her teeth as she tried to swing her war axe towards the laughing Director Ver.

However, she was stopped by Clyde who was also laughing because of the two's antics.

"Director!!!"

However, a shout interrupted the three from resting.

A warrior panted as he held his knees, it was clear that he was exhausted because of running.

"What is it? Why don't you rest first" Director Ver said as he looked at the exhausted warrior.

"N-No… we don't have time for that." The warrior shook his head vigorously.

Clyde and Agnes looked at each other, their expressions serious as they waited to hear what the warrior had to say.

However, there was something that was felt by the three of them; a foreboding sense of danger.
