First Raid

In the Shakunetsu Hunters Association Building.

"Thank you for sparing the time to come here, Leo Howard. My Name is Daiichi Yamamoto and I'm the Chairman of the Shakunetsu Hunters Association."

"Greetings Chairman."

"I'm sure you heard from Kyouko. The Citizens of Shakunetsu want you to prove that you're no fraud. A D-Rank Dungeon has spawned in the Southside of the East City. I'll need you to clear it with the Ravens Guild party."

"After I clear the Dungeon, What'll happen?"

"Not even if? We'll re-rank you. Your Hunters Card is outdated and does not match your current status."

"Alright. I'll participate in this raid."

"The Raid starts at 2 pm so get yourself ready."

"Right."

In Leo's apartment, Leo's doing various exercises to get himself fit.

"Right, Time for a shower."

Late on, Leo is fully dressed in a white t-shirt and grey hoodie jacket, and blue jeans with sneakers on. He gets to the door of his apartment.

"The Days of holding people back are over. I'll be going."

Leo leaves the apartment and walks towards the location of the Dungeon. People in the street keep looking back at him and muttering amongst themselves.

He has arrived at the location of the raid and he meets the strike team he is working with gathered already.

(A D-Rank Dungeon, We have two E-Ranks, Five D-Ranks, Two C-Rank Healers, One D-Rank Mage, and One C-Rank Hunter.)

"Good, looks like everyone is here and ready for the raid. Allow me to introduce myself, My Name is Walter of the Ravens Guild and I'll be leading today's raid. If you have any questions then ask them now."

"Hey Walter, This guy right here is an F-Rank Hunter right? Why is an F-Rank Hunter going to raid with us? The worst of it, he's not even signed with a guild." One of the Hunters asked.

"The Association allowed him to raid. I was against it at first but Lady Hilda said we can bring him in. Which is why he's going to be our Porter."

"..."

The Hunters drop their bags at Leo's feet and start to put on their armor. Leo picks all their bags up and puts them on.

"Right, Shall we get started?"

They all walk through the gate and into the Dungeon. As they are strolling around the dungeon, a young female mage with purple hair approaches Leo.

"Hey Mister, Why are these people cruel to you?"

"It's just how the world is. Those who do not bring merit are considered trash."

"That so."

"And what's with you, little girl? I thought you would be amongst the people discriminating against me."

"Oh no, I'm not like that at all. I don't believe that there are those superior or lower than the others. I think everyone should be treated the same despite their ranks, but I always got mocked for it."

"I See."

Brief Silence takes over the room and only the sound of footsteps can be heard. The little girl turned to Leo and asked once more,

"So Mister, What is your name?"

"Leo Howard."

"Leo Howard? Aren't you the guy they used to call the weakest hunter?"

"Harsh."

"They say you died in a dungeon Seven years ago, In which that Dungeon was called the Seven Year Dungeon for it hasn't opened for Seven years."

"The Seven Year Dungeon."

"So the one the reporters were talking about cleared the Dungeon, It was you?"

"Lies. There's no way someone as weak as he cleared the Dungeon." One of the Hunters said.

"What's with that guy? He's pissing me off."

"So little girl, you actually believe that I cleared the Dungeon?" Leo asked.

"I'm not a little girl, and yeah, I do believe that you cleared the Dungeon since I'm a mage. I can tell that your Mana is not of an F-Rank."

"... Little Girl, What's your name?"

"My Name is Akari, I'm 19 and I'm a D-Rank Mage under the Lion's Guild. I started hunting three years ago, I suggest you stop calling me little girl."

"Right..."

A Red Status Window appears before Leo.

{Objective: Defeat 50 Enemies}

{Reward: Unknown}

(It still gives me numbers of Enemies I should defeat.)

"Leo, Is something wrong?"

Demonic Beasts come out of hiding and they approach the hunters.

"Here they come, we'll defeat all of them to clear the Dungeon," Walter said.

The hunters are shaken and start to tremble in fear.

"What's wrong guys? You were eccentric before we got here."

The Demonic Beasts draw near.

"Tch, Just watch how a C-Rank Hunter handles it."

Walter charges in for the Demonic beasts and one of them swings at him. He blocks it but the attack sends him back.

"You're just D-Ranks, You're no match for me!"

(I understand why the hunters are shaken, The Numbers are greater than what they expected. And Plus, I sense a greater mana in there. If I don't clear this then I'll be a fraud.)

Leo drops the bags and wraps bandages around his hand. He then slowly walks toward the Demonic beasts.

"Hey Porter! What do you think you're doing?! Stand back!"

"Shut up."

"Grr."

"Inventory, Open. Demon Lord's Bow and Arrow."

{Item Equipped: Demon Lord's Bow and Arrow}

"Lightning Magic: Thunder Arrow rain."

{Lightning Manipulation Skill Activated}

Leo shoots multiple arrows and they rain down on the Demonic beasts.

"You're all too weak."

'That was lightning magic? I thought only mages were capable of elemental-based spells.' Akari thought to herself.

'He defeated them with a Cinch, Is this guy really an F-Rank?' Walter asked himself.

"Woah, that F-Rank defeated that much all on his own." The Hunters Murmur amongst themselves.

"What are you guys doing? The boss still remains. Let's go."

They now all walk towards the Boss's Layer.

"You were amazing Leo, I didn't think you'd kill all those Demonic beasts in a flash."

(The status Window has been hovering before and no one has noticed it. I guess it was only meant for that Dungeon.)

They arrive at the Boss's Layer, and there is a Green Orc surrounded by 20 Goblins.

"You were amazing the last time but as the leader of the raid you'll have to leave this to me."

'This orc...' "Status Scan."

Walter charges in for the Goblins and starts slaying them all. The Green Orc appears next to him and swings at him sending him flying.

The Orc appears before him, grabs and slams him to the ground.

"Not bad." Leo said.

Akari hides behind Leo and pulls down her hat to cover her eyes.

(Is she seriously hiding? This Dungeon is just too weak.)

The Orc and the Goblins leap for Leo.

"Item Switch."

Leo cloaks his sword in flames and slashes the Goblins and the orc burning them all away.

"Go to Hell."
