“You knowPru did this,” Alice seethed. “Chop off Thunderbutt’s tail!” Thunderbutt was the barn’s deliberately inaccurate translation of Donnerfeld.

“That won’t help Magik. Please think of something!”

“Okay. I’ll be over soon.”

Fenella despondently washed her horse and threw an oversized blanket on him to hide his minimalist locks.

Other owners arrived and greeted their whinnying horses. Someone yelled, “Got stiff competition today, Pru!”

Prudence’s voice replied, “I don’t think so!”

So she had done it. Spiteful cat!

Then, hearing Alice’s voice, Fenella opened Magik’s door and whipped her friend inside. “Any ideas yet?”

Alice held up a plastic Wal-Mart bag and explained her plan.

“You’re kidding!” gasped Fenella.
