1 Chapter 1 - Coincidence or Not

"Hey Doc! What's up with your experiment lately? Did you succeed in your pursue of recreating the ancient dinosaur?" A petite woman in her early 20s said. "No no no. not yet. I just need a little time and budget so I can finish this dream of mine." An old white-haired man with a long beard said. This white-haired old man named Alex, is a Doctor specialized in DNAs and biological nature of animals. He worked for almost 50 yrs in this field and in pursuit of his life-long wish, which is to recreate extinct animals from DNA. He spent half of his life with this so he does not have wife and children. All he had is this petite woman named Annie, who happens to be his apprentice.

"Hey Annie! Where are you going after I'm gone into this world? You know, you can't stay with me all the time right?" said Alex. "Don't say that Doc! you will live a hundred more years or so." said Annie while smiling. "You know Annie, my pursuit don't have to be yours too. Ever since I am a child, I always wonder why animals go extinct. Why can't we prevent that? I am fascinated by the fact that there are many kinds of animals. How I wish I can see that day that I will be able to see them with my own two eyes." Alex said while sighing.

You are still young. Find your passion, find a guy and marry one. "You don't have to be the same as me.But I'm still glad that you are always here with me helping with my tasks." said Alex. "Enough with your emotional speech Doc, let me grab some lunch and I will buy the same meal for you." Annie said with a stuck-out tongue. She immediately open the door and walk out of the lab as Alex is left speechless and soon a smile is seen in his face. "That child! am I going soft on her this days?" he said while tilting his head lift and right. He walks and suddenly remember about something. "Oh right! I must take a look at my latest experiment, I hope it succeeds this time." he said. Alex is now on his Lab 1, so he must walk for about 5-10 minutes in order to get into his Lab 2 which is where his latest experiment is being held. He opens the door and immediately he can feel the sun on his skin. It is now noon in summer season, so it is expected to feel the heat of the sun. As a doctor, he rarely goes out in this hour due to his nature of work. "Damn! I forgot to bring my umbrella, why is it so hot today. Now I suddenly hates summer".he said as he heads for the next building which is Lab 2 located.

He spent 5 minutes of walking and one can see that he is already sweating from all over his body. "Phewwww. What a hot day to go outdoors. Next time, maybe I should request a tunnel to be build in between the 2 Laboratories." he said, as he wipe the sweat in his forehead. Suddenly, he noticed that it became dark. He wonders if this is a miracle from heaven or what. He look up to the sky and all the next thing he could see is all black. Like a game when its game over. It became completely black. And just like that, Alex died on a meteorite that falls out of the sky. The same way the dinosaurs die, as they say. Coincidence or not?

World of Tamera.

Continent of Abaxua, 12th Kingdom, Ox Academy, 1st day of the 11th month of the year 0003.

(The year 0003 is equal to year 3000 in gregorian calendar in Earth.)

A girl and a boy is conversing about something. "Hey Nathan! Did you hear about yesterday?" the girl ask Nathan. "What is it?" Nathan responded. I heard that someone is heavily injured trying to take the baby of a Berserker Ape." she said. "What?! Is he insane? Berserker Apes are the most violent creatures out there and are almost a peak wild beast in our kingdom." Nathan replied.

Wild Beasts in this world are classified according to their strengths, Berserker Ape for example is a level 9 beast which is one step away from being a level 10 which is considered a peak beast in this Kingdom.

"I heard he is very desperate on taming high level beast because of the incoming exam 5 months from now." the girl quickly explained. "He must be very desperate for promotion to higher academy since they receive better treatment there." Nathan said with a face full of sympathy. It is a given since according to the rules for promotion. One must have a tamed wild beast that can defeat at least a level 8 wild beast. And it is already the minimum requirement for the promotion. This is a world where the strong eats the weak.

Meanwhile in one of the rooms in the dormitory of the academy, a gray-haired boy starting to wake up. "Where am I? I must be dead a few seconds ago. Even dinosaurs die on that. Why am I still alive? Is this the so called heaven?" Alex said while inspecting his surroundings. This is Alex now, a few moments later, he was hit by a meteorite and is deader than dead. He transmigrated in the body of Asul, a student of the Ox Academy. Asul's original body owner died because of the grevious injury suffered while trying to take the baby of the Berserker Ape.

"Wait a minute? What is this in my hand? Did I transmigrate or something? Why did'nt I remember a thing in this body? Why I only remembers my past life memories?" Alex asked this questions in his head. After a few minutes. He tried to calm down and clear up his mind. "Maybe the best thing I should do is to find information about this world first. And the best place to find it is on the library." he said in his mind while walking towards the door. And suddenly, he noticed while glancing in the mirror that his clothes had many holes and scratch marks all over the place. Many bruises and lacerations in his skin.He wonders if what has happened in this boys body to sustain such injury and disheveled clothing. So he stops approaching the door and change his clothing first and do some basic first aid of himself. Then, he would ask directions of where is the nearest clinic or hospital if there is one and then go to the library to gather information.
