Chapter 14
Thinking back to her dad, her eyes gave way as tears dropped out without any difficulties. Holding her heart and taking out her cell phone from her bag, she unlocked it and the first thing she always saw on her screen was the picture she took with her day at the airport the day he was going for his business trip.
Little did she know that it was going to be the last time that she was ever to go to see him or feel his warm embrace and caresses on her hair.
" I miss you so much daddy, you can't even imagine how much", her words came out while she zoomed on the wall of the phone to have a clearer view of his face. Her sobbing had attracted Gael who was looking for a perfect opportunity to be able to approach her and just when he had the opportunity, he approached her as he placed a handkerchief in her face
Yvonne took up her head to catch a glimpse of the person who, the person who was in front of her offering such a kind gesture, she was amazed as she saw Gael.
"You?", she asked in a fierce tone wondering what he is was doing at the beach. Gael smiling at her, he nodded inquiring what the matter was. Yvonne could not believe that he was right there in the same place as her. She could not bear it anymore as she felt that it was no longer a coincidence.
Rising to her feet, she asked him whether he was tailing her but Gael let out a laugh and responded,
" Do not fool yourself you are not that beautiful nor important for me to be following you around spoilt brat".
His words were like poison to her ears and she could not bear the second humiliation that she was receiving from him just in one day. Not noticing the little hole that was behind her, Yvonne told Gael to back off and give him a spiteful look, she turned immediately to leave him there alone, but without any stamina, she unexpectedly slumped in the little hole that was created by some kids in the sand.
She let out a shout thinking that she had fallen but Gael who was very smart, rushed to her and with just one hand, he cut her up. His arm supported her body and he was wowed by how soft she was.
"How can a lady have such delicate skin at her age, I can tell that she is really from a wealthy family", his mind narrowed and Yvonne looking at him while gulping the lump that had formed in her throat making swallowing difficult, she stared at Gael and his gaze too was planted in hers.
The moment was special that Yvonne was feeling things that she had never felt before. Her lips suddenly started moving funnily while her heartbeat had increased and she had no explanation for that.
" Are you hurt?", he asked concerned but Yvonne not being able to respond to him, shook her head instead.
"I knew it, I was certain that a lady wastage reason why he was rejecting me", Lisa murmured from behind, and without further flurry, she walked up to them yelling out like a madwoman.
" I was certain that a lady was the reason why you were behaving like this towards me Gael", she spoke out giving Yvonne a repulsive gape. Not understanding what was going on, Yvonne did not want any trouble so she quickly took his hands off her waist while she bent down to pick up her things but Lisa being a ghetto girl, pushed her to the ground.
"Oh, my God, my leg is broken", she cried out and Gael who could not take the madness that Lisa was showcasing, had to do the most horrible thing that he had promised his mom not to do to any lady.
" She is not even as beautiful as me Gael, so what attracted you to her?", she inquired and at that time, Yvonne confirmed that her day was set for bad luck. Her eyes took a look at Lisa and indeed she was very beautiful. Her beauty was not ordinary while her curves were such a great deal.
His right hand gathered her left jaw with a force that Lisa could not endure while causing Yvonne to shake from the ground where she was.
Her legs lost their stamina and her body touched the ground just from the effect of that terrible slap that she had received.
Yvonne could not believe her eyes when she saw the slap that Gael had landed on her cheek and not realizing that they were already on camera, she lowered her head in shame but her leg was kind If hurting her to even get up.
" You slapped me babe?", she asked in wonder but Gael told her not to address him like that, told her to go back home mad leave him alone.
"Is this guy serious, is he doing this because of me or was he already having problems with his girlfriend?", she inquire but they were no answer that was coming up in her kind.
" Is it because of this low-life bitch that you have the guts to slap me?", she questioned but Gael was no longer with her, as he walked closer to Yvonne wanting to know whether she was hurt.
Lisa not being able to take the humiliation, pounced on Yvonne but Gael held her hands and pulled her away screaming,
"It is over between me and you Lisa and I have told you this countless times. If you know what is good for you, never you approach me again or hurt this lady because she is the one I love now so get that into your thick skull".
Everyone bucked up in happiness as they clapped out to his firm decision. They all did not even know what was happening but they were clapping hard for him.
