A deep kiss

"Damn it!" she complained angrily.

Lucas grabbed the shower head and ruthlessly washed her body, ignoring her anger."Has the water temperature cooled down a bit?"

"You! Ah!" The hot water made Grace gasp in surprise.

Lucas quietly watched Grace struggle under the water column, a faint smile on his lips and a hint of warmth in his deep eyes that he had not even noticed.

Eventually, the huge bathtub was filled with water and bubbling. It was a fully automatic hot spring style bath.

"What exactly are you doing?" She was so angry that her eyes were blurry and she was about to cry.

Lucas reached out and pushed the button next to the tub. The cabinet next to him opened automatically and lowered to a position within his reach. He took the red wine and tall glasses from the cabinet and slowly poured a glass. He picked up the magazine next to him, took a sip of the red wine, and looked at the magazine before speaking softly.

"Don't make any noise, be quiet."

Grace broke into a cold sweat and took a long breath, feeling somewhat disappointed for some reason.

Under my heart I cursed myself for having the wrong nerve, why do I always have wild thoughts? But I heard Lucas breathe a sigh of relief and say something.

"The fever has finally broken."

Grace blinked in confusion and saw the fresh sunlight streaming in from behind the curtains outside the window. It turned out to be daylight.

She had slept so deeply that she didn't even know if she had slept that long or if she was in bed with a man.

"I have... a fever?" She lowered her long lashes, afraid to look at him.

I didn't feel any discomfort in my body either. Although I was sore all over, it wasn't because of the pain I felt afterwards. She felt as if she had really caught a cold.

"Yesterday at the swimming pool, when I picked you up, you had a fever.

"Is that why you let me take a shower?" Grace exclaimed in surprise.

"Otherwise, you think?" He raised his eyebrows and glared at her.

Grace's tongue was tied and she bit her lips tighter, unsure of what to say. There are very few people in her world who care about her. Looking at the handsome and incomparable face of the man in front of her, she suddenly felt a warmth in her heart.

She wanted to say"thank you," but when it came out, she bit her lip again.

"He was talking nonsense too," Lucas rubbed his forehead with some weariness.

"Talking nonsense? Like what?" That's too embarrassing, isn't it?

"You said I was very handsome," he replied calmly, without a hint of pleasure at the praise. Obviously, he had always been confident in his looks.

Grace swallowed a fly and said,"How could you?"

"I said it." Lucas suddenly leaned forward, supporting his head with one hand, and looked at Grace beside him. An evil smile appeared on his lips."You said..."

"Say, say... what?" Grace quickly grabbed the blanket and covered half of her face. She had never been a flower-obsessed girl, how could she say such nonsense when she had a high fever.

He waited anxiously for him to continue, but he had nothing to say.

"What did I say again?" She waited anxiously.

"It's nothing," Lucas sat up and gave Grace a beautiful man with a charming back.

Grace quickly closed her eyes, afraid to look around.

Lucas slowly turned back and looked at Grace's ashamed expression as she covered the blanket, her lips curling unconsciously. She held his big hand and placed it on her hot face last night, calling out"comfortable" and mumbling in a daze.

"If I could marry such a handsome and wealthy man in the future, it would be great."

Lucas' deep eyes narrowed slightly, and suddenly he pushed Grace under him. He pulled away the blanket covering her cheeks, revealing her flushed face and clear, spring-like eyes.

"Little woman, do you want to cling to me?"

"No way!" Grace replied quickly.

"The last time was a transaction, so what is this time?" His look added a hint of doubt.

"I'm here... to get the diamond back." Grace bit her lip and struggled to speak, feeling inexplicably hurt by the suspicion in his eyes.

She felt her heart must be sick, or it wouldn't keep sending the wrong signals.

"Indeed, it is tangled." He chuckled softly, stubbornly determined by his thoughts.

"I gave the ring to the wrong person, so I should have gone back!" Grace wanted to push him away, but he insisted on holding her.

Lucas's eyes cooled and his voice sounded slowly,"Now that you're in my bed, I should have wanted you too."

"Mmm!"

The next second, his thin lips kissed hers.
