Chapter eight: billionaire Andrew

"You what!" Jane shouted at her father.

"Yes! I sent them!" billionaire Andrew yelled back at his daughter, Jane.

"But why….. Do you that I could have been in jail, if not of our family influences in this city" Jane said in a calm submissive tone.

Billionaire Andrew trys to speak but he got choked, he coughed hard, pounding his chest and he started going down to the ground gradually.

Jane rushed grab him from dropping totally to the ground.

"Dad! Dad!! Dad!!! Don't do this to me please…. Help!! Help!!!!! Help!!!!!!!" Jane shouted.

The butlers and security men heard the shout and ran into the parlor and saw billionaire Andrew gasping for air.

"What happened?" one of the security men asked

"I just choked" Jane answered, with tears in her eyes.

"So what are we going to do?" butler asked.

"Stop asking me stupid questions and get water or something!" Jane yelled at the butler.

The butler and some servants rushed to the nearest fridge to get a bottle of water, on their way back, Jane shouted "hurry!!! You guys are too slow, I wonder how you were hired!". The butler and the servants came running and apologize for their false delay.

Jane snatched the bottle of water from the butler rudely but with speed. "Here you go" Jane said, gently pouring the cold bottle of water into her father's, billionaire Andrew's mouth.

"Do you need your pills?" Jane said, she was about to send one of the servants to fetch his cytoxan pills, when billionaire Andrew, signaled her not to.

"So are you feeling better now?" Jane asked

"Yeah I am" billionaire Andrew said, as he gently gets up to his feet with the help of his daughter and the security men.

"So now that you have cancer and you are still want to raise your voice and that made you cough hard, you got me scared, please don't do that again" Jane said, with relief in her voice.

"I'm sorry dear, I just wanted to let you know that what you did was dangerous and that's why I sent policemen to watch over you" billionaire Andrew said, as he seats down on the couch.

"I am sorry dad" Jane said.

"And by the way I am not that old" billionaire Andrew said, with a smile on his face.

"Dad, you are 70 years old" Jane replied.

"Alright guilty, (billionaire Andrew signaled the butler and servants to leave but his personal bodyguard stayed back) one more thing, did you see his face or know the suspect?" billionaire Andrew asked

"No, I don't know who he is, he had…. He covered his face" Jane said, avoiding the eyes of her father.

"Okay dear, you can go and rest, you look tired" billionaire Andrew said, Jane Concord and stood up and walk towards the stairs.

"How is your company doing?" billionaire Andrew asked in a slightly high tone.

Jane turned and said "we are going great, I will tell you more about it tomorrow". Jane continued her journey through the stairs to her room leaving her handbag behind on the couch, were her father, billionaire Andrew sat.

Billionaire Andrew stood up and took a bottle of whisky that was on the table and poured it into a glass cup that was being brought by the butler during the previous incidence.

Billionaire Andrew sips the drink gently and reached into his pocket and brought out his cigar. As he was about to light it, one of his maid rushed in and said "Sir, you have a visitor"

"Let him in" billionaire Andrew said, holding his lite cigar on the right and whiskey on the left hand standing with boldness facing the parlor entry point.

Surprisingly, police commissioner Reynold came in, "I can't believe your maids are treating me like a stranger"

"Odd, but you didn't tell me that you are coming," billionaire Andrew said, with a cold look in his eyes.

"Sorry Sir, but it is important" commissioner Reynold said, with a strong will showing in his eyes to have a conversation with billionaire Andrew.

"Okay have a seat" billionaire Andrew said, pointing to the couch with his lit cigar and he took his seat.

Police commissioner Reynold sat down and said "I'm a police officer and my instincts tell me that something happened here, what's happening?", as he looked around, he spotted the bottle of water and its contents on the floor.

"Yeah, umm…. When my daughter, Jane got back, she started to ask me questions, after I told her that I sent the policemen to spy on her. And if I let her continue questioning me, she will dig into my other activities, so I have to fake a scene, a health issue scene and that made her stop questioning me and started to feel emotional and when the show is over she went straight to her room and forgot all what happened" billionaire Andrew said, as he smiles and take a sip of his whisky and puff his cigar looking at police commissioner Reynold.

"That is brilliant Sir, but did she tell you who the man, suspect is? Police commissioner Reynold asked.

"No she didn't but I know what to do" billionaire Andrew said, as he smiled and looked at his personal bodyguard stand beside him.

"Okay sir, but do you know anybody that will want to ruin you by stealing the diamond necklace?" police commissioner Reynold asked.

"No, not at all. I took care of my enemies long time ago and there is none of them remaining" billionaire Andrew said, as he puff his cigar and takes another sip of his whisky.

"Okay, then, I will put all the police resources together to catch this guy" police commissioner Reynold said, assuring billionaire Andrew and Reynold mistakenly pressed jane's handbag that was on the couch behind him, when he realized, he kept it on the center table in the parlor.

Billionaire Andrew ordered his bodyguard to pour commissioner Reynold a glass of whisky and he offered him a cigar, from his pack, when Reynold collected the cigar from his hand, he said "I thought you stopped smoking?" he asked.

"Let me say some bad habits can not go away" poilce commissioner Reynold replied and they both laughed.

Meanwhile, as jane's handbag sat on the center table and the flimflam men discuss and Merry, they did not know that mike installed a little microphone, with a micro transmitter, which aids him to hear everything billionaire Andrew and his Associates police commissioner Reynold discussed.

From his anonymous location and his seat of comfort, Mike said "You took care of all your enemies right? I think you forgot one and that's me".
