CHAPTER 14

　　I ran out of my room quickly and saw Susie in the sitting room with Brenda having another show-off? This was becoming way too much and annoying, I thought as I raced towards them.

　　"What is going on here?" I asked once I had successfully raced down through the stairs.

　　"Nothing, we're just having fun," Susie replied grinning mischievously.

　　I saw how Brenda narrowed her eyes at her, "Fun?"

　　Yeah, it doesn't look like they were having fun from the scream I heard from my room.

　　"What did you do, Susie?" I asked her in a tight voice.

　　She rolled her eyes at me, "Nothing?"

　　Brenda gave an exasperated sigh, "Your friend thought it was funny to put a dead cockroach in my shoes!"

　　I glared at Susie as she chuckled but kept a straight face the moment she caught my eye.

　　"I'm so sorry that she put in a dead cockroach, Mrs. Lowell." I would have preferred a live one but I kept quiet.

　　She huffed angrily and walked off while I dragged Susie into my room.
