Chapter 361: We would find a way out of this mess

" What??? " Hazel almost screamed as she turned around and stared at her elder brother. " You did what? you lowered your level to stalk a woman? that is indeed surprising " Hazel said.

" It did not end with stalking... " Nicole cut him short.

" Ray, come on what are you saying? " Nicole said as she tapped him.

Raymond looked at her then he bent down and sniffed her ears " I also got beaten, she did beat me and I am happy that it worths it now because she is mine " Raymond said and Nicole blushed.

" Come in, she is blushing " Hazel said laughing out hard.

" Wow Nicole, you are a genius but please do not hurt him, he still needs all his body parts, you can continue smacking his ass " Hazel tells Nicole.

" He needs go work for it and he knows that " Nicole said as she stared at Raymond and smiled.

" Alright, I will head out from here, please you guys should be really careful..... Leonard is striking any thing from tomorrow, I can now sleep a little because I have informed you " Hazel said as she put on a face cap and mask.

" Alright, drive safe okay " Raymond said to his sister.

He would not lie but he was happy to see her again, it had been going to seven months since he did not see any of his family members, he was happy to see her.

" Hazel? " Nicole called and she turned around to know why Nicole called her.

" Mmmh?? " 

" Thank you for this, it really means alot you know " Nicole appreciated.

" Do not worry about it, if I was the one, I am sure you would help out as well " Hazel said and nodded her heard as she headed out of the house.

" Good night "

" Be careful!. " Hazel turned around and said as the nodded their head.

She walks out and headed straight to her car. 

Raymond takes a deep breath as he slumps on the couch " Leonard is more heartless and dangerous than I thought.... what do we do now? " he asked Nicole who had stood quietly at a spot without moving.

She seemed to be thinking things out " we are not going to do any thing? " She responds.

Raymond's stared at her surprised, he wondered what was going on up there in her head " Are you sure about that? " He asked wanting her to be sure.

" Yeah, think of it_ there is absolutely nothing we can do now, I am not using the company as an excuse but if we run away..... I am not afraid but I am certain that your step brother will begin to take the people I love just to get me and once they get me, you will surely get out to find me " Nicole explained as she walked up to him and sat down beside him.

Raymond sighs as he thinks about what she said to him.

" Leaving here is an advantage but we also need to check out for the disadvantages " she added resting her back on the couch.

" Yeah, that is exactly right_ you really calculated this, I was only thinking about what was going to be best for us and I am so sorry for putting you through this " Raymond said apologizing to her.

" You do not have to apologize, I am always here with you and my only request is that you do not leave me for some one else " Nicole requested.

Raymond was mute for a while, he shut his eyes and took a deep breath " heyyy, I promise you that I would never leave you, only death can separate us in this life " he assured her as he enclosed her hands with his tightly.

Nicole smiled and nodded her head.

" All we have to do is wait for him to get us then we would know what to do next " she said.

" How are you sure that if he gets any of us.... how are you sure that we would get away without been harmed? " Raymond asked curiously.

" You do not have to worry about that, I trust my instincts " Nicole said boldly.

" Come on, that's enough for tonight _ I have heard alot of things in a space of just ten hours, let's go to bed " Nicole urged as she stood up and held her hand out to Raymond.

Helping him gain balance, they both walked through the stair case to their room.

Luca stood transfixed to the group, his fists were clenched by his sides, looking above his shoulders he stared at his phone screen which was lying on the table close to him, he sighed. ' Where in Christ's name are you? ' he asked him self.

His heart raced in his chest as he averted his gazed from his phone and looked at the clock despite the fact that the time was clearly showing on his phone screen. 

It was past eleven and his little sister was not back yet, she had rushed over to the office when she got a call and since then she had not returned neither had he received a message from her.

He had thought of going to the hospital to look around for her but he held him self from acting in accordance to his will.

What he found weird was that one part of him was calm and believed that Jessica was alright and other part of him was so tensed up.

He moved up a few steps towards the couch and slumped on it, seconds later he dozed off.

He had a tough day at work, right from when Gavriel had travelled on a trip, the work load for the employees became stressful.

Jessica passed through the door and shut it behind her, she pulled off her shoes and put on a flip flop_ the look on her face could tell that she had a bad day as well.

She walks in and stumble on her brother lying on the couch sleeping ' ohh, he must have been waiting for me ' Jessica says as she sits beside him.

" Luca " she says softly as she taps him on his laps.

" Hey, wake up_ I am back " she says as Luca yawns and slowly opened his eyes.

" I slept off " he says.

" Where were you all day, you did not reach me and I could not reach you as well " Luca says to her as he adjusted him self in to a more comfortable position.

Jessica sighs as she unzips her bag and slip her hand in to it, she takes out her phone directing it to her brother's face.

" I am so sorry, the battery ran out and there was no where to have it charged " she explains.

" It's alright, what really happened? I mean you rushed out after that phone call, is every thing alright? " Luca asked as he clenched his fist and took it closer to his mouth while he yawn.

He turned to his side to have a clearer veiw of her, she was mute " did some thing happen? why are your eyes dull? did you cry? tell me.... what happened? " Luca asked at the same time.

He was extremely worried for his sister, she was the only one he had and he would not allow some thing bad to happen to her and he would not let any one provoke her.

Jessica fully rests her head on the couch as she dropped her phone on the couch beside her and shuts her eyes " I lost my job " she says finally opening up to him.

Luca could swear that the moment he heard her say that, he could swear that the remaining atom of sleep in his eyes disappeared.

" What!!!! how did that happen? what really happened? " Luca asked, he could not believe that she had just lost her dream job.

She has always wanted to work for the hospital and then she got the opportunity to but now she had lost it.

" You remember the court case I told you about? " Jessica asked.

" Yes, I do..... does the hospital incident have a connection with you loosing your job? " Luca asked.

" Funny enough yes, I had never expected to loose my job because I thought that it would not affect me because I have nothing to do with the death of the woman and then, today I was extremely shocked to see that I lost my job " Jessica explained.

" How ever I am thankful " she added.

Luca turned instantly and glared at her.

" What did you say? " He asked wanting to be cleared.

" You know I did not send you abroad to study so you could tell be that you are thankful " Luca shunned her.

He placed his hand on her shoulder " come on, tell me what happened " he urged her to speak to him.

" Luca, I have no idea how it happened, I had even though that the case was closed until I got a call today from my colleague, you know I was not the only one who lost my job, we all who worked at the hospital lost our jobs and those who took care of the surgery had their license withdrawn and the hospital shut down, you have no idea_ that is a blow on my face " Jessica explained to her brother.

Luca felt her pain even though he was not feeling exactly what she was feeling but he knew that a part of her pain was as a result of not go to be able to get another job so easily.

" You know that I can not get another job right because the government has a hand in my misfortune...... this is so bad, barely when I thought that I had started my life, but I just lost it in a twinkling of an eye and that is so bad " Jessica insinuated.

" I am doomed! " She added, she felt so unfortunate at this point.

She had always had her ways with things but at this point she was left with nothing.

Luca said nothing other than staring at her, he could not express his pain in front of her , else he might end up scaring her more and cause her more pain.

He could understand that it was not his sister's fault but then he had always been responsible for her, he spent all the money he had for his education on her because she wanted to study a more professional course and the cost of tuition was that of his and hers together_ he could not watch his sister pained because she could not study what she wanted.

He gave up on his dreams, his life and future just for his sister's sake, for her to be a better person and be happy of course she made him proud by graduating with flying colors but now it was all to no good because at this point she had lost almost every thing and the only thing she could do was to pick up the pieces.

To him two dreams were killed with one stone or would he say multiple stones, his life and that of his sister was just down just like that.

He took a deep breath and drew his sister closer to him self, embracing her, her clothes was already drenched with tears " Jess, this is not the end of the world okay! we still have a life to live and we should be grateful for that, I believe some day we would get back on our feets " he said encouraging words to her that he could not believe he was saying and if actually some one was telling him that, he would be so upset with that person but he had no choice.

His sister was down and he could not be down as well at least he still had his secured position as a receptionist at the Seamus group of companies, which he was not sure was secured enough because soon there would be a change and he hopes that it will still be secured after the change.

He was lucky and opportuned to work as a receptionist with just his high school certificate... Gavriel had decided to give him a chance and after the great help Gavriel had rendered to him, he could never bring him self to believe that Gavriel was a bad man even though he hurt people in his presence... he always believed that there was a kind soul inside of him.

" Luca, where do I start from? I never expected this to happen to me... and I never wished it for any one so why me??? " Jessica cried so hard as she lamented.

" We will start from some where, we must find a way and I believe that we would find a way out of this mess " Luca assured her.

" Have you had any thing for dinner yet? " He asked her as he adjusted her hair staring in to her teary glittering eyes.

She adjusted her self as she got in to a more comfortable position on her brother's chest, she had no one to lean to other than her brother and he was the best brother she could ever ask for.

In her next life, she would wish to have him as a father and brother at the same time.

' Luca, I am so sorry, I know you are hurting but here you are consoling me for loosing my job..... I will find us a way out of this creepy mess soon, just wait a little longer ' she said to her self, she knew that she was not supposed to bother her brother too much because he had his own problems and she could tell that he was really upset about what he had just heard.

" Yeah, I had dinner with my colleagues, though we did not have the appetite to eat, we just had little..... so I guess I am okay for tonight, what about you? " She asked him as she patted his chest.

" That is nice, at least you had some thing as for me i had some slice of bread and beacon, I was waiting for you to get back so we could eat some thing nicer but I do not think i have appetite for it any more, we should just go to bed " Luca said.

" Sure, I am pretty sure that you had a lot g day as well, it would be nice if we just go to bed and you need to go to work tomorrow right? " Jessica asked, she raised her head from his chest and stared at him.

He adjusted " yeah, I think so " he responded.

He pulled him self up as he got up from the couch and stretched " go to bed okay, I will be in my room " he said to her as he picked up his phone and walked out of the sitting room.

As he was walking to his room, he felt so weak and was not sure of he was going to be able to handle work, he only thought of one person.
