Chapter 311: Table turn

 " You should go home now- I can take care of myself " Zoey said to Phillip as she walked in to her apartment.

Phillip was not okay with what she said, he knew that she needed some one by her side at this moment.

" Please allow me to sleep over for night, it is too late already and I do not think I can go home " Phillip lied.

All he wanted to do was stay with her for the night.

" But where will you sleep? " Zoey asked.

" I can manage the sofa " Phillip responded as he stretched his neck to looked in to the house from above her shoulders.

" Can I come in? " Phillip asked.

" Sure come in " Zoey replied as she made way for him to pass through.

' thank goodness this house is not a mess, how would i have known that Phillip will sleep over at my house tonight ' Zoey said to her self.

" Are you not coming in or would you rather stand there staring in to the empty space? " Phillip asked when he noticed Zoey looked out but nothing was there.

' I am certainly sure that she is lost again ' Phillip said to him self.

" I am sorry about that, I was just think.... " Zoey said but Phillip Interrupted her.

" It is okay, I have no issues with it " Phillip said immediately.

" Any way I was not telling you because you had issues with it " Zoey said as she twitched her lips.

' what! ' 

" Whatever " Zoey added as she picked up her bag from the table.

" I will get some clothes for you to change in to " Zoey said as she made her way in to her room.

" No, there is no need for that- I am perfectly okay " Phillip said as he sat on the sofa.

He could see Zoey stared at him from the corner of his eyes but all that did not matter as far as he was there with her after all he had showered before he left for the club.

" If you say so " Zoey said as she turned around to leave.

She had just taken five steps and then she stopped immediately.

" Would you like to have dinner before she retire to bed or the sofa? I could quickly prepare some thing for you- infact I do not need your permission, I will be back to prepare dinner for the both of us " she said and all he could do was nod his head.

" It is obvious that I am starving " Zoey said as she walked into her room.

Phillip made him self comfortable, he was also at alert because he knew for a fact that guys who tends to cut off ties with their partner will always come later at night to apologize and he did not want that to happen knowing full well how much Zoey loves Bryan.

He brought out his phone and swiped through trending feeds, it was his daily routine.

Just then his eyes caught a captivating headline.

CEO GAVRIEL IN SOUTH KOREA

He tapped on the headline to see through more information.

He saw various photos of the CEO and of course Tina by his side.

" This totally explains their absence in the office " Phillip said to himself.

" I do not want to believe you are insane, like how do you comfortable talk to your self? " Zoey asked.

She had a quick shower and was putting on a pyjamas as she packed her hair in to a messy ponytail. 

" It is obvious that I am not insane, I just found the answer to your question about Mr Gavriel's and Tina's absence from the office " Phillip said as turned the direction of his phone and stretched his hand to Zoey's face.

" Wow, he never informed us and that is unlike him " Zoey said as she walked into the kitchen.

" It does not mean any thing " Phillip responded as she switched off his phone screen and rested his head on the sofa edge.

Minutes later, Zoey was through with preparing dinner and she arranged the dish on the dinning.

" Phil, dinner is ready! " Zoey said as she walked back in to the kitchen.

" That was fast " Phillip said as he got up and stretched his bones then walked up to the dinning table.

" This smells nice " Phillip complimented.

" Can you just sit and eat rather that acting so nice- it's not like you have never eaten my dish " Zoey said as she sat on one of the chairs as she dished out the recipes into different plates.

Phillip sat down as well as he waited for her to serve the dishes.

" After all, you know I am best chef " Zoey added as she smiled brightly.

The pain in her eyes was no longer seen as her eyes glittered with joy.

' it seems like she is not feeling bad again- I hope she is putting her self together! ' Phillip said to him self as he stared at her.

" I know what you are thinking about right now and please do not bother saying it okay " Zoey said as she handed the cutleries over to him and sat down.

" Hmmm? " Phillip sighed anxiously as he wondered when she began to read people's mind.

" I am really trying my best not to cry because after going through everything that happened I found out that he doesn't know my worth and it would be of no help to me if I keep on crying because he broke my heart and my trust as well... he does not deserve my tears and I would not bother my self about him " Zoey said as she picked up the pen knife and started to cut the meat into peices.

" I am really broken now and crying would not help, I should have just listened to you guys earlier but I just also had trust in Bryan because I loved him but now there is nothing like love in me any more because all men are the same " Zoey added as she put a handful of food in to her mouth.

Phillip stood up from where he was sitting and walked up to her.

" I totally understand how it hurts but you have to hold on to your self- work on a better you and focus more on your self "

" Go on vacations, travel around the world to places you have always wanted to go to, get those fanciful products you ha e always wanted, be happy- relationships are not supposed to take away your joy or deprive you from doing those things you want to do " Phillip said to Zoey as he bent down at hugged her from her back and she shuddered_ she was not expecting that at all.

" Yeah, I will- I guess I made a mistake before but that would not happen again " Zoey assured as she placed her hands on Phillip hand and nodded her head.

" Are you not going to have some thing before it gets totally cold? " Zoey asked and Phillip sighed.

He walked up to where he was sitting and carried his dish, then he walked back to where Zoey was sitted and he sat on a chair close to her.

" Are you okay? " Zoey asked as she was thrilled about his recent attitude towards her.

" Yes I am, I just feel the need to sit here " Phillip said and Zoey stared at him for a minute and nodded.

They ate in silence for a while, after which Zoey began to clear the dishes as she placed them into the dish washer.

" Good night " Zoey said when she stepped out of the kitchen, after she had finished washing the dishes.

She looked so tired and exhausted.

" You are going to bed now? " Phillip asked and Zoey nodded her head.

" It was indeed a long day today and I want to get some quality sleep before dawn " Zoey said as she subconsciously yawned and Phillip smiled.

He walked closer to her and cupped her face in his hands as he kissed her good night on her forehead.

" Sleep tight " Phillip said.

" And you too, make sure you get enough rest and you get getting suspicious by the day " Zoey said.

" You can say that again hahaha " Phillip said as he laughed calmly.

" Whatever, do your thing! " Zoey said as she disengaged her self from Phillip as she began walking towards her room.

Shortly after she turned around calling Phillip.

" Phillip!!! " Zoey called and Phillip stared at her to know why she was calling him.

" Thank you for what you did for me out there- I really appreciate " Zoey appreciated and Phillip smiled.

" It is okay- I will be always here when you need me " Phillip assured Zoey as she nodded and retired to her room.

Phillip felt so happy when he heard her appreciate him, it meant alot to him and he was pretty sure that this was just the beginning and he wouy do every thing within his powers to make sure that she is always happy and eventually tables may turn around.
