Chapter 31: Fixing the picture

" Okay, go on I am all ears " Annabelle replied as she typed on the keyboard make it give out some annoying sounds he did not like.

" Ana, you promised me that I would have lunch with you, please can we go now, at least it is lunch time " Luca pleaded as he used his other hand to arranged his already silky hair which had a nice texture.

" Really, is that the reason you are acting so childish, Luca " Anabelle said as she laughed out loud as she got up from her chair.

" Yes, No,I did not do that because of you, I just wanted you to notice my new hair style but I think I was wrong, so I am sorry for showing you " Luca explained as he got up and walked towards the exit when Anabelle ran to him and held his shoulders.

" Luca, where are you going?, you just got here and you are leaving already " Anabelle asked subconsciously.

" I thought you wanted to make fun of me so I decided to leave " Luca answered calmly with a blank emotion.

" No I definitely was not making fun of you okay, I was joking " Anabelle said as she took him by the hand.

" Luca, you do not have to be upset about everything, some of those annoying words might be a joke so now let us go for lunch " Anabelle added as she released her grip from his and patted his shoulder indicating that they should leave.

Annabelle picked up her cell phone from her table as she left the office and Luca followed behind her, he was very happy for those words she said to him, she was just like Zoey, his assistant, she always supported and wanted the best of him even when he acted bossy towards her, explained a lot of things to him and always stood for him. But he had another phase of feeling towards Anabelle.

He was so happy and lucky that the women he had in his life worths everything.

They got to the company's canteen and sat down on an empty chair as Anabelle stared at Luca.

" Luca, are you still upset " Anabelle asked because of the look on Luca's face.

" No, I am not upset rather I think I am happy that you are here with me " Luca smiled as he replied.

" Okay, well since we are here and you promised to buy me lunch I would say you can do that now.. you might not get a next time " Anabelle said as she smiled widely at him.

" Okay, but remember that I will always be opportuned for a next time " Luca said courageously as he made a facial expression to Anabelle saying ' you would never know '.

" We will see about that " Anabelle said as Luca laughed and got up from the chair and walk to the counter to order lunch for the both of them.

He came back with a tray filled with different recipes and two bottles of juice as he dropped them on their table and sat down.

" You can eat to your satisfaction and when that happens you would keep running to me me for more free dishes " Luca said as he rubbed his hands in a circular motion.

He kept a glass cup in front of Anabelle while he poured straw berry juice in the glass as he did same to himself.

" Anabelle " Luca called.

" Hey, Luca I am here and you are calling me, what is going on? " Anabelle asked as she picked a fried crayfish from a plate and put in her mouth.

" There is something that just started bothering me, do you mind if I share it with you? " Luca asked as he sip a little amount of the juice in his glass cup.

" Of course, you can tell me but you have to eat first okay? Then after that I would listen to you or would I say I would hear you out, remember food first " Anabelle said as she continued digging into her food and Luca stared at her with his mouth apart.

" Do not tell me that you eat this much and you still have a stature like this, you are a glutton " Luca said with amazement.

" I am not a glutton you know, I just happen to eat till I am fully satisfied so it does not mean I am a glutton, for my shape, I do work outs to maintain my slender body and hey! Luca were you not the one saying you would keep on buying free food for me, why are you now complaining of the fact that I am a glutton? " Anabelle asked as she focused her attention on Luca who was saying that she was a glutton.

Of course she loves to eat but it does not mean that she is a glutton.

" Who cares if you are a glutton, I do not care because all I know is that no matter what you are, I would keep on buying you breakfast, lunch and dinner and I will make sure that you feed to your satisfaction. " Luca claimed.

" Zoey, is that not Luca having lunch with Anabelle? " Phillip asked when he sighted Luca and Anabelle sitted at one corner in the canteen, he wondered what was going on between those two.

" What the heck, that is Luca and Anabelle, let us go and meet them " Zoey said loudly as she smiled deeply.

" You know, Luca is surely going to get to get lunch " Zoey added.

" Okay, if you say so then let us go meet them " Phillip said calmly as they walked towards the table where Luca and Anabelle sitted.

" Hey Luca what's up bro? " Phillip greeted and at the same time asked a question as Luca raised his head and their eyes met.

" Nothing really, having lunch with our lady in charge " Luca answered.

" Hold on Luca, is this a office date or just lunch, because it does not look like an ordinary lunch to me " Zoey butted in.

" Zoey, you can not speak to your senior colleague like that, can you not see that we are having lunch " Anabelle said.

" I am so sorry Anabelle, it just looked like a mini date to me " Zoey said as Anabelle pulled out a chair for her to sit on, of which Zoey sat and Phillip took out a chair for himself as he sat down.

" It is okay, I am not upset, I just wanted to inform you respect is reciprocal, age does not matter who you should respect, so just think about what I told you " Anabelle adviced as she patted Zoey on her hair.

" Okay, I will do just that, thank you " Zoey appreciated.

" Luca, please can you buy lunch for me and Phillip, our stomachs are grumbling " Zoey pleaded as she kept a baby like facial expression that would make anyone fall easily.

" Okay, Phillip, you can follow Zoey to get you guys lunch " Luca said because if he did not accept, Zoey was going to pester him and he did not want that.

" Really Luca, thank you so much, I am so glad to be your assistant " Zoey said joyfully as she got up from her chair.

" You should not pretend here Zoey, just tell us you have gotten what you wanted " Phillip shunned and they all laughed as the both of the went to order for their lunch.

Shortly after, Zoey and Phillip were back with a tray containing thier desired recipe on each of their hands as they kept the tray on the table and started devouring their food, it seems they were so hungry.

" Guy's, have you noticed something lately about Christina, Mr Gavriel's new secretary " Zoey asked as she sipped a large amount of her juice.

" How? What do you mean? " Anabelle asked.

" Have you not noticed it? I thought you were in charge of the employees affairs " Phillip said which made Luca feel disgusted.

" Phillip, we all know that Anabelle is a very busy person in this company, if she does not know what is occurring it is definitely not her fault because the Christina in question just resumed her post today and you guys are already noticing stuffs about her, even if you know something please do not Anabelle like that, she is our superior and has been very nice to us " Luca said truthfully to Phillip as Anabelle got surprised at Luca's reaction towards Phillip.

Anabelle has been doing a great job and has also been nice to the employees working in Seamus Group of Companies, but most importantly, she cherished Luca, Zoey and Phillip. Of course Phillip was right about the fact that she did not know what was going on, because everything felt suspicious to her but Tina resumed today and she have not set her eyes on her since morning maybe that was the reason she did not seem to know what went wrong.

" Guy's let us not fight over this, okay? I am sure we can talk it out, right? " Anabelle asked.

" Yes, Phillip Luca is right, you should not have spoken in that manner so I am not in support of that and Anabelle is also right, we should not fight over stuffs like this, we can always discuss about it " Zoey added as she looked at her feet.

" Okay, Anabelle, I am so sorry, actually I did not think before spilling out those words " Phillip apologized to Anabelle.

" That is okay! I am not upset or something, I just feel we can talk about this together, like everyone would say something about what he or she noticed recently " Anabelle said as she looked from one person to the next person and sipped her juice.

" Absolutely, that is right and Anabelle, I was trying to tell you this earlier but you said food come first " Luca said as Zoey laughed at the way he said ' food comes first '.

" I am serious, that was exactly what she told me " Luca said sincerely.

" Okay, I thought you wanted to tell me something else, so who wants to go first? " Anabelle asked.

" I will " Zoey said.

" Okay " Phillip said.

" This morning when I saw Christina, she looked pale, like she looked like she did not have a good rest and she had dark circles under her eyes " Zoey said as she demonstrated by touching the under of her eyes.

" So what does that have to do with her job? " Anabelle asked looking more interested to hear more.

" Exactly, I do not seem to get your point " Luca said when he could not fix the picture and Phillip nodded in affirmation.

" Exactly but see how that comes into the picture, I overheard Mr Aaron talking to someone on the phone he said ' Mr Gavriel gave the new secretary a contract to sign before she could resume her work here, she said the contract entitled her to be his secretary, house help and submissive ' that was all I could hear before I got a call from my mum " Zoey explained and Anabelle looked so surprised but Luca was not that surprised as well as Phillip who kept an emotionless facial expression.

" What the hell! Christina came to work today which pos..si.bly means that she sig..n..ed the co..ntra..ct " Anabelle stammered.

" Now i get the picture of why she looked so scared when Mr Gavriel called her earlier this morning that was before noon " Luca said as he kept staring at the dishes in front of him.

" Woah, I never thought or expected a thing like this to happen and I actually did not notice anything but I knew something was not right like Mr Gavriel has never employed a secretary here in twenty years and suddenly he employed her but if my brain is still functioning, what I understand about this contract is that she is currently his secretary, and of course his house help which means she is living in the same house with him and as his submissive, she has to submit herself to him, he dominates her and she has no say to whatever Mr Gavriel does to her whether good or bad because that was the contract she signed " Phillip explained.

" Oh my God, this is bad " Anabelle exclaimed as she poured another round of juice in her glass cup.
