Chapter 29: Pains 2

Christina cried as much as she could as she could not hold in her tears back.

Then she stared at her phone screen.

' Gosh, it is almost ten ' Tina exclaimed as she dailed on of the famous bar's contact.

She waited for someone to pick up the call as it was ringing as she pulled her jacket revealing her bare arms because the gown she wore was sleeveless then she placed it on too if her table.

" Hey, McMurray's Bar speaking " Someone said from the other side of the phone as Tina puts the phone close to her ear.

" Good morning, please I would like to make VIP reservations for four " Tina said.

" Okay, I will do that now, by what time is it needed? " the person asked from the other side of the phone.

" In an hour time, just make it nice and perfect, also in a very quiet place " Tina replied as she used her left hand to wipe away the tears from her eyes.

" Okay, I will do just that " the person said.

" Thank you so much, I appreciate " Tina said as she smiled.

" Yeah, you are welcome " the person said and hanged up immediately.

' Phew, thank goddess that was done already ' Tina said to herself as she kept her phone in the table.

Then immediately her phone rang and swiped the green icon as she placed the phone close to her ear.

" Good morning, Park's AI Enterprise secretary speaking " the secretary of Mr Park said in an Asia accent.

" Good morning, I was just about to call you to inform you that the VIP reservation has been made at McMurray Bar " Tina explained.

" Okay, that is perfect, I would inform Mr Park right away and also inform your boss " the secretary said 

" Sure, I will also inform Mr Gavriel " Tina said calmly as she hanged up.

Mr Gavriel followed Tina immediately she left his office, he wanted to give her the contact of the bar he normally have his meetings.

On getting to her office, the door was slightly open and he looked in without going in.

He saw her crying, she was crying so much, so bitterly, it was so bad as she sat on her chair, as she was talking and he heard her loud and clear, she looked depressed and then she picked up her phone and made reservations for the meeting, which was to be held in less than an hour.

When she was done with the reservation, she answered another call, saying ' the VIP reservation has been made at McMurray Bar' ' and after some seconds she hanged up.

Then he saw her used her hands to adjust the gown she was wearing baring almost her chest which made Mr Gavriel took a look closer. 

' Wow, that is a nice chest, but to bad I burnt it at least you would have nothing to show off and no man would come you way knowing you have a burnt chest ' Mr Gavriel said to himself proudly like he had achieved something great as he swallowed a bump of saliva which made him lust over her but no he would not let lust outgrow his attitude towards her, Never.

When she was done adjusting her sleeveless gown, then she applied an ointment on the burn as she made some painful sounds.

Mr Gavriel gave a devilish smile and headed straight to his office.

When Tina was done applying the ointment she adjusted her gown back to normal and wore the jacket back as she buttoned it up so no one would see the injury she had sustained.

She thanked God for the fact that she wore the jacket along with her.

When she was through adjusting her dress, she wiped of the traces of tears on her face as she wears an ordinary white powder on her face and lip gloss on her plumb lips as she picked up her phone and headed for Mr Gavriel's office. 

When she got to his office, she discovered that the door was open so she still decided to knock before entering.

" Come in " Mr Gavriel ordered before she could knock.

Tina walked gracefully into his office as one could not tell she was crying and weeping some minutes ago.

" What is the problem? " Mr Gavriel asked nonchalantly.

" Nothing is the problem, I just came to inform you that I have booked VIP reservations at McMurray's Bar and I have also informed the secretary of Mr Park about the reservation, so they will be there in thirty minutes time " Tina explained the new occurrence to him as she stared at her wrist watch.

" The time now is eleven twenty-six, so you should be the in thirty minutes time, that is all I came to inform you about " Tina added without leaving a room for Mr Gavriel to speak.

" If you do not mind I will be taking my leave now " Tina concluded as she walked out of Mr Gavriel's office.

Immediately she walked out she took a deep breath as she was happy about her boldness if not giving Mr Gavriel a chance to reply anything she had said if not he would have found fault in what ever she did or say.

When she walked into his office, Mr Gavriel did not know what to say to her and when she walked in, she came in with a type of aura that he found difficult to explain and then she started speaking without giving him a chance to reply and then she walked out.

' wow, so you are trying to outsmart me ' Mr Gavriel said to himself as he laughed out hard.

' Christina, I would not stop tormenting you even if you improve on your boldness ' Mr Gavriel added.

' So you can even act pretence, a while ago you were shedding tears and now you are acting like nothing like that ever happened ' he finally said as his phone rang and he picked it up.

" Hey, baby it seems like you forgot me and I am worried about this new changes of yours " a lady in her early twenties said over the phone

" Okay, there is absolutely nothing to worry about and I did not forget, just get ready for me tonight " Mr Gavriel said to the lady over the phone as he gave a wild smile when his mind displayed an image in his head.

" Then I would be expecting you " she said as Mr Gavriel hanged up immediately.

Tina still holding her phone walked to the elevator as she planned on going to meet Luca .

She entered the elevator and pressed on the first floor button and after some minutes she came out as she walked towards the receptionist table.

" Hi, Luca " she greeted Luca who was working on his system as he looked up at her.

" Hey, Christina, Wow, since you are here it seems like you got the job, right? " Luca asked as he walked out of his section.

" Yes, I got the job and that is because of you, Anabelle and Mr Aaron, I really appreciate all you guys did for me that fateful day " Tina appreciated and she did not notice that a button of her jacket had gone off and it immediately caught Luca's attention.

' what the hell is this ' Luca asked himself as he tried looking at Tina burnt chest without getting suspicious.

" Yeah, you do not need to thank us, all we did was what what supposed to be done, so I do not think there is a need for that " Luca said completely ignoring what he saw.

" Seriously? I still want to appreciate you guys, that is just my nature " Tina said as she smiled at Luca.

" Okay, I accept your appreciation, buh are you okay?, you look stressed out " Luca asked as he could not bear to keep the question to himself any more.

" Yeah, sure I am, are you trying to say that I look stressed out..no that can not be possible, I assure you that I am okay " Tina say lied subconsciously as she tried to make Luca believe that she was definitely fine.

" Okay, if you say so, I asked because you skin looks pale, your face and eyes looks swollen and in total you looked stressed but if you say you are fine then that is not an issue, but as a friend I will advise you to get enough rest and if there is something bothering you we are here for you, okay? " Luca advised.

" Are you serious? You guys would accept me as a friend? " Tina asked as her eyes glittered.

" Yes of course, we would do that " Luca replied.

" Thank you, thank you, thank you " Tina appreciated continuously as she clapsed her hands together like a child.

" Do not worry, once I am chanced I will hang out with you guys " Tina assured Luca.

" That is good.. we will be expecting you then "  Luca said

" Please I would like to ask you a question " Tina said.

" Sure go on, I will answer you as far as the question is in my capability " Luca replied

" Please does Mr Gavriel suffer from mood swings like does he acts rascal for no just reason and gets happy for hurting other people " Tina asked and Luca stared at her with confusion because he knew exactly what she was saying.

" Eehhmm, yeah, he does but not to the extent of making the person sustain injuries, the highest he can do is to fire the person but he does not get happy doing it, it is just a normal thing for him since he does not care about other people feelings " Luca explained.

" Really? But why is he happy troubling me? " Tina asked without knowing when the question came out of her mouth and when she looked up at Luca his facial expression explained that he was already interested in the conversation.

" Can you explain better, Tina " Luca asked.

" Okay, this morning I prepared hot black tea without sugar as instructed by Mr Aaron and I took the tea to Mr Gavriel but when he tasted it, he poured the hot tea on me saying that I put sugar in it when I did not do that, so I had to prepare another one " Tina explained while demonstrating with her hands.

" What? He poured hot tea on you because he claimed that you put sugar in it? That is bad infact it is total wickedness " Luca said so angrily as he totally for that he was talking about his boss.

" Hey, Luca calm down, someone might hear you shouting " Tina said as she patted Luca on his shoulders.

" But that is not fair, you could press charges against him for that but the problem is that you would not win the case because he has power to buy the judges, it is really bad " Luca said expressing his mind and that was true no one could bring him down because he is DEVIL himself.

" Yeah, that is true but I will just have to be careful around him so I would not get hurt " Tina said as massaged her nape.

" But you are already h... " Luca was still talking when Tina's phone rang.

" I think you are having a call " Luca informed Tina as she raised her phone to her eye level and stared at the unknown number as she sluggishly slides the green icon and puts the phone on her ear.

" If you ruin this meeting for me, consider yourself dead " the person on the the other side of the phone said furiously as he hanged up immediately.

Tina been confused brought down her phone as she tried to recognize the voice.

" Oh God, it is Mr Gavriel, I have to go now, have a nice day " she said to Luca as she bade him goodbye.

" Yeah, have a nice day too " Luca said 

" Thank you " Tina appreciated as she walked towards the elevator and Luca went back into his section.

' what the heck was that on her chest ' Luca asked himself as he continued working on his system.
