Chapter 156: Nicole and I

" Sir, I do not understand why you are asking me all of this questions, you know the answers so are you trying to get in my nerves or what? " I asked Mr Gavriel almost furiously, I could not bear to keep my mouth shut.

" No that is exactly not what I meant, but if I had upset you with the question just forget about it " Mr Gavriel replied as he kept in sipping from his glass cup.

" Well it was not that I was upset but the question was capable of making me upset, I had to cut off my long hair because of your anger issues towards me, I am in a whole lot of pain because of you attitude towards me, the burn on my chest, my hair, I have not cried as much as I have the past two days I have stayed in this house " I replied, I did not even know when those words came out of my mouth like a running tap but probably because I had to pour it out and I wanted him to hear every single bit of it.

Mr Gavriel looked at me but I could not explain the look on his eyes, it some how looked like pity, pain, drunkness, anxiety,  and the rest I could not tell.

I could not tell if he was felling pity for me or whether he was telling him self that I have not seen any thing yet from him or that I was starting, I could not tell at all so I waved it off.

" The colour of you hair looks nice, and the length is okay, it is just like mine " Mr Gavriel said as I looked at him in awe, he totally ignored my last reply to him, so that means I wasted my time answering his question.

Mr Gavriel felt touched when she said all of that again to him for the second time, he remembered how she expressed her self to him last night about how bad he had been treating her the past few days she had stayed in his house, he remembered how she cried and those tears were geniue, he wondered if he had gone to far in his quest to punish her and now the worst part of it was that she had cut her hair because a part if it got burnt when he made her face the fire.

" Yeah, thank you, my best friend is always the best as she knows exactly what is good for me " I said indirectly praising Nicole.

" It seems like you are fond of your best friend a lot, is she related to you in any way? " Mr Gavriel asked me as he stared blankly at my face.

" Yeah we are so fond of each other like we are each other back bone, though we are not related, we met in college and since then we have always been there for each other. " I replied happily, I just found out that anything that had to do with Nicole and I, I was so joyous when it came to us.
