" Nicole, you are one of our best workers and not having you in the office for a week would definitely not be a good thing.. " Mr Gilbert stated.

" Yes sir, I know that, even if it is not up to a week, I just need to be by their side, they have always supported me in my hard and weak times and leaving them when they both need me would be so heart breaking, please Sir I really need this leave and I promise you that if you give me this leave I would be back immediately it is over " Nicole said as her voice cracked and tears fell of her eyes, Tina got up from the couch and went to sit beside her as she pat her back and held her hand that was not occupied, she consoled her, she did not know how Nicole was feeling at that moment but she knew that definitely it was heart breaking and deserved to shed tears, it seemed like Nicole was really serious about the fact that she did not want Ivy to take any chance.

" Well, I can sense that it is really important for you to be by their side, so I would not stop you, since you asked for a week leave I would grant your request but make sure you come back strong and healthy, I would not want you to come back sick okay? " Mr Gilbert said as he heaved a huge sigh.

" Thank you so much sir, I really appreciate this, I really do appreciate and I promise you that I would be back at work strong and healthy and I will also take good care of them so they would recover within the space of one week " Nicole appreciated him as she jumped down from the couch like a child who had just been granted the request to go play outside with her friends, her joy knew no bounds, Tina was shocked at her friend's behavior but her instincts told her that she had been granted the privilege to skip work for a week and she was so happy for her, definitely Mr Gilbert had some human conscience to understand her predicament.

" Okay, just take care of yourself, I would go back to bed now " Mr Gilbert said as he hanged up the call. He knew how happy Nicole would be just because he granted her request.

All the years he had known her, right from her childhood, once she asks of something and gets it, she would be over joyous and would always jump around the whole place and she definitely grew up with that character and it made her outstanding.

" Okay sir, good night " Nicole said as she dropped the phone on the table beside her and looked at Tina.

" Tina, I can not believe this, he gave me a week leave, who would have told me that he would do that, I would not have believed it, I would even bet some dollars on it but he did it " Nicole said as she used her hand to cover her mouth.
