A Gift from Her Friend
Just as planned, Aiden took Amelia home that evening. "You told your parents, right?" Aiden asked, reminding her in case she forgot. He didn't want to sound like a conservative stickler, but Amelia's parents had once scoured the entire city when he took her to the beach with their classmates without telling them, and they came back late.
As punishment, both of them were grounded. They went nowhere except school and were even banned from seeing each other for three months, which was pure torture for Aiden. Nothing was fun without Amelia. They had been together since forever.
Another downside was that Aiden was forbidden from taking Amelia out of town for any reason. So, when he went to Hawaii for a weekend getaway, there was no way he could bring her along, no matter how much he wanted to.
