Bryson is dying

Nothing could match the inner peace that Selene felt watching her children sleep soundly without any worry in the world. A soft knock at the door caught her attention as Charlotte waved at her.

"You got me worried for a minute, babe , tell me everything that happened," Charlotte inquired, hugging her as soon as they entered the living room.

"Jake's back and he thinks there is something going on between me and Asher, and he wants to take the kids away from me," Selene explained breathlessly.

"What? Has he no shame?" Charlotte asked, shocked at how heartless Jake could be.

Selene didn't have to hold back or hide her fear from her friend.

"Am afraid Charr, what if he aims to fight for custody and takes them away? How can I live with myself?" Selene lamented, tears flowing down her face.

"Nothing like that will happen babe, just calm down," Charlotte said, comforting her friend.
