Chapter 25: Overjoyed

Darren helped me brought the drunken Nicholas in our bedroom. He is now sleeping and snoring I remove his shoes and his t-shirt; I went to the bathroom and get a wet towel and wiped it on his face and his body. I look on him for a moment, he looks so stressed but his handsome face remains though, I am selfish I knew he was hurting too just like I am and I let him more suffer. Remembering him earlier drunk in his office I have seen another side of Nicholas, with his personality, never would I have imagine that he would cry like a baby and that added to my list of melting my heart. Darren even told me that he was never drunk in his entire life since he wasn’t a heavy drinker, yes he drinks but only when he was stressed or in rage. Then I realized that I am only making myself more in pain for doing it to him. For ignoring him for days and it seems like I made my own punishment.
