7 Leave my bed!

"Why did you try to kidnap me?" Kierra asked after a while.  

Thus, the three of them told her the entire story about how Oliver had been in a relationship with Esmeralda but they found out through the internet that he had proposed to her.  

"I can't believe people like him really exist," Kierra muttered. She looked at the woman who was sitting there with a downcasted look. If she wasn't straight she would have married this woman. Esmeralda Fox was everyone's dream woman. How could someone like Oliver Jenner deserve this amazing woman?  

She didn't tell them but she had watched almost all the movies Esmeralda Fox had starred in. Not because she was a fan but because her movies always had the best hot scenes and ahem… 

"And our Esmeralda is a magnet for jerks and troubles," Amber sighed.  

A few days later.  

"I can't believe this is happening with my life," Esmeralda begrudgingly said as she looked at her bedroom that had been dishevelled.  

What could be more tragic than the fact that she was hosting her ex's runaway bride at her home? What's more the same runaway bride ended up becoming friends with her?  

Amber was right, she was a magnet for troubles.  

Not just this, even after a month, Kierra refused to leave her apartment, her bedroom and even her food.  

"Miss Jade, leave my bed!" Esmeralda boomed.  

"Come on Emerald, your bed is softer than mine," Kierra gave her best smile. She knew that Esmeralda would fall for it. Apparently, the girl was a softie. Taking a pause, she shamelessly added, "Also, Amy will be here with pizza and Haze with wine." 

Her eyes fell on the TV screen where her favourite movie was playing. She pushed Esmeralda away and said, "Now away from my sight. I want to see this movie. How could they cast such a dumb woman as a heroine? Oh God, you saved the movie. You are so amazing! What's so good about this pretty face heroine who can't act for shit. And this jerk hero? Who gave him the role?" 

"Of course, Esmeralda Fox is the best actress who saved the movie. But the stupid director and scriptwriter would always glorify the male and female lead, no matter how idiotic or twisted they are." 

Esmeralda just found out today that she was vulnerable to her praises. You praised her once and she would sell you even her soul and this was what Kierra was doing unknowingly. 

If Kierra Jade wanted Esmeralda Fox to feed her, she had to praise a certain actress to the moon and the back.

"Emerald, your role in the movie that you were going to sign with Director Stephen is given to a rookie, " Amber sighed as she saw her friend in the Make-up on a set of the movie. "I tried talking to the artiste director but he dismissed me saying that the company wants to rebrand your image."

"Rebrand my image?" Esmeralda raised her brow. "Does Oliver know about the decision?"

"He is the one who gave these orders, " Amber scoffed. "Your contract with the company doesn't end for a few months. Could it be that he is suspicious that you will not renew the contract?"

"Perhaps, " Esmeralda muttered. 

"Did you talk to your mother?" Amber asked. "She has been worried about you. She has been asking me and Hazel to take care of you or she is insisting to come here to take care of you."

"My mom hates America, " Esmeralda sighed. "Let her stay in Italy. She will wreak havoc if she meets Oliver anywhere. As for my jobs being snatched, let me take a small break."

"I'm sorry but you can't do that. Since your jobs are being taken, I'm trying to prepone all your jobs before they are taken away, " Amber said. "If you want, you can talk to Oliver and—"

"No! Even my heel won't talk to that bastard. If he really wants to corner me like this, let him. I'm Esmeralda Fox! I would die on the streets but I will never ask him for help, "Esmeralda replied in a determined tone. "Amber, I have made many mistakes in my life but I don't regret them. I will take Oliver Jenner as the biggest lesson that life has taught me. Actually, I don't even hate him as much as I thought. Hating him will put a burden on my heart and I genuinely want to move on."

"What if he comes begging for a second chance?" Amber softly asked. 

Esmeralda smiled. "You know if he really wanted me, he wouldn't be ashamed to show me off as his girlfriend. My contract will end soon. I will move on and he will just be a stranger in my life. But it didn't mean that my blood will not boil seeing him or I would do anything stupid."

Amber hugged her. "This is the best friend I love and hate. You know, I'm always with you. No matter what comes next, I have got you."
