Chapter 13: Talk

Once Bill sat next to him, Dipper asked a question. "Am I also the only one who can see you?" The demon turned his head, looking Dipper up and down, and he smirked. "You catch on quickly, I can give you that, Pinetree. Maybe you are intelligent." He felt the sides of his mouth twitch. It seemed like Bill was starting to come around a little. And, if Dipper played his cards right, maybe, just maybe, he could change Bill's mind. "So, what are you planning, anyway? World domination? Murder? Or just...?" He asked, calmly, trying to sound like he was actually uninterested. Bill stared at the sky. "Honestly, kid? I'm still figuring that out." Good, this was good! Dipper could work with that. "Well, what if I told you that, if you were a good guy, I bet we could be like brothers." Bill didn't look away from the sky. "Brothers?" He asked, drawing a knee to his chest. "Yeah. Like....think of how close Mabel and I are." "Ok." "And imagine that could be you with me. Going out on adventures. Teasing each other. Trying new things together. Wouldn't you want to know what it's like to be that close?" Bill thought for a moment, taking his eyes off the stars, and staring into Dipper's. "I...actually, I do." Dipper held out his hand. "Let's make a deal. If I willingly summon you, you have to not take over the world, or kill anyone, and have only good intentions. We'll be close, like me and Mabel, but we have to also be a trio sometimes. Which means you can't exclud Mabel all the time. It's ok sometimes but she is allowed to hang with us if we both giver her permission. I can even teach you some games." Bill smiled to himself, showing off perfectly white teeth, and nodded. "Deal?" He asked, reaching a hand out. "Deal." He grasped Dipper's hand, and shook it once, both of them ignoring the blue flame that sealed the deal. Dipper found himself smiling. So, maybe he had played his cards right. Maybe he did change the demon's mind. Bill didn't let go of his hand. In fact, he actually pulled it toward him, which pulled Dipper closer, too. And, before he could process, or yank his hand back, they met in the middle, and kissed each other.
