Chapter 5 My ability

Klaus

I fell asleep for 2 hours, we started at 6 and now it's 9, I woke up alone and better, the colours of the night howlers are all colourful, I was mesmerized for a while till I found the notes of doctor Hedley, its empty but some of the pages looked used and ink stains are scattered around the table cloth, wait a second!

"Does this note have spell in it?" I said talking to myself

"Yes, you are right Klaus- can I call you by name, my patient!" I was startled and looked back at the door

"Sorry, I touched your thing without thinking!!" I stepped away

"You're quite tall for your age?"

"What?" He beckoned his head on the mirror near me as if asking me to look this way.

My eyes widened looking at my chest without my head, how did this happen, my body, I was just a small peony like a 9 yer old

"You were asleep for exactly 36-40 hours I couldn't count and your body grew overtime, my theory was right, Night howlers and your own ability to heal made the healing faster!!!" He said laughing as if discovering a new toy

"What do you mean?" I said not taking my eyes off him who continuesly went to the notebook and started writing, every words he wrote disappear

"Can you see all the words written?"

"Yes I can, I'm the one who casted spell on this notebook, thus I'm also the only one who can read it all- and if I were you get out of this room and go eat a big platter to help your body store energy before we start another healing process, I still have a lot to discover including your ability which is inevitable to read!!"

"Oh- ok!!" I said puzzled

As soon as I got out and went down I realize my pants are the same and it looks like a three fourths, I'm glad I used my oversize wide pants, but I'm shirtless and my appearance is really skinny I can see my ribs

"W-who are!!" A sword was drawn on my neck, I was startled for a while before I realized the two is staring at me alarmed

"Wait- wait it's me!!" I said with hands up in the air

"Like who- are you a friend of the doctor?!"

"You don't recognize me!!!"

"Hoo!!" I heard a small talk coming from Gavin

"Your young master!!" We all looked up to the blonde head coming down with a grin in his face

"Klaus! Y-young master!!" The two looked at me

"B-but- young master has a grey hair! And a rusty eyes!!" I felt a hand on my shoulder as if I am being presented

"Gentlemen, I present to you.....my work of art!" The two looked stunned so I had to comfort then both

"Remember Gavin, the first time you met me I had a dark Jet hair and a yellow eyes, this is the real me before I consumed the poisons that slapped my appearance to grow!!" Gavin's face relaxed and a smile formed in his face, he was speaking in sign language I can't understand

"He said you are right!!" Says Morgan

"Come now and sit down before we go to bed!!"

"But I just came back from a slumber!!" I said sitting down with them

"Hmm yes, these two though I cooked you somewhere they keep glaring at me while you were asleep, I really do not want any presence inside the room to keep the howlers from being distracted in healing your bones, I handled the poison out of your body, thus magic healing made it all happen, honestly I was surprised to see your appearance, you really have a blood royalty!!" I was a bit embarrassed on his words and my two servants kept a smile on their faces, but right now I want to eat everything I see on the table.

While they sleep I kept myself nailed in the mirror, the only thing I need to do now is work out and put meat on my body, I'm glad I have Gavin to hunt and help me

What I find weird is my body seeking for cold, I can't keep a shirt on

I found myself going out to the field and found a cliff where it's a plain grassy field, the best part is the glowing howlers on the grass serving as a natural lamp and moon as theirs parent looking after them, they posses various colours according to their liking and each time I pass through they become cerulean blue for it's the colour I desire

I sat down opening my white shirt and let my body eat up the cold temperature of the wind, how I love the wind dancing with my hair, I suppose I need to cut them because I'm so irritated when it hits my neck

"You enjoying my prince?"

"I am not a prince!!"

"Hmmm, but a prophetic dream said so!!"

"How so?"

"I don't know?" Hedley put down the lamp on the grass, pink colours are glowing near a howler near him

"Pink!!"

"Yes, a pure heart with a beautiful desire howlers can feel it!!" He chucked and sat below me

"How about me?"

"No se' It's my first time to see someone has a golden colour around him and look, your colour influenced every howler in this plain now they are all Golden"

My eyes were wide to see a plain full of glowing gold howlers, even the pink colour which Doctor Hedley influenced became golden

"Is it thier first time to feel this colour?"

"Yes, could be!!" He smiled

We both sat on the grass staring at the starry skies

"What did you find out bout me doctor?" I asked

"Complicated, your power within is something to be careful off, your ability is to control something you can't control and that is hidden, one more thing as per what I heard about you shattering the glasses, you might have the ability to move object or even nature- it's really a big study since the mana in your body is overflowing- do you feel hot all the time recently!!" He said explaining all the details

"Erm, I guess so! All I know is I want to be shirtless cos my body feel like it's in a warm area!!" I answered him

"That is your mana circulating healthily within your blood that's why you feel warm all the time, even now that I feel so cold you seem comfortable with the icy wind!!" He's right, Doc is indeed in a thick jacket while I'm not affected at all

"You can sleep here if you want, nothing will harm you, night howlers ring like a bell when they sense danger, I'll go back inside the house since it's almost midnight, goodnight prince!!" He said pulling himself with lamp and waving

"I am not a prince!!" He's so stubborn

For a brief moment we stayed with the doctor, I found out Morgan likes to study herbs and took a liking to medicine, I thought he wanted to be a knight despite being desperate to be one, he's only 15, Gavin in the other hand got comfortable hunting us food and bringing home meat to cook... We stayed here for two weeks and I'm glad the letter I sent my grandparents were received

I had gained a lot and good that my appearance is getting better and better... I'm as tall as Gavin with a height of a 6ft one, he's taller by two inches, my hair is cut by Gavin also with his own knife

I looked like a man that I can't compare to the boy whom his step mother grew and poisoned, I look a bit like dad but my eyes are not emerald green, I can't also compare my original healthy appearance to my body in my past life, I can't gain any muscle and grew only by 5'7, I cried in the mirror once thinking about how blessed my second chance is... When I go back home I'm gonna train with the knight.... Nevermind going back to the capital I need to look new before I steal back my seat

I know this time of my life, I am supposed to be back at the city getting mock in parties and pitied by all my cousins and siblings.... There is also a time when I was cast out of the title and it was given to my step mother's son, Polly.... I was just there standing on the side while they all celebrate for him while I storm out of envy

"Ha!" I'm gonna come back and teach you all a lesson! Just wait for Big brother to come home and take a seat on his original position
