Slamming my alarm clock off I frowned and opened my eyes and woke up ,i changed out of my pajamas and went to the washroom to get my face washed and proceeded to make breakfast, eggs over rice with the leftover salads from my fridge

I made way to the dining table and sat down and glaced at my run down but clean and tidy apartment and felt a bit lonely but

" Thanks for the food god "

One still has to be thankful for what he got

Picking up my spoon I took a portion of the rice and omlette and just as I was about to eat it

BOOOMMM

An explosion reverberated throughout the building, living at the 3rd floor of this apartment I hurriedly ran out of the room as the explosions kept recurring ,not even caring about my alcoholic and noise pollutionist neighbours I made it out of the apartment faster than I could believe

But what I saw outside, at the skies, it made me want to return to my house

" This doesn't seem to be a dream I should start running ".

The sky was violet and was full of circular portal like things, and from those portals I could see dots dropping out so even if i didn't know what they were I immediately started to run at the opposite direction

" Huff Huff hfff "

After running for 39 minutes away not taking any public transportation I hid in the central park and drank the water I stole from a convenience store, I stole a knife, bag ,canned food and 4 bottles of water and one change of clothes, well after seeing the stuffs I saw on the way I figured that I wouldn't get arrested in this new environment where where a 20 feet tall spider armies walks about the streets of New York and kills people

Indeed ,an apocalypse has happened, the spiders were also just one of the horrible monsters I've seen too, Cerberus the size of a truck and can breath fire, zombies, gargoyles, therianthropes that eats the civilians raw and dyed the streets red with blood

Tired , traumatized and panicking I rested and took a very panicky breath

{ What do I do ? Am I gonna die? Before I'm even 18 and lose my V card ? I DON'T WANNA DIE !!}

Taking deep breaths calmed my nerves and started to think about the choices I currently have

1) Kill myself and spare myself the misery of being eaten alive

2) Keep running till I find a safe shelter

3) Stay here and wait for people to stumble across this particular area of this park

' Should I just stay here? The army might come here a fterca while of i stay here '

Hearing the screams of citizens across the park didn't make me feel like going out to search for a safe zone, waiting for help seems a lot of a sweeter choice

But I knew as I looked at the sky above my head ,the sky that dropped abominations like the giant that I can see towering over 70 meters in height on my left if I look ,the government won't be able to plan a search and rescue anytime soon

' I need to keep moving '

" Oh man, what the hell is this situa- "

Stopping my sentence I slowly turned right

A fat and big green creature with pointy nose and ears with the most hideous looks

" A hobgoblin? "

GRAAAAA!!!

" AAAAA!! "

I ran, I ran as hard as I could and the hobgoblins chased after me with crazed eyes filled with gluttony

And after a few seconds later I saw a pond and dove inside and to my relief the hobgoblin didn't chase me in water but I didn't stop and saw across the park and hurriedly moved out of the park with extreme caution

My heart was beating so fast right now from all this horrible situations that I felt mentally drained and fatigue was overcoming my body, I wanted to sleep so bad,but everything around me, the mutilated and leftover body parts on the streets would only serve as a nightmare fuel if I slept right now beside I had to find a safe place first

" God..damn ..it "

I dragged my wet body across the street thatw as rather desolate as the wave of monster apparently moved passed this street and finally saw small garage opened and empty next to an apartment, feeling a bit motivated now that I saw a place where I could rest I moved across street in haste

" Heeelp please!! Anyone please"

" Waaaaa!!! Mom!!! "

I stopped on my track

And turned towards the right

On my right at about 60 meters away was a car, inside it was a woman and her daughter who seemed no older than 9, and the car was being attacked ferociously by something that looked like a hell hound, black furless skin with eyes and fangs of fire ,barking furiously ,it was slowly tearing the car's door open and in no time would tear the car apart of devour the two humans in it

" Nooo!! GOD PLEASE NO!! "

" WAAAA MOOM WAAAA!!!! "

Grrrrrrr!!

And on my left was a safe spot where I could rest and close the door to avoid monsters for a while , honestly anyone would choose the path on the left for sure, who would save some stranger and risk it all for people who might not even remain alive later anyway ?

The answer would be Steven Smith, me the guy who aspire to be a cop like his dad who died on his duty

The hound stopped it's assault and looked at me the guy who called out, so did the two people inside the car

Moving away from the car the hound growled and slowly moved at my direction

I slowly moved towards the garage and so did the hound and then suddenly I ran for the garage 20 meters away from me with whatever strength I had left and shutted the rolling shutters immediately

GRUFF!! GRUFF! GRRRR!!!

And in an instant ,the hound of hell started to bang the rolling shutters with its body that was the size of a motorcycle in rageful frenzy ,the metal shutters began to tear slowly from the hounds heated fangs

Seeing the big dog gnawing through the shutter I began to move back and rummage through the garage

{ Cowbars! Metal rods! ANYTHING PLEASE!!}

" C'mon c'mon!!! "

Moving to the other shelves with the sound of my doom getting past the iron shutters I looked for anything I could use as a weapon in haste

And what I found made me realise something that i forgot because of all the bullshit I've seen recently

The hound in it's voracious frenzy tore through the shutter after a minute of it's violent attempts and entered the garage

And abruptly stopped infront of the human ,the one who was suppose to be his prey

Lowering the gun I looked at the computerized holographic notification screen that popped up infront of my eyes

After a while I got out and took the civillians trapped in the car back into the garage and the three of us hid inside the garage,and the torn shutter, I plugged it with duct tape and shoved some stuffs like the steel tables on the and garbage that was in the garage infront of the torn spot, and about the game like notifications, all I knew was that when it said ' You leveled up ' I felt lighter and faster ,as it doesn't seem harmful I just accepted it for now

Sitting inside the Honda CVR that was in the garage along with the two people ,a mother and her child who were still quite and meek as sheeps, the car was already packed with the supplies I got from the garage and cartridges of the shotgun, I asked them with my new semi-automatic shotgun on my left while I sat on the driver seat

" Mam ? "

" Y..yes ? "

I felt a bit bad for her seeing how traumatized she looked and her child as well, they were still hugging eachother while shivering, both were blonds and the mother seemed to be in her late twenties ,a fair beauty, the child on closer inspection seemed a bit better than her mother who looked completely infected with fear, atleast she wasn't as pale from fear as her mother

" What are you gonna do now mam? "

" Umm...C..can you give us a lift? "

" ....."

' she's desperate hūh '

" Please !! My husband !,I..I have to go see my husband !!! "

She let go of her child and suddenly cling to my sleeves in a desperate plea

I pushed her aside and waited for her to calm her nerves

" I'm sorry, it's.. it's just .."

She began to cry

" This whole thing has fucked me up "

The daughter in tears also began to cry seeing her mom cry in despair

Looking out above from the window, I stared at the steef roof that was getting dented by talons of something, somthing big

I hurriedly got back in the car and took the car keys that I found in the garage and started the engine

IGNORING THE SCREAMS OF THE MOTHER DAUGHTER DUO I STEPPED ON THE PEDAL AND RAMMED THROUGH THE SHUTTER AND DROVE OUT

As I drove out in the desolate and bloody street the cry of the creature that attempted to break the garage's roof shrilled again ,it was following us that I was sure

" I NEED YOU TO DRIVE!! "

" I CAN'T, PLEASE I CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT NOW !! "

Both the mother and daughter looked at me who swore at the mother

As the shrills resounded, dustclouds began to catch up to us

" Drive, head to where your husband is, what ever is chasing us will kill us if I don't slow it down atleast, now if don't want to shoot the damn thing from the fucking sunroof!! "

The shrills shouded a lot louder and closer

" YES..YES I WILL!!! "

With that the two of us slowly and cautiously exchanged positions and I grabbed the shotgun loaded with 3 shells and opened the sunroof and looked at the creature that chased us

" Holy shit "

I swore with a small voice

The creature, it looked like a pterodactyle with 3 heads and it was covered in blood, it's beak as sharp as a spear with 4 eyes on each head ,with a wingspan of about 60 ft, it was humongous

At a rather close rage the first shot landed on the creature's left head which suddenly fell limp

The creature suddenly flapped it's wings and stopped accelerating and looked at it's dead head for a while
