Chapter 26: The Great Shift Part 12

"You're bold to fight a martial artist like me, I'll give you that much, Lucius! But you know as well as I, that battles in this age are fought with abilities that go beyond human comprehension!"

The Lord of the Abyss extended his right hand and it immediately regenerated, he grabbed the idle Sword of Emanation and held it with both hands.

"You damn right I do!" A light smirk poured from Captain Lucius' lips and he held 3 cards. "The World", "The Magician", and "The Sun!" Suddenly, a figure crashed from the sky and landed right next to Lucius.

It was 'The Fool!'

THE GREAT SHIFT PART 12

Immediately, the card of 'The Magician' disappeared and landed right in front of the Lord of the Abyss. "Even an idiot would know that if you summon that card, our fun would end instantly," Lucius couldn't disagree with the Lord of the Abyss as even the King knew the great power within 'The Magician' card.

That right there is our winning factor! The words of Lucius resounded through the minds of Night Riders as they all nodded in unison. Seeing the outcome, the Lord of the Abyss smirked as a black ethereal barrier formed around the card.

Nodding at this turn of events, Lucius placed down 'The World' and 'The Sun.' Those two cards along with 'The Moon' and 'The Star' are conjured cards, meaning they often share abilities and looks.

This was the case with 'The World' and 'The Sun!' The World like The Sun had no waist or legs, he was completely floating with his ribcage open to reveal a one-to-one globe of the world that floated. He wore gentlemen's clothes with his eyes closed, he looked calm and peaceful with an air of madness and envy around him.

'The Sun' was the exact same. No lower waist with his ribcage open to reveal a one-to-one globe of the sun. It exuded the same warmth and beauty as the sun, in terms of looks—the Sun was a young child with blonde hair, he looked joyful and relaxed with his eyes closed.

Crescent, forms a barrier around the area. Einhorn joins them in the following battle. The rest are idle until my say-so!

With Lucius' orders resounding through their heads, the female figure—Elena Crescent crossed her fingers and muttered something in quick succession. While it seemed like nothing had happened, a barrier formed around the area—approximately 10km by 10km square barrier with nothing coming in or out. That includes Daemon who flew in the sky, unsure of his new move.

Suddenly, to the right and left of 'The World' and 'The Sun', Einhorn and Lucius appeared. The Lord of the Fiery Abyss didn't seem too happy with his smirk diminishing.

Sighing, they all felt this sinister aura around him as if expanded and contracted constantly. Eventually, black liquid seeped from the Lord of the Abyss' body towards the ground. It instantly covered the 10km by 10km barrier.

'The World' made the first move, he moved his right arm as the ground shook uncontrollably with rocky spikes protruding from the ground. They seemingly pierced the 'Abyss' and lay on the ground for a second before being consumed by it once again.

The rocky spikes stopped a dozen feet away from the Lord of the Abyss who striked the air with the Sword of Emanation. A tangled line slicing between space and time suddenly lit itself on fire with the strike flying toward them.

'The Sun' moved quickly, tanking the blow with ease while sunlight protruded through the Abyss-covered ground and night sky. The sunbeam shot forwards instantaneously making everything in its path nothing but cinder.

The Lord of the Abyss backhanded the sunbeam without hesitation as it moved upwards and hit the illusory barrier.

Caelum, Storm, Nocturne, and Crescent—an attack on my mark! Until then, hold off. Einhorn, follow my lead!

The cloaked figure to the right of 'The Sun', Einhorn, moved with grace towards the Lord of the Abyss with Lucius doing the same. Fire and Blood surged around them as the celestial and astral powers clashed with the malevolent force of the Abyss.

The Lord of the Abyss, his dark aura pulsating, while a smirk mocked them relentlessly. "Keep it up! Let's dance until we can't no more" His laughter echoed, reverberating through the barrier.

Before 'he' could attack, Einhorn came from behind him and struck. The Lord quickly turned around and grabbed Einhorn's hand. His smirk twisted and cruel, fire and blood surged from his open palm and engulfed her figure.

The Lord of the Fiery Abyss couldn't even glow in his kill before he felt the fire that engulfed Einhorn pull away and be thrown at him. Looking to his right, he saw Ashbourne with his hands extended.

Narrowing his eyes, they all watched the Lord of the Fiery Abyss being engulfed within the flames. They quickly disappeared in a swirling vortex of fire as the red unhindered flames were hindered as they turned black.

Smirking, he extended his arms out gracefully and shot the black abyss fire. Everything in its path was turned to ciders as Ashborne could only widen his eyes before the black abyss fire arrived in front of him.

It hit as the fire extended on each end. This served to only widen the Lord of the Fiery Abyss's smirk. Unfortunately for him, the smoke and ciders were extinguished by a fast whirlwind attack. This didn't faze him as he simply backhanded the wind away.

Closing his eyes, he chuckled loudly. "Smart, smart! Using my power to hide your existence from me. No wonder you creatures are this kingdom's best!" To his left and right, both Einhorn and Ashborne were fine with sweat covering them.

Their specially made hoods were burnt to coders revealing their appearances.

Einhorn was a short and skinny woman. With soft and feminine features, she looked more like a doll than a woman. Her hair roots were completely black with the tips showing signs of blonde, she had deep red eyes and soft skin. Under the fragments left of the hood, she wore a black shirt and black trousers.

Ashborne looked nearly exactly how his personality was—loud and bold. He had shoulder-length red hair, with deep and oddly calming blue eyes. Under the small pieces left of the black hood, he wore a white undershirt with a deep red vest, over all of that—was this broken jacket with tan fur on the collar.

Grabbing the remains of the black hood, Ashborne ripped the hood off and threw it away—it burnt to ashes with the snap of his fingers. Einhorn quickly followed suit.

I see. I could tell by that woman's body stature and her spirituality that she was probably from the golden-eye bastard's house. Barriers and all that other bullshit. Fits the hair and all. Thinking inwardly, the Lord of the Abyss smirked as he got ready for more.
