The beginning

It all began with a teenage boy Kuba, who lives in the village of Shukako. Shukako is an isolated island locked away from the outside world, due to the war between humans and monsters. Her people are Known for their gentle nature and hospitality.Kuba was born unto a couple at their late stage of life. His parents died while he was a child during and invasion of strange beings into their village. He lived with his grandfather who was old and couldn't do a lot of things for himself. He helps him to look after the live stocks and house chores.

Since after the invasion on foreign beings into Shukako, the was a law passed out that youths are to be recruited into scouts, as they are to be trained in readiness of battle against sudden attack from monsters. " Kuba you are now of age to join the scouts" Kuba's grandfather said to him, Kuba has turned thirteen years of age, he grew to be a fine man but do not have the structure of a warrior. He was sad on hearing those words, he thought to himself " am a weakling, i cannot join the scouts I'll be killed and fed upon by monsters" his grandfather offered to take him to the scout camp as soon as the full moon become visible, as the day of the full moon approches, so also did Kuba get worried about how his life will be living outside his home....
