I watched as Leo came down from the room I had temporarily given him. Of course, his sudden evolution did go unnoticed by me.

It was obvious that the main body had pulled some strings to make that possible otherwise it would be impossible for a human to become a demon. Although he was only a lesser demon now, I knew that he could evolve into a greater demon or archdemon anytime since he fulfilled two very important requirements, namely having a name and a material body.

Since he didn't evolve into a greater demon straight away, it was clear that the main body wanted him to grow a bit on his own before he got another evolution.

I ignored him for now and continued serving breakfast to my paying customers.

When I was done, I turned around to see him just sitting at one of the tables in the corner quietly. I made another plate and brought it to him before seating myself at his table.

We just sat there in silence while he was eating his meal. When he finished he seemed to have calmed down a lot and actually started to open a conversation with me.

''Where is this, how did I get here, what was that earlier, and why do you look like this?'' All reasonable questions given his situation.

''Well, let's just start from the very beginning. My name is Zerr'on Ur'gazoth, I am a being from beyond existence itself and I travel from one reality to another''

''Wait, Wait, Wait. As far as I know, your name is Markus Reining and what is this nonessential talk about being beyond existence, did you hit your head somewhere old man?''

Sigh, this is going to be a long and annoying talk.

It took him a while to digest my nature and come to terms with the father he wanted to kill was actually an unkillable eldritch god.

''Continuing, my main body didn't want to-'' ''Stop, what do you mean by main body?''

Sigh x2

''I am just an avatar, an insignificantly small part of him, used to study this world without rejection from it and don't interrupt me again or you won't get any more answers''

''As I was saying, he didn't want to leave you, his firstborn, behind, so he just grabbed you and froze you in time until he saw it fit to release you. This reality is rather special as it allows anyone to get stronger fast and to astonishing levels as well, which is probably why he saw it as the perfect time to release you''

''Probably? I thought you were a part of him?''

''I am but I don't have any of his powers nor am I connected to his mind to let me know what he is thinking. In a way, I am an entirely new entity until he decides to absorb me back into him, that's also why I refer to him in the third person instead of the first''

''You said this reality allows one to grow stronger quickly, was that what happened to me earlier?''

''In a way. What you experienced was an evolution, the much rarer type of powerup here, normally you just get stronger through training and gaining skills''

I continued to explain to him about skills, evolution, races, and common sense of this word.

He stayed for two more days before I gave him some stuff and he left to start his own adventure. I did not doubt that when I see him the next time, he will be many times stronger than now, he might even become a true demon lord.

Since he left, I went back to my next major project which was gaining the ultimate skill, Uriel.

Main Pov

I watched my son´s and avatars' interaction with satisfaction. I had indeed used my small but growing control over the voice to make it think that Leo was not only an inhabitant of this world but had always been a demon.

I didn't give him his Unique skills directly but I was able to deceive the voice into making it think that he met the requirements for these skills. I am looking forward to his growth.

I was sitting on my throne, deciphering the Rongo Rongo and the limited among of data I had on Manas. My study on how to gain Omniscience was slow, even slower if you consider the fact that I was studying the Voice of the World at the same time, but time was something I definitely wasn't lacking.

My thoughts were interrupted when Esdeath made herself comfortable on my lap. I normally wouldn't allow such actions but the barely noticeable bump made it hard for me to punish her or even refuse.

First Leo and now this, I had a feeling that I was getting a little soft but I didn't care. I didn't have a strong bond with Leo since we barely saw each other but this was different, these two were constantly near me and I couldn't help but want to spoil them. I never thought I would get so excited over something so little.

And yes, you heard me right, 'these two'. I didn't look into the future but I could still tell that two lives were forming inside Esdeath

I guess the next time I meet Leo, he will be a big brother, I wonder how he will do.

A/N- I decided it was time for a teeny tiny bit of character development. Soon he is going to be Omnipotent and his desire for power will decrease massively, making place for other desires and feelings. That doesn't mean however that he is going soft, he still won´t even blink when innocent die or a universe gets destroyed
