98 Tensura 2

Avatar Pov

It's been two years since I arrived in this new world and have long gotten used to my new lack of power, in fact, I have been training diligently to gain more skills. Skills might not be permanent for me since I was just an Avatar but they helped my main body to understand the nature of this world faster.

By now I was sure that I was in Tensura and at least a thousand years to bout. I honestly couldn't tell if this was the web novel, light novel version, or something in between, don't think that it doesn't make much of a difference.

Both the light novel and web novel have a different world build, antagonist, and timeline. If I had to put it into words I would say the light novel was more complete but the web novel was more powerful.

The LN version only existed for over 2000 years and the strongest skill was Ultimate while the WN one for over 20000 and went up to Origin. Ultimate skills were useless for my main body's caliber but Origin skills were still of great use.

Over the last two years, I had gotten a lot of skills, even some unique ones, but that wasn't important as long as they didn't evolve into higher tiers. I knew that my main body was looking through my eyes to study both how skills worked as well as the Voice of the World.

Tensura was actually also perfect for my current problem with the study of Omniscience. Not only would the study of skills like Great Sage or Raphael allow me to be able to create a spiritual lifeform that could manage and evolve my library and its endless knowledge using its immense computing abilities but the study of Manas could allow me a weaker version of Omniscience.

Manas were a spiritual lifeform with the ability to control infon´s. Infon´s or data particles were physical knowledge in the form of particles so small and so fast that even the beings here that could easily move at light speed couldn't observe them. Only stopping time would allow you to observe them without a Manas but Manas would still be more efficient at reading the infinite information about everything in the universe.

They basically allowed its user Omniscience in the Universe they were at, not quite what I was searching for but a good step towards it.

Right now I was thinking about my future in this world, specifically evolution. Since this avatar is a human, I had the choice between an Enlightened, Demonoid, Divine, and Undead. Undead and Divine were immediately denied, leaving me with Enlightened and Demonoid.

Enlightened were humans who broke through their mental limitations and thus evolved their bodies into a higher existence while the Demonoid, or Majin, were a result of magic, either because of too many magicules in the body or due to the invasion of a monster's magicules.

Whichever I might choose, I will have the ability to break through to either a Divine Human or Divine Demonoid. It wouldn't give me traditional divinity like its name might suggest but it would still be a nice power boost and most importantly, it would allow my skills to evolve.

This was actually a tough choice since one side drastically increased my magicule reserve and increased my already high magic talent but made me vulnerable to holy magic, while the other broke the limitations of my brain and would allow me to think with any part of my body as well as make it significantly stronger.

I think I will go with the Demonoid Road.

Now all I had to do was catch a strong monster and use it to perform a ritual on me. That wasn´t that hard in itself since I was around A-rank or even Special A-rank in strength but I wanted a monster that had a higher ranking than me for the ritual, after all, I didn't want to have a weaker evolution because I was lacking magicules, that would be very embarrassing.

After over a month of searching, I finally got news about an S-rank monster nearby. God, I wished my main body would help me out at least somewhat even if it was something small like giving me information.

I immediately set out to its last reported location before it was killed and taken away by these annoying adventurers.

It took me two days to track down and kill the giant boar, I wonder if I will get some of its powers or traits when I evolve using it as material for the ritual. Carrying that stuff was the greatest annoyance to ever exist. Other protagonists have an Inventory, and Cultivator have a space ring but my main body is too lazy to give me something similar, even if it would just take a wave of a hand.

I barely managed to drag it to a nearby cave and cover my tracks before the adventurers came looking for the next monster that was going to pay for their alcohol and women. They weren't nearly as pleasant to be around as many animes and mangas made them out to be, most of them were arrogant drunkards.
