1 PROLOGUE

"woah!!!!'' young Anna exclaimed looking at the large building in front of her just oozing magical fumes. At the age of 3 and a half years old she could see the magical fumes the building released, but no one knew…no one even suspected a human child to have such a capability. Young Annabelle Fryst was the daughter of a maid. Gennevieve Fryst. Her mother worked for one of the rich families at Grove, so once in a while when her neighbor was too busy to look after Anna, she would bring her along.

That was something she loathed. She hated the monsters living at Grove and wanted her daughter to have nothing to do with them. She was always thankful to God her child was like her, human…

"Mum! Mum!!'', she tried to struggle as she noticed the object of her interest slowly moving away from her. No, it wasn't the building moving but her or more precisely the carriage her and her mother were in, unfortunately for her Academia was not their destination.

Academia was a school, a learning ground of sorts for the Grovians. The most powerful amongst them were sent there to hone their skills and work for the elites, while the gifted royals were nurtured into future leaders….All the kings and queens, in fact the whole entourage of the royal family including the royals themselves have passed through Academia. Boys and girls all alike wanted to be enrolled in the school.

There, money was not a guarantee, neither was authority, but raw unbridled power was. People called the students of Academia prodigies, heroes but Gennevieve called them monsters, demons and she would rather die and kill her child with her own hands than see her become one of them. Where others were proud of their children attending Academia Gennevieve would rather run from it because she knew, oh she knew that there in that building was something or rather someone far more dangerous than the devil himself….young Brown Morrey, the Lord of Grove's first son. As if just thinking of his name could summon him, she caught sight of the rumored molten brown orbs from one of the windows of Academia. Dead, emotionless, empty and they were staring at her Anna. She sucked in a sharp breath of air as her heart stuttered.

That was enough to wake her up from her reverie, "It's okay dear, one day….very soon and near you shall see its four walls...'' her mother cooed her quiet, soon she stopped struggling to look back because she believed what her mother said . Little did young Anna know that faith had its own plan.

"young master! Young master!'' the servant finally let out a breath of air, secretly wiping his sweaty fingers on his breeches, him accompanied by the principal of Academia were to usher and welcome the young Lord of Grove to Academia. He was the youngest student ever!

At barely 5 years old he was incredibly intelligent with an IQ far above that of his age, though how far no one knew because he rarely ever spoke, but his eyes…those molten golden globes told you he knew. His power or what they had seen of it was immense, what made people scared was what they had not seen….was it more? And if it was how much more?

Maybe that's why the little brat always carried himself with so much pride thought the servant.

As a faithful servant of the lord of Grove he had seen quite a lot of life, no one truly understood the facets of life unless they met people of power, people who knew no bounds, people who had wealth under their feet, people who stopped at nothing to get what they wanted…..But amongst all those kinds of people there was, him, the young lord of Grove. Snapping out of his thoughts the young servant regarded his young master.

"What were you looking at young master?" The servant asked trying to catch a glimpse of what caught this stoic boy's fascination, but he saw nothing though …just dust.

'freak' the servant thought, before smiling at his master, fortunately for him though, young Lord Brown was…distracted. Turning to the principal and his servant, in one's eyes he saw fascination, fear while in the other he saw obsession for power. Barely listening to what they were saying he followed them, clear turquoise blue eyes reflected in his mind…For the first time ever he thought 'beautiful'
