1 The orphan

Chapter 1

Lena was an orphan. Her parents died in a car accident when she was just seven years old, leaving her to be raised by her grandmother. Unfortunately, her grandmother passed away just a few years later, leaving Lena all alone in the world. She had no money, no family, and no prospects.

For years, Lena struggled to make ends meet. She worked odd jobs, lived in cheap apartments, and ate whatever she could afford. She was always one step away from being homeless, and she knew it.
