I always thought I was the unlucky one.

Everywhere I go I am always at disarray. Being the one always blamed isn't as fun as you'd think.

Especially at that time...

Out of the billions of people...why did it have to be me? I ask myself this OVER and OVER ε∀εrψ day.

And I always give the answer "I was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.".

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟱𝘁𝗵. A simple day....I wish.

Me being the forgetful person I am, had forgotten to buy food. Evening came around and I just couldn't hold my hunger in.

As I quickly rushed to the nearest store I was stopped by a sudden rush of strays. Eerily, all of them were black cats.

Now I wouldn't find that so unusual, but then it started raining, raining 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱.

I quickly brushed it off as nothing and hastily went inside drenched. And to my suprise I was met by dead silence.

I thought "Why is it so-" then I realized the rain...it stopped.

I could 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 it. The shivering of my hand, the goosebumps down my back...I couldn't stop. Looking around, I couldn't find what frightened me. It was like my instincts told me to sprint out of there. I felt every individual hairs in my body stand up.

A feeling of being watched, a feeling of being wanted to kill, a feeling that I was traumatized by. Then the lady next to me called out, "Is everything okay?", knocking me out of my trance, thankfully.

I again brushed it off as nothing, but kept my guard on for who scared the living daylights out of me.

A quick glimpse of a man stopped me for a sec. Staying in the dark facing us almost as if he was about to come here. He was wearing a mask of some sort.

There it was. The sound of the rain rushing faster than I had heard before, faster than the speed of a bullet. The sound of the water hitting the floor was loud.

There he was at the door. I was scared out of my mind. He was in all black with a mask covering his whole face. And before I knew it, there it was. The gun pointing right at me.

My mind was all, but blank. I couldn't think as I heard the voice of the man, "PUT THE MONEY IN THE BAG!!!". I had thought it was a joke, but why would it be.

I stood there frozen unable to move. I wanted to help. I wanted to scream. But I'm a coward, always running away from my problems. This was something I could not run away from. He 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 at me...

It's just a robbery I thought to myself, he wasn't really going to kill anyone...right? He was different..

He told me to come closer, the sound of his voice was deep as he said, "Come over boy!".

He had a second weapon ready. As I was near he quickly grabbed my hand and pressed my fingers against his gun. This only meant he was imprinting my finger print to his weapon.

𝘽𝘼𝙉𝙂

This was it sound, the sound of 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝. Right there, right there next to me, lay the dead body of the lady I just met. Her face splattered in blood, tears and 𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧. The face of holding on to dear life, that face I will never forget. Next thing I knew I was blamed for the murder and somehow sent to prison for 7 year. 7 years of my life shattered by that single night.

Now here I am trying to live a life living as a different person. I now go by Matsura. I was lucky enough to even find a girl. Her name is Suzuki. I currently live in Japan as a happy and soon future father. 1 more month and, my wife will give birth to my son. Then I will know that my life had not been for nothing. I will know that my life had not been destined to fail.

If there was 1 job i could get, it would be being a taxi driver. With a criminal record it was hard getting a job at all and I was lucky enough to get one. It was then I thought my luck had finally come around. I was a cab driver at night, although it was scary, I had become a man.

2 days later working as taxi driver, everything was normal, "Am I finally going to live a normal life?", I said to myself while driving. It was fun because I got to meet new people and though some of them were drunk and perverts and some just weird.

The next night I didn't expect it to be any different from the last 3 days. As I was driving, I hit something that's when my hand started to shiver. "What if I ran over a person?!", I thought to my-self worriedly. I quickly got out of the car and there it was a black cat lay there on the ground dead..

I must've been suffering from PTSD so I started to become more aware of my surroundings. "Maybe it's nothing and I'm just worrying too much", I said to myself while going back into the car.

I drove along the road when a man appears standing near the only street light that wasn't emitting any light. He stopped me, so as a taxi driver I had to stop. The door seemed to open by itself and looking at the rear view, the man wore a heavy big coat just long enough to cover his face. He sat behind me in the back seat and told me in a dark deep voice an address I had never heard before.

His voice sending horrific chills down my back. I looked back at him and got a nostalgic feeling. Brushing it off I started to drive. Not being familiar with the place, I felt uneasy. The passenger supposedly noticed and said,"Please continue I will give you directions".

The passenger then proceeds to give me complex and confusing directions. "Are we there?", I asked him. He said we were close. He gave me many directions,"3 lefts, 5 rights, and go around until you see a sign", the man said. I asked the man yet again if we were there yet. "We are close", said the man.

When we arrived at this sign he said almost the exact thing he said before.

I was now getting irritated because we went through towns and towns and ended up on the country side. I was definitely uneasy, so I turned around to ask the passenger where he is to be dropped off.

There was no response...

He 𝙬 𝙖 𝙨 𝙣 ' 𝙩 there.

I didn't realize I was still going, the car was still going. It was moving while I was there still looking back for the man that had suddenly vanished.

Before I knew it I was going DФЩИ.

I was falling off from a cliff. It was as if I was seeing it in slow motion.

People say you see the world slowly right before your death. It felt like an eternity, but it was just enough time to reflect.

I thought about my wife.

I thought about my unborn child.

I thought about my lıɟǝ.

I was happy.

I always thought I was the unlucky one.
